  • Port SSL messages to jabber/gtalk does not stick

    Hi-

It is not purely associated with Sierra, as happening on El Cap.  The port default to Google talk is 5223, which is blocked in my company.  I had previously configured messages to use 443, which is not blocked (and supports gtalk).  But at some point during the last couple months, gtalk stopped linking to work.  When I looked at it, she returned to 5223.  When I try to set it to 443 (disable the account, change the port, re - enable the account) everything looks good, but at the time when I try to connect, it turns to 5223.  I tried to delete the account completely re - create, both as a right has Jabber (port 443 from the beginning of setting) or as a gmail e-mail account and then change the port later.  Nothing does.

Thinking perhaps it was corrupted prefs, I deleted all the * prefs to iChat and everything that seemed related to google or jabber.  No change in behavior.

Anyone seen this before?  Help to solve if possible of love.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Currently I use port 5222 and without SSL and my account settings Google is for applications that are less secure.

    I can't use 5223 or even443 with SSL on.

  • Non-secure Jabber login?

    Greetings!

I had a devil of a time using my iChat since the last update.

I get the prompt on a non secure Jabber connection. Then he said: my password is not valid.

    Help!

I tried to reset passwords, signature/signature outside. I tried to remove some Keychain passwords.

Nothing seems to work, and I miss my cat.

    Hello

It would help if we knew which Jabber server you are trying to connect to.

I find that a Google Talk ID, I used since iChat 3 sign is no longer using the SSL protocol and will always yield a nonsecure connection.

This is despite me setting the element 'insecure Apps' at Google and by changing the name of the server and setting the Ports and SSL on my Mac.

Something always seems to substitute for settings for the Autodiscover Port and the server that takes the parameter disable SSL.

IT seems that the name of the server is therefore more talk.google.com either.

  • How to connect Jabber to MeetingPlace without HTTPS

    Hello

I Jabber for Windows v11.7.0 42920 build mode phone connected to the CUCM v10.5.2.13901 - 2. The CPU on CUCM services are created for ICT, directory and MeetingPlace. For MeetingPlace service, selected protocol is HTTP and port 80.

However, client Jabber, State of the connection for the meetings is: 'the last connection unsuccessful. Address is correct (configured in the UC services), but shows HTTPS rather than HTTP protocol configured. Traffic capture from my PC to the MeetingPlace server, I see HTTPS only, but on MeetingPlace HTTPS request is not enabled if this does not work. Why ignoring East-Jabber protocol and port settings in the CPU on CUCM services?

Is this a bug in Jabber or CUCM... or it could be another problem somewhere?

    Thank you

    S.

This is because jabber are supported meeting Cisco Webex's servers. It will not support another server in place of meeting even that it was listed in the Service profile. Check out the release notes link where he referred to the list of the local server supported by jabber below.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/Jabber/Windows/11_7/j...

Earlier version of jabber have the same behavior.

    I hope this helps.

  • Registration for authentication and crossing area of Jabber

    Hello

I used TMS 13.1.2 as authentication source LDAP for VCS-control and VCS Expressway, but noticed, that not all passwords are synchronized correctly in the LDAP H.350 MSDS database, because the user is recorded in two entries. I went to the local authentication, including the database configuration on VCS - C and the local database with the transmission by proxy SIP VSC-E to the VCS - C records. It works fine and I am able to make calls.

I created the search on VCS highway rules to replace all aliases MCU to an auto attendant external special. Stored locally on the VCS-E endpoint points are allowed to call internal aliases. I tried to do the same for the Jabber Clients, which is recorded in the crossing area of the VCS - C. This works as expected, because the Jabber Clients are not enrolled in a local area and SIP GUEST is not in dispute.

I expect that all the Jabber client message will be challenged by the VCSE, but this isn't the case. Accordingly, the guest of the SIP protocol is treated as an external user and not an intern.

These are the rules of research that I was talking about:

115     Enabled     "authenticated to internal"     Any      Yes      Alias pattern match      Regex      ^(.*)@my.domain$      Leave      Continue      TraverselZone

Is it possible to allow the Jabber Clients to be authenticated on the VCS-E, so a search rule can aply?

    Thanks for your help!

You get the 'Preparation device' key for your VCS-E so its free.

It may require a valid service contract.

I have the provisioning again running on a cluster of VCS - E in my lab, works very well.

In ancient times that the deployment has not officially supported, it was running great in any case :-)

Did not check if its now a deployment with support.

I don't know enough about your deployment to say what would be the best for you.

There will be some scenarios where not all features can be deployed together for some reason any.

Maybe someone can help you by looking at how implementation could be done better.

If you have authentication and integration of ads, that you need to connect

the VCS-E announced as well. Endpoints (at least for now) is not auth via AD, but you could

use a database of h.350 (could also be hosted with AD) or the local authentication database.

Now, which is also spread by TMS, could be an answer to your question as well.

  • Jabber & the question of control of VCS - Inbound TLS negotiation error

I'm just creating Jabber and control VCS. When I try to connect to Jabber I get a message "Unable to connect to server."

In the event on the VCS log, I see the following:

    TVCS: Event = "Inbound TLS negotiation error" Service = "SIP" Src - ip = "192.168.111.124" Src-port = "49206" Dst - ip = "10.80.14.111" Dst - port - retail "5061" = "Timeout".

When I connect to the VCS Expressway everything works great so it doesn't seem to be a provisioning question.

    Any help would be great

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

so you are saying I can deduce that refine us this firewall problem. Now, I want to know something more.

If you have Cisco ASA then according to me, there is a map of class set making match of highway traffic in this branch on port 5061 that is TLS?

can you tell me if you have a few feature phone or else proxy on the firewall?

    Thank you

  • Reduce the range of ports for calls crossed - Freeway

    Hi all

We currently have MRA deployment but we have a problem with the "Crossing Media port" range set up in the subzone of the crossing. By default, this interval spend 36000 to 59999, but the FW team must reduce this ports open to 36000-36511. Is this supported?

After change of the range we did call Jabber tests in Internet and the call is established, but we have no audio in both directions, after taking a trace with tcpdump in traffic RTP EXP-C/E see the 480XX range.

Any idea to reduce this range without impact in the service?

    Thank you!

If you go to maintenance > tools > using the Port, you are able to watch all the different ports inbound/outbound highway has set up, if you are able to edit and change of range, there will be a display/change option that will take you directly to the page of configuring these ports.  Don't forget if you are editing a port range, either on the Express-C or - E track, don't forget to check if the other should also be changed.

  • Video Jabber for TelePresence, VCS-E connection problem

    Hello

I recently configured control VCS, VCS Expressway and TMS. Two VCS servers are software X7.2 and TMS is on 14.1.1 commissioning is configured between the VCS control and TMS, everything works OK internally and users can log in their Jabber client of telepresence video.

When you try to connect via the highway-VCS I get the following question: "connection refused by the server. Try to connect again later"

Area authentication is configured like this:

    VCS-Highway

Sub-area by default: do not check the credentials

Area Sefault: Do not check the credentials

Crossing area: Do not check the credentials

    VCS-control

    Default subfield: treat as authenticated

    Area by default: credentials check

    Subarea: Credentials Check {area which movi users register to regex function}

Crossing area: Do not check the credentials

Search the rules between the two VCS game [email protected] / * / OK.

The only port of the restrictions in place here are between the VCS control and VCS Expressway, outgoing ports open to the highway of the SANCTION.

It seems to me that there is a connection problem, as opposed to an authentication problem. also, do I need to configure a SIP domain local VCS-Highway even if I try to proxy, registration to the VCS control.

Would be appreciated if someone can verify my authentication area also...

    Thank you

    Simon,

to do this, you re normally the area on VCS - C as "check credentials.

If you want to proxy of VCS VCS-C-E records, you should not add the SIP domain name to the VCS-E.

"Rejected by the login server" sounds weird in this case, however, could you share what you use for this deployment, the SIP domain name so that we can verify that your DNS SRV records are fine?

  • Calls to update when a Jabber connects

    Hello!

We have a customer who is having a problem where they do not receive the upgrade prompt when they connect with their client Jabber/Movi.  When I register with my Movi of their infrastructure, I get the prompt.  What type of communication that happens when the prompt is sent?  I made a capture of packets using Wireshark, but I couldn't upgrade communitcation in the package SIP/XML solitaire that my computer has received the VCS.  The upgrade prompt is sent in an SSLv3 or a TCP packet?  There are reports of firewall blocking the message to upgrade?  Is there a special port that is to be opened?

It is a weird problem for us, because there is very little explanation on the notification of upgrade.

    Thank you!

    Bob,

You should look for a SIP NOTIFIER message, sent by the VCS provisioning to the Jabber client video. This NOTIFICATION contains all the configuration put into service for the user, including the software update information.

In the network capture, you should see the video of Jabber (or Movi) send a SIP request to SUBSCRIBE, followed by the provisioning VCS sends a NOTIFICATION to the client, assuming that the user name and password provided in the SUBSCRIPTION is valid.

    Hope this helps,

    Andreas

  • CUCM (Cisco Jabber) - VCS - MCU (failed appeal of SIP - SIP)

    Hi all

in our Videoinfrastructure, there is a little problem with cisco jabber client registry on the CUCM to our MCU.

The MCU is inscribed on the VCS.

If I make a call my Client of Jabber Cisco SIP call has failed. I call the number 4925488XXX. The callingparty is the 25203232.

In the CUCM, there is a Routepattern who translated the «Called Party Number» number = 8099 (this is the SIP Trunk for VCS).

    Called Party Transformations:

    Called mask = 8XXX

Take the numbers Instruction = None

    Prefix =

    Called number = 8099

In venture capital, there is a transformation for the 8099 dialed.

The MCU is registerd with [email protected] / * / on the VCS - it's self attandant.

In the Cisco Jabber client I never receive video or audio of the MCU AA - it looks like the call's not connect.

If I spent a glance in the VCS, I see the appeal as active and connected.

Also, I traced the call made by the VCS in debug mode.

Do you have any hint for me where I can troubleshoot further? It's a question MCU or CUCM or VCS?

    Good bye

    Stefan

Hi Stefan.  I would probably run a Trace SDI on the CUCM as well.  Seems the cancel is coming from CUCM side and end the call.  To check that your possibly fall on: CSCty07061, I could run the trace of the SDI and see after reception of 180 ringing of venture capital if he tries to do a DNS query for @mcu.

    The entries may look like:

    | 1.3508793, 63, 100, 2 ^ 10.52.36.15 ^ *.

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: received specified SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp is - 1. 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / copyRecordRspToRecordReq: query retry SRV as a 1 request | 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: hostname (DNS A or AAAA query called a query SRV Fail) = mcu

    --------------

If that's what your race, false address to solve the @mcu would be required for the call to go forward.  I have this based off the coast an explanation here, but cannot actually ensure that it's what your run in.  But check the trace of the SDI AFTER the 180 ringing and see.

    I hope this helps.

  • VCS and ports AD

    Hi all

I try to use the AD authentication for user movi.

My VCS control is in DMZ and the ad server is on LAN.

the question is: which ports are used by VCS to connect with AD?

I've read the: "Authentication devices Deployment Guide Cisco VCS X7.0" but there are not any mention on the tcp/upd port used for this

    my devices are:

    VSC c + e: 7.0.2

    TMS: 13.1

    MOVI Jabber: 4.3

    Thank you in advace,

  • Jabber the dial in the conference on MSDS

    Hi all.

    My system has:

    • TMS
    • Conductor
    • Telepresense Server
    • CUCM

My TMS can schedule a conference and then dial a jabber client, but jabber client cannot dial in the room.

On MSDS, I configured the Room ID: 898 X.

On CUCM, I configured SIP trunk on driver ground and route 898 X driver.

Are - that no one knows why?

What TMS version are you running?

In TMS 14.6, they introduced an option with conductor: 'limit Ports to the number of expected Participants.  It is under the extended parameters of the driver in the TMS, make sure is disabled, or as mentioned by Michel, add a dial by attending the Conference planning.

  • Highway X8.2.2, Changing default SIP Port for B2B calls is not possible

    Much of community support.

    I 10.5.1 (SU1) of CUCM and X8.2.2 Expressway.

I have configured without VPN Jabber and B2B based on the Document calls "CVD-CollabEdgeUsingBE6000 - Apr14.pdf.

everything worked fine for months, but after the upgrade of the X8.2.2 Express way B2B calls are no more work.

After troubleshooting, I found the following:

the DSF Guide tells me to change the default Port to 5061 to 5560 B2B calls because 5061 is also used for the integration of Jabber.

When I look at my record of wirekshark I see cucm tries to connect to the port 5560 expressway, but after sending a SYN packet, cucm receives a RST packet.

When I change back to the port of 5560 to 5061, everything works well again for B2B, but of course encrypted calls Jabber connection is not possible more.

for me, it looks like a bug, but I found nothing on the 'Bug search' tool.

I also tried to disable all Protection rules and I also have a firewall rule for Port 5560. I also tried to change the TCP Port to something different, 3999 for example. All this without success.

Just a little look in the guide.

Two caveats. First thing the guide explains unencrypted SIP - TCP connections, if you want to be aware that both sides use TCP or TLS. If you are using TLS certificates must be good as well.

5560 isn't a port on the highway, this is the port for the trunk on CUCM.

What do you see CUCM sending to Highway: 5560 Setup is not ok.

The port of the highway will not be changed.

If you look at page 30, he 5560 port is used for the "incoming Port *" and the bottom of page 31

You can see that it uses the Expressway IP with port 5060.

On the highway, you configure the area to port 5560 (page 34)

And of course the firewall should also be ok.
