  Hello all - I use my desktop Hp 6600 (connected via usb) jet and my computer (dell E6430 latitude) says that it is a usb device not recognized.  I tried a lot of troubleshooting, including the removal of usb controllers and reinstall, but which doesn't seem to work.  I'd like to help as soon as POSSIBLE.   If I understand correctly your computer does not detect the printer. You can try the following steps and check the results.

  (b) in the Open box, type services.msc, and then click OK. The Services window opens.

  It baffles me that THOUSANDS of people have this problem, or a variant of it, and no ONE at Microsoft or elsewhere also offers a real solution.   I was using my bluetooth mouse when I plugged my mobile phone (via USB cable) in charge. I have done this before w/o a problem (perhaps in another USB Port, now that I think about it) but I did this time and I instantly lost the ability to use my bluetooth mouse and the "USB device not recognized" bubble popped up. Now, this window pops up almost every 10 seconds even with disconnected USB mobile phone.

  I went to bluetooth devices trying to pair my mouse w / new laptop and I can not. It's not show my mouse and when I go to Bluetooth settings and try checking the box (and pressing OK) under the discovery that reads "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" it gives me an error saying that this is impossible.

  This seems to indicate that the charger has actually been detected as a device, but Windows can not work it out.

  Normally such a device should only connect to 5v and 0v pins and have no connection with the pins of data, in this way, that it will not be seen by Windows. I would be concerned by the quality of the device if it has some form of data connection.
