possible scam of phone microsoft
Hello - I got daily phone calls from "No. Caller ID" people claiming to work for Microsoft with regard to hacking my account. All of the appellants had an Indian accent and some have hung up when I asked for a number to call back on until today.
An Indian lady gave me his details and asked me to call her back on:
Microsoft, Thames Valley Park, Reading
1721 employee ID
Amanda Parker
0118-328-2346
still sounds dubious and I not call her back, as the "Amanda Parker" does not sound of Indian decent?
is the normal procedure of Microsoft to call me by phone without previous introduction of myself?
I recently lost a laptop computer so am curious, could be something to do with it?
Help, please?
Thank you
Paul.
There is information in my previous answer on how to report it.

I hope someone can give me advice.
Today, I received an email from my insurance company that the holder of the privilege or the leasing company made changes to my policy. I am owner of the car. I called the insurance company and I was told that a holder of privilege was added yesterday. The holder of privilege has been removed.
Two weeks ago, that a payment to my credit card were made with an account that I closed years ago. I do not that is. The information I have on my computer are only for my bank account, not the one that was closed years ago.
Where should I go from here? Any advice?

It's a scam. Just tell them you don't need their help and not to call again. Microsoft does not make unsolicited calls, offering support.

Problems with FixCleaner, possible scam
Original title: FixcleanerMy system is slow these days, so I'm looking for how to speed up my slow pc in bing search engine and there is an ad that said I can have a faster pc in 3 simple steps, and I open it and I download it.on this site they say that the program is completely free, so I think it's better for me, an old man.so I want to scan my pc and I know that my pc has so many errors, and I think that I should clean up. so I click on repair this button. and then he says I need to register, so I click on it and it asks me to pay to fix the mistakes then I paid and received a key. I use the key to register the software and remove the errors found, and he asks me to restart my system, I did, after I have can not get into my system, I wanted to say to the system restarts itself all the time, and then I contacted my younger brother, is a computer technician, and he told me that fixcleaner is a malware and he also told me how to restore my system I tried what he told me, nothing works. I have to pay $150 to send my computer in a repair shop for a restoration of the system pc. This time, I can get into the system, but all my photos and my videos have been removed.so I contacted fixcleaner for a refund of $150 and $34.95 and $1,000 for my pictures and my videos online and it seems that it is an engine of the auto-robot, so I have to use email to contact 5 days ago on their site that it calls for 2 days, but I have no answer, it seems that they refuse to reimburse my loss.
Everything here could tell me how to recover my money? Thank you.Hello

You "might" be able to backup your data, but it could have been removed.
You can save the data and reinstall Windows 7. The hard drive can be put in another computer
as 2nd car (best) or in an external case USB port. Either allows you to copy the data to removable
readers of media such as CD, DVD or another USB. There are also professional recovery however companies
they are expensive.Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

I received several phone calls from a person stating that he must call from a few MS Center during the last 2 months, telling me that my computer sends error messages to their Center MS when I'm on the Internet. The person calling has a very strong focus (possilbly, India) and I can't understand it nor he seems to understand my questions or inquireies on the problem. In our dialogue he keeps insisting that I need to connect my computer to it show me the problem. Given that I can't understand it or understand the problem that I refused his request.
Is this a possible scam or MS contacts users directly to resolve problems related to the Internet with their MS Centers?
Over the past 20 years I never heard talk about MS users directly in this way to make meetings. I suspect that my phone number may have been misused while visiting a Web site.
Please note that as of today (21 August 12), I rebuilt my hard drive from the original media on the possibliity that my system can be infected with some type of virus or malware.
Any feed back would be appreciated on the legitimacy on this type of phone call in case I get another phone of this type.

I received calls of (888) 272-2357 and (866) 795-5597 (the latter figure is real support Dell) almost every day. I answered the first time and they led him off because I was at work. Later, I did a quick search on Google and found out that it was a possible scam. Is this always true? I saw the post it in the forum, but the link provided is broken. Could someone please clarify? I'm also suspicious because I have complete scans every night with Malwarebytes and nothing shows ever...
Any "cold-calling" that you receive from DeLL, Microsoft, your ISP, or any other party, claiming that they were tuned to your use of the computer and discovered a virus/malware, is a SCAM. Hang up on them and forget about it.

When I type regedit in Run
Press Yes to try to get in my registry editor
After about 10 seconds, an error window appears and tells me:
The application failed to start properly (0xx0000005). Click OK to close the application.Even though I have a moderate understanding of Windows 7
I am not very sophisticated when it comes to registry - based
So I usually try to not to use. However, I solved registry Dodge in the past, but he's playing VERY SAFE.
So, naturally, I want to have access to it. Right now I can't, because of this problem of 0xx0000005.
.
I did the range of Solutions of Microsoft Fixit (in all categories: Windows 7, Internet Explorer, and general Computer)
None of these permits. When I solutions Microsoft google search 0xx0000005 allowed are not available. Just pay for companies that I don't want to get involved with because it always seems that human beings humans are purely greedy and not kind enough to simply advise me how to solve the problem instead of giving them my credit card for a free trial of possible scam. I don't want a free trial anyway, just some friendly advice how to solve this problem. I've helped countless beginners without trying to pick their pockets. Is there kind well educated gentlemen (or good company women) out there who can share their knowledge with me, since I live on the day the day on what I earn and have spent countless hours trying to learn how to fix this annoyance? My email is * address email is removed from the privacy * if it is safe to share. But if you can help me I would be so very grateful.
Thank you in advance. (micaofboca)I would try regedit.exe then in Safe Mode.
