Possible to let Illustrator determine colors, and THEN choose the CMYK profile?
Hello
I'm new to Illustrator and asked for the help of printing options!
I have CS2.
Then, I set the color management in Bridge and my works in Europe ISO Coated FOGRA39 or profile 27 tag.
When I print them in Photoshop, everything works as expected, so that in the printer dialog, you can choose "let Photoshop determine colors" and choose the match Europe ISO coated profile from the list. Fine.
But then I take this same tagged CMYK .psd file into Illustrator and try to print it.
I can only choose "Let illustrator determine colors" because I don't have a postscript printer.
Here is where the problem begins:
Now should I choose a profile that illustrator uses to print, but there is no available CMYK profile. Only RGBs.
Why is this? Is it not possible to choose any CMYK profiles?
Or do I have to do anything other than the marking CMYK image?
I also tried without ICC profile labeled, but here also only RGB profiles are available
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I can't find any decent answers in internet,
so please help me!
Thank you guys!
You can select the printer that will give you profiles CMYK postscript from adobe.
Print the postscript and distillit it.
zOOpen in Acrobat and print from your printer now, you have a postscript printer.

Go to the Start menu button, right-click on it, select Properties, click the task bar .
Click the drop-down list buttons Taskbar & select never combine.
That's all. You should now see an entry of the separate taskbar for each open file on your PC.

Possible to suspend a virtual machine, and then disconnect the SAN?
I decided to do an interview on a small environment ESX 3.5 and I was wondering if its possible to suspend a VM and then disconnnect the SAN to maintain SAN. If I record data suspends storage local would this work? Is it more fast and stop the virtual machine and the power save? There is the performance of 6 virtual machines on a single host with a single iSCSI SAN.
was wondering if its possible to suspend a VM and then disconnnect the SAN to maintain SAN.
A suspension is identical to a power off, it shows just the guest to Hibernate. So yes, it is safe.
Is it more fast and stop the virtual machine and the power save? There is the performance of 6 virtual machines on a single host with a single iSCSI SAN.
No its not faster, its more fast and more reliable to power off the virtual machine rather than suspend. If you need to follow the process and suspend its critical use, otherwise a scheduled interruption is better.

Mac OS x 10.5: "Let InDesign determine colors" is my only option.
ID 6.0.3
I try to print my Epson R2400 inkjet: I am come ugly colors and wasting a huge amount of ink activating / deactivating all the different options to try to get a decent impression.
"Color management" has a drop-down 'Color management' control, but he is stuck on "Let InDesign determine colors". I don't know that I'd get better colors with this printer if SHE could manage. How can I fix?
In my view, 'Document RGB' selection by the profile of the printer is the normal method of use of the printer color management. But if you've already tried, maybe CM print driver is disabled, or broken.
Another solution can be PDF export and printing from Acrobat.

I created a prototype - where I need to create a static Page AMX element. I have a bean that will have a method of UPDATING: the user interaction with the element AMX fires this UPDATE method, and the method will determine the value of another node AMX. The example is as follows

When the user selects 'O1' - 'SolverLogic.Update1' bean - will calculate 'Ø21' must be selected. Is there a way to access the node AMX 'amx:selectOneChoice label is '2' ' - using the ID - id = "soc753865" sound, and then set the value as "value = 'Ø21' '"
My requirement is that I don't need a DataController object, I have a binary file that contains the business logic, what I need is to create a static page and then use business logic to determine the result of user interaction and then update the user interface accordingly.

I've been using Illustrator but I opened the files would go to the bottom of the page as so dirty. I check my drivers and then uninstalled the program who intend to reinstall, but now it is said that the files are already installed.
No one can tell you anything without the proper system or other technical details info. If you have installation problems, start by running the cleanup tool:

I have a request that I wrote and have been use and distribute for awhile. The installer I created for this application is an additional installer to install a driver for the USB connection. The USB connection is actually a virtual COM Port. The problem is that the people who drafted modified driver setup the installation program itself. They used to have an installer that would check for 32-bit or 64-bit OS and then install the appropriate driver.
Now, they have two distinct installation programs: one for the other for 32-bit and 64-bit. They let the user know their OS and install the appropriate driver. I'd rather not have to rely on my users to do. From what I've seen the creater Installer provides that an executable to be run after the application installs.
Is it possible to have the installer of the application, check the type of OS and then run the correct executable file after installing my application? I think that I could write an Installer 'wrapper' that checks the type of operating system then executes the correct Installer. But I expect a better solution.
Thank you
JoeSo, I make it work!
The trick is to find a way to determine what type of OS you are using. The method I used was, indeed, read the environment variable. A buddy of mine sent me this link:
http://StackOverflow.com/questions/2401756/how-to-find-if-the-machine-is-32bit-or-64bit One of the phrases he bibliography the Processor_Architecture environment variable.
It seemed like a reasonable idea. So I started to research how read LV it environment variables turns out, you do it by reading a registry key. There is an example of LV on how to read a registry key. But I did not know where they are in the registry. So, I searched the Processor_Architecture registry. I found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment.
According to the article in the link, this value will already be x 86 for a 32 bit OS, or something with 64 inside. I just check the response for x 86 string. If it is, I just run the x 86 version of the driver Installer. Otherwise, I run the x 64 version.
It turned out to be as simple as that.
I hope this helps someone.

Hi Donnas,.
Content-aware fill is your best friend in this case.
Just make a selection around the word and go to edit-> Fill-> Content-Aware.
This usually done a very good job.
Then you can either return to it several times (maybe in smaller sections) with Content-Aware fill to clean it, or you can play with the Spot Healing Brush tool (J) or the tool clone stamp (s).

Call the function in LabView from a DLL, and then access the global variable of DLL
I've created a DLL in LabWindows with a function and structure. I want to call the function from LabView and then access the overall structure. I am able to call the function in the DLL with a "call library function node" and has access to the return value, but I can't understand how to access the overall structure. The structure is declared in the header DLL with __declspec (dllimport) struct parameters file.
Is it possible to access this structure without using the library of network variables?
My guess is that you need two bytes of padding after "in_out" and another to two bytes of padding after "anin." The reason being that ints are 4 bytes, and most of them C compilers will align on 4-byte boundaries. The struct will naturally start to such a limit (in fact, in Windows, it will probably start to an 8 byte boundary). If you then count bytes in your structure, you are 70 byte after "in_out." 70 is not divisible by 4, so you need 2 bytes more to reach the next 4 byte boundary. You can also you could reorganize your struct so that "anin" follows "in_out" and this is probably the best option if it won't cause you other problems.
Unlike most C compilers, LabVIEW compressed structures as closely as possible, without filling. I don't know enough about the history of LabVIEW and internal parts to explain the reasons and to do this performance penalty, but, as choice of LabVIEW "endianness", it is probably a remnant of the first versions of LabVIEW that were running on the Mac.
If for some reason you want to force your C struct to match package LabVIEW, you can use the #pragma pack (x) directive, but I wouldn't recommend that here because you can control the C and LabVIEW.
EDIT: in the cases where it was not clear, add padding to your cluster of LabVIEW, insert appropriate size or items at the place desired in the cluster.

I installed a game for windows XP and then used the troubleshooting tool to convert so that I can play at 7.
It still fails. What should I do? Please answerHello
a. what game do you have installed?
b. do you get errors trying to run the game in compatibility mode?Look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.
Measures to check the application event log:
1. click on start.
2. in the search box type eventvwr.msc, and then on enter.
3. now, click Application in the event viewer (local).
4. now locate the event log on the right side of the event viewer window.http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-ViewerYou can try to perform the clean boot on your computer and check if that helps.
From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
To perform a clean boot on a computer, follow these steps.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved. Please follow the system in the boot environment. If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to an application or a service, we have disabled. You can use the MSCONFIG tool again to reactivate the disabled one by one element to find the culprit.
If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
For more information visit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.
To restore your computer to a Normal startup mode, follow these steps:
1. click on start in the box start the search.
2. type msconfig and press ENTER.If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
3. on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services and then click OK.

OK, so I just finished put a video together. It consists of a Hypercam 2 record (which means it's a .avi file), a PNG image, text and a song (which is a WMA file).

I save the file, and then click Publish Movie. Everything goes well until the last step where the video is actually published. The window made a break for a while before you receive the following message;

Start threading with another processID, and then close the application
Hello
It is a delicate issue, so maybe something for all wizards among us
OS 4.6.0 9000 "BOLD", put to the test through Wifi and 3 G networks
As far as my knowledge about operating systems goes, it is not possible to start a process of your own application, close the application and then update the application. This is because the process began has the processID of the app as a parentID. So long as the process is running the application is running and access its files of cod.
I'm trying to get an update mechanism in my application. At the moment I am citing a new private and out of my application (via the call onClose() on all the screens on the stack or the System.exit (0)) after the start of the thread of displayPage() browsersessions. I know, that probably would never work, but it is the simplest approach and worth a try. With the two variants to close the parent application ota download starts but hangs at about 10%. I guess that's because then a cod of the application file is tried to be crushed. The following threads and knowledge previously mentioned on OSs, it would be the point where the application must be fully completed.
Now, even after all ways to close an app I know... even if I try to reinstall on OTA via the external browser, download hangs at 10% (App closed before!). Seems I have the same problem as this guy, but calling onClose on all screens does not solve him.
Screw on the problems to kill a bb - app
After the crash, the machine stops and restarts. Unless I start the app again once I'm able to reinstall via OTA Download in the external browser. This brings me to some open handles that could be left by my application close. Is it possible to really put an end to the application without the remains? In the following article, I read that there is some app cleaner memory running in the background. A cleaning of my application data can be requested manually when closing?
Thread mentioning the cleaner memory application
Another approach, that I thought would write a separat Updater app. It would be installed via OTA on the original app (does not affect the files of applications). Then the application closes, the update must be run manually by the user. It will offer an opening to private download ota of the new app problem is still that the download would crash unless the former PPP has been terminated correctly before.
Any ideas on this subject?
Rob has soon
Thanks Jerome,.
He will give a try.
Regarding the problem of update: call the external browser works fine, the only thing to be wary of is not to close the app but just ask the application to get to bottom:
synchronized(UiApplication.getEventLock()) { synchronized (PersistentStore.getSynchObject()) { UiApplication.getUiApplication().requestBackground(); } }
from the download ota after that works almost perfectly (browser cache needs to be cleared before, cod size is 650 kb).
Regarding the intelligent programming, I found this:
