  • Very loose hinges and possible virus on the Macbook pro

    Hi all

IV ' e noticed my macbook pro screen hinges become very loose and the screen comes back without any force. How much does it cost to repair? Also, how a cleaning of the computer at a cost of virus? I did not buy my computer from an apple reseller but my local Best Buy.

    Thanks again!

"How much does it cost to fix?

First of all, check your warranty coverage > https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

  • Possible virus from safari?

    Hi all

I've recently updated to 9.3.2 and I noticed that on every Web site of ads and also videos of youtube embeeded change bad ads (first load the original site it changed virus pledging), this problem is not a specific Web site and occur on all sites without exception, I tried to restore , erase all data of the safari website, none of them solved the problem. Phone is not jailbroked, not hacked, I only downloaded on Apple Store. I recently discovered that the e-mail account that are on my phone get spam that I never had before (only since I've updated) I have attached screenshots.

1 shooting of a Web site, I opened with a youtube link

2nd shot 2 seconds later the ads and youtube link changes to these ads of virus.

(This is a famous Hungarian gamer site, I do not have the same problem on other platforms)

Can you please help as it really bothers me when browsing with safari.

    Thank you in advance.

Go to settings - Safari - clear the history and data from the Web site.

If that doesn't work, reset your device. This will not erase your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  • Mac works oddly, possible virus problem

Now, this might be a bit long, but I want to explain my situation: my Mac version is 10.6.8 and I have Windows Bootcamp that divides my 500 gbs equally between the two parties. I use only 20,99 gbs on the side of my Mac and I have only a few applications I've downloaded myself (Chrome, two games (OFF and Minecraft which has a few mods), the Unarchiver and Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Flash). However, I have more (I removed) Safari and Garage Band. The reason why I deleted the Safari is because it does not block the dangerous ads. It is an ad ' Web Cam S *' that I met on a fake Wikipedia who made fun of Youtubers (forget the name of it and never come back to it) which forced me close my Mac because it will turn off and an announcement on YouTube who wanted to use 5 mbs of my data (I stopped my Mac new cause he kept asking when I was denied several times). I can't remember anything for download, but I don't know how to work the virus. This return all happened in August 2015, but since December 2015, my Mac fan started running loudly when he wakes fashion 'sleep' with any of the applications that are running. My Mac also gets is more cool as it allows when it is in "standby". I don't know if it's advertising or there is something wrong with my Mac internally (son, dusty in bulk). Six years ago, but it still load the Web pages and applications as it allows before the ads. Thanks for this reading, I was not able to find an answer that has cured my problems. PS: I don't want to download apps 'useful '.

I understand how you feel when you say that you do not want to download useful applications.   I'm guessing that is probably based on the experience gained.   However, there is an application that we use here and is generally well regarded by members.   Please download and run and publish the results as a response here.

It will not immediately solve your problems, but it will allow us to evaluate your machine and recommend a plan of action.    The fact is, there are too many alternatives for us to guess what your problem, go inside your machine.   What will be shown will not include anything private or potentially dangerous; only technical facts.

  • Reassuring possible virus in my computer?

This pop-up message keeps coming back every few weeks and I have no idea where it came from and I have not downloaded previously. It just appeared from nowhere.

I always clicked the Red exit button and it goes. Then last week, I clicked on "Install now" just to see what will happen, and he opened this application. It looks just like any other Mac program cleaner typical. Apparently not in danger. I've never seen before so I right click the application, he showed application in the finder and deleted.

Fast forward to today, he came again! I even found the same application in my computer! I deleted this request last week! The surprising part is that it has been "created" and "modified" last week on December 3. Who could be the same day that I deleted the other Mac Adware Cleaner.

I don't know if it's some kind of virus because it has no bearing on my computer either.

One thing to know is that this popup happens when I'm on Safari.

I first noticed this popup about 2 months ago.

It is a hook or a scam. There is no way for a remote site know if you have malware or viruses on your computer as soon as you know the pop up is therefore not legitimate. Remove and any other 'cleaner' or antivirus program, you have installed. Not sure that it's installed on your computer. I would change all my passwords.

Force Quit Safari then all in now shift to start Safari again. Delete history and cookies in Safari.

  • Impossible to perform a system restore in normal mode or safe mode on my laptop... possible virus?

I have a Dell with Windows XP laptop out there.  I think that I contracted a virus that I was on a web page and then it went black and told me my computer was infected and that he did a search he finds a few Trojan horses, but it would not allow me to clean them.  antivirus 8 started running on my PC and now when I log in in safe mode to try to restore, I get an error that says kernel Mode Driver Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.  He asks if I want to send the error report to Microsoft, and I do, but then it still does not start, even in safe mode.  The screen remains black.  How to perform a restore of the system and if I will do, I lose my photos?

    Thank you.

Antivirus 8 is a rogue security program that claims to find files infected your computer and trying to make you pay for the program without value.

I recommend that you get expert help to remove it.  Using malicious software removal free of charge from Microsoft, go to theMicrosoft consumer Security Support Center .

  • Laptop starts up. Using Windows XP. Possible virus.

Is anyway to remove a virus from a laptop myself.  I have a Dell Latitude c510 using Windows XP.  Can not get it started. Just keep to this unknown hardward message prevented windows from start, then it counts down to 30 seconds to restart and the same thing/message happen again. D & lc = 1033 & urlnum = 0

    skee40,
It could be the hard drive, but it could also just be that the OS was corrupted too badly to start properly.  If you have a recovery disk or the XP disk, then you can perform a repair installation, see if that fixes the problem.  If it's a recovery OEM installation of repair disk may not be an option and you may need to do a factory restore (which will erase the drive).  You should consult the manufacturer of PC on the food options they provide. • Possible virus that poses as MS security check

My computer has gone in almost total collapse. I get a lot of messages telling me that the computer has been scanned and almost all the seriousness that could go wrong with a computer went wrong - everything about to crash etc. I am asked to pay Security Check US$ 74 and they will fix it. The given site is www.security-check.com. I checked online and it doesn't seem to be such an undertaking. They use the MS logo, but it has different colors. What can I do? The computer is almost useless. Unable to get anything to come when I click on the Start button. Any help would be appreciated.

    See you soon,.

Try to use the removal instructions in the following article. You will have to perhaps download the programs on another computer and copy them to a USB Flash drive, to get them to the infected computer.

As others have mentioned, you can be infected. You must perform a full scan, it can be useful to run a malware scan as well to be sure.

If you don't have an antivirus, you can watch in Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security_essentials/default.aspx

Note that some anti-virus programs will prevent or cause issues when you install an antivirus, in these cases, you can try searching for an online scan see if that can remove the virus before you install a full-time BC
