Power button on Satellite A300 turn computer automatically.

Hello.

I recently removed the carcass on my Toshiba Satellite A300 and when I put back it together I have a problem with the power being real button delicate in some cases, turn off the PC itself.

When I start the PC or put in mode "sleep" by pressing the power button sometimes all I have to do is touch the button and the PC turns or sleeping and strangely sometimes the button work normally by pressing it down until it snaps.

I couldn't find the problem, I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be and how could I solve this problem?

It seems you damaged or done something wrong during the disassembly procedure may be a connection problem?
I guess the power button has worked correctly until you have removed the case and disassembled the laptop. Right?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 (for about 3 years now) and tonight he turned off his car. It would be most time cause of overheating and would finally restarts, but not tonight. It simply displays an icon of the battery at the front about 6 times - then nothing. I tried already out the cord of the battery and the charger, press the switch & 30 seconds and it does not work.

It might be useful to mention that for a while now, when the charger is unplugged the laptop would turn directly to the output.

What I need to know is, it sounds like I need a new charger or a battery?

For me, this looks like faulty power electronics.

Can you use laptop on the power supply only when the battery is removed?

    Hello

It of hard to say what's going wrong here, but maybe it s just a small issue that could be solved easily.
    Try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter.
A few hours and reconnect the two parts.
I had this problem in the past and leave the laptop disconnected during the night.
The next day, I connected battery and adapter A\c and the laptop worked again

  • Satellite P300 - turns on automatically

    Hello

I have a Satellite P300 with Windows Visa Home Premium as the operating system. When I turn the computer off (through stop) it stops successfully. However, after some time (between 15 min - 2 hours) on the computer automatically without any intervention on my part.

Counsel on how the issue could be fixed?

    Hi siahrigi,

Have you plugged the external devices to your laptop as a printer, mouse, LAN cable or something else? If yes unplug all of them and the only cable that must be connected is AC/DC adapter. All other devices, you must delete and then test whether your laptop turns on again.

In addition, I would go into the BIOS and load the default settings. Also make sure the Wake up on LAN is disabled and save these new settings.

By the way: since when did you notice this problem?

  • I switched on the power button, laptop did not turn. Why?

I bought a new laptop 8 months ago and worked perfectly until this morning. As I switched on the power button which showed blue as usual but the screen was black and is not alive.  He just lights up not despite the power button light on.what went wrong?  Then I removed the battery and then turned it on and it started. Please, someone tell me what was wrong despite the fact that it works very well and how can I solve this problem.

It sounds like a hardware problem, you should consult your computer manufacturer on.  Maybe it's just a bad battery, but since it's only 8 months, it should still be under warranty.

    Good luck.

  • Lenovo Y40: Must only press the power button two times to turn on

    Hello

A few months ago, I bought my Lenovo Y40 on the Lenovo Web site and recently, to turn on, I have to press the power button twice. When I press that once, the Lenovo logo is displayed on the screen, but after 2 seconds it turns off. On the second attempt, finally the laptop turns on and the windows is started.

In addition, rarely the phone stucks on the lenovo logo screen, is necessary to contain the power to reset.

Someone had some problems like these describe above?

    Thank you.
    Pedro Lopes.

    Hello

I contacted Lenovo's Support and they recommended to perform a full recovery of the system. Apparently, it worked because I did not suffer these problems since I got windows. Probably, there was a problem with the partition that has been responsible for the initialization of the system.

    Thank you, Pedro h. Lopes.

  • The Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 has a power button or an auto-turn off function when you use it,

I am interested in buying one for use on a desktop PC, then the transmitter/receiver must be connected all the time...

Mouse Wireless a usually - ON / OFF switch or the automatic stop function.

And because this mouse is not to have ON / OFF switch, so it must have auto power-off function - and this function is independent of the question whether the radio is placed in the mouse, or even on your computer (plugged) attached.

And sometimes - if the mouse goes into power saving mode - you must first press the button of the mouse to wake up.

  • Satellite A300 turns on, LAN already disabled

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum. Please forgive me my rather poor English, but I'm not native English.

My friend has a laptop A300-14F, and in recent weeks, she has problems with the computer randomly turn off, he (complete stop, not mode "sleep" or something like that). He wakes up after different time periods, usually in a range from 1 to 15 minutes.

It seems to appear only when it is connected to the local network, so we've disabled features wake-on-lan, as well in the bios and windows (Vista with all the service packs), but it does not solve the problem. I've seen people having the same problem, but unlike here, often disabling helps wake-on-lan.

Someone has an idea what may be causing this problem? Or should we give just to fix it under warranty?

    Thanks in advance!

    Maciek.

    Yes, I have an idea.
The WOL option must be disabled in BIOS, but ALSO in the LAN card properties.

You can find this option in the Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab LAN card

Please check and disable any option that could be responsible for the laptop to wake up.

    Good bye

  • Fn + F10 satellite key turns on automatically

My Satellite Fn F10 key activates itself. It seems to be random. You can turn it off and the light goes out but keyboard does not refer to the normal key functions. The only resolution seems to be to restart.

I've stopped counting and thotkey in TFncKy.exe system configuration. The behavior has changed now. The light is still on, but I can turn it off and the keyboard work again.

Please can I get a fix for this. I have I looked for drivers, but it doesn't seem to be a category in the downloads for key board.

Can I keep TFncKy and disabled thotkey? This will cause other problems that I am not aware.

    Any help would be great.

    Thank you

    Hello Phil

Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?
Have you noticed this problem for the first day or later?

  • The mouse freezes at startup properly off. Mouse only thaws and works correctly when I hold the power button to stop and turn back.

I just got a new Inspiron 1545 computer 2 weeks ago and it works fine but I got a problem for the last two days where my mouse will freeze after that I stopped it using the stop option. When my computer starts you can move the mouse, but after a few seconds, it freezes, and you can't move the mouse but the keyboard works. I try to restart the computer with the option to reboot from the start menu and when it starts up to the top of the mouse freezes still. No matter how many times I try to stop or restart properly mouse unlock not. It only works if I stopped it by pressing the power and then switch on again. Any ideas as to what I could do to fix this?

The sad truth is that the mouse freeze problem is back. I searched the forum for other solutions, but so far without success.

I am currently using MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and just to make sure that the problem is with the mouse, I inverted this mouse on my other laptop which works also on Windows 7. Mouse freeze problem is replicated, which never happened before for my other laptop.
Conclusion, until Microsoft is able to solve this problem, I opted for Logitech. I bought a Logitech M235 wireless mouse last night and keep your fingers crossed that the mouse freeze problem will disappear.
Life is too short to be stressed more mouse freeze problem.
  • TOSHIBA Power Saver on Satellite A300 PSAGCE with Vista OS

I just bought my new satelitte, but now I see that the best tool of the old line of Satelite is missing!
ENERGY SAVING! I am running vista at the moment, but power saver is not what it seems!
I was wondering if it's true, or it just nog is there in my language!

If there isn't, I would suggest Toshiba, bring it back, but it is a most useful tool, mutch better then one that is standard on windows vista!
If anyone has a solution, I would be happy to hear from you of course!

PS I tried to install the version of windows XP witch that I downloaded from the Toshiba site, but it does not work on Vista of course!

    Hello

Energy saver is installed under Vista too, and you can find it under:
Start Options system & maintenance Power Control Panel > select a settings change plan Plan to modify the power Toshiba Power Saver advanced settings V.xxx settings

As you can see that the parameters are not like before as Windows XP Home edition. The fact is that most of the settings is now controlled by Vista and Toshiba power saver has no great influence in the settings of power as before.

  • Satellite L850 begins to automatically open the display panel

    Hello world!

I have a problem with the Toshiba System Settings program.
I have to start with a brief explanation:

I have the version Polish win 8.1, up to 8 victory day.
I can't find the option that might make my L850 Satellite to turn on automatically after that I raise its coverage.
    It's really annoying.

In the control panel (I guess that's how it is called in English versions of windows) in the power management section, there is no option.
There is only 'choose the result of closing the lid' and I got it "shut down the computer.
I have also the system quick start option is enabled.
In the BIOS 'Panel open - Power On' is DISABLED.

I remember that there are similliar option in the Toshiba system settings and before returning the system I have solved this problem in this way. But there is a problem with access to the Toshiba system setting.

When I try to run it, I get notification "Proba sprawdzenia has? a zako administrator? Czy? a TR? niepowodzeniem', which means "the test to check the administrator password ends with failure" and there is only the OK button.

Does anyone know how to fix the parameters of the Toshiba system? Reinstallation does not work.

Thanks for any idea and I'm sorry for my bad English. I also don't know if I have it written in the right place. Didn't know which forum to choose: Tools & Utilities Toshiba, as if it was a problem with the control panel or the forum associated with the model of my laptop.

I assume you mean the Panel open - Power On"feature
    https://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ1A037V0000R01.htm

You said that you have improved the Win8 system to Win 8.1.

Well, after such system upgraded its necessary to install the Toshiba tools and utilities Win 8.1 version too because the Win 8 isn't fully compatible with Win 8.1 system software.

I guess the Toshiba software was not updated and this is the reason why the Toshiba system settings program does not work correctly.

  • Downgrade from Vista to Windows XP on Satellite A300

Join Satellite A300 disc to downgrade to windows XP. However, information for it is almost impossible to follow because it implies that I am a computer Wizard.

I bak up to Vista as asked and then rebooted computer all holding the key F12. Put in the #1 lower upgrade disc and then it confuses me what to do. This machine is brand new and I have no files to backup, but want to use XP because I'm more familiar with this OS.

So can someone guide me through this... as I am in Australia and most of you people are probably asleep or just waking up, please put all the instructions I am about to go to sleep because it gives me a headache. If someone had told me that it was not a simple exercise, I would never had bought the laptop in the first place.

    Bye now

    Hi Bushbabe

Yes, this can be a bit difficult. Here are some easy instructions on how to use XP disks. :)

    1. Insert the xp disk into the disk drive.

2 hold down the power button on the computer for 10 seconds to turn it off completely.

3 turn on the computer and start typing on the F12 key. Keep pressing it until it gives you your Start menu. (Don't hold the power button, type only just turn on the machine.)

    4. Select CD/DVD using the arrows on your keyboard, and then press ENTER. Should say 'Loading RAM disk image' or something similar.

    5. Select Yes on the warning screen (make sure you computer is connected to the main power, no battery).

    6. Select following three times.

After that, it will say Partition initialization... This means that the recovery has begun. :)

    Hope this helps!
