I understand that if you remove your battery, you can't boot up your laptop.  This is not unusual. some laptops are set up in this way.

I understand that when you have the phone connected and charge the batteries of your performance is lowered.  There is more than one draw powere when it loads to the battery.

Here is a link to the laptops HP - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7) to ensure that there is no problem with the battery.

Could also remove the battery once you put under tension.

You asked questions on the use of a 90-Watt adapter.  Here is a link to HP G4 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide.  Chapter 3 page 32 lists not one that is recommended.

  • Improvement of the power supply for laptop

The danger is that if the power supply cable is knocked out, the circuit board is broken.

The connection of the laptop must be a cone. It could set magnetically or by using snaps.

The laptop having a female cone and cord fitted with a male when cone struck with sufficient force should simply detach without damaging the laptop.

Apple has already patented such a design and Microsoft use a variant of it for the shelf on the Surface.

  • adapter power supply for laptop DV6 1230us

Anyone know what the output current should be for a DV6 1230us laptop power adapter?

The original power supply has failed and has been eliminated - now, we tried two adapters purchased off ebay, and both overheated.  They were the two 60w and spec'd 3.5 released.  They were the two brands not HP.

The specifications are not available on the HP Web site, and it seems that the good spare HP P/N 693711-001.

We would like to undestand if power supply is incorrect and the origin of the problem, or if there is something wrong with the laptop (which continues to work very well...)

It should be at least 65 Watts (18.5V x 3. 5), but you can use a 90w like this template:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/original-OEM-genuine-HP-Compaq-laptop-power-cord-adapter-608428-001-609940-001-/181304904317

The models v and 19v 18.5 seem interchangeable, as long as it's the big gun with the centering on the inside PIN. An adapter low power will heat up.

  • Which LCD cable for laptop HP DV7 4020sa

Hi, I have a difficulty to determine which cable I need for my computer HP DV7 laptop 4020sa.

The serial number of the device is {content removed}, and the LCD cable has a tag with "replace with HP spare...". 605324-001 "and"7F1074"below.

I tried speaking with HP direct and received the wrong information about the part I need. They said that I needed part number 71CI0832001 with 480449-001 below.   I bought this article and concluded that, although the two are cable of the lcd screen, they have completely different connectors.

Either way, the cable must be replaced because he was stuck against the leg that is used to tighten the body! It has generated a huge amount of heat and melted the paw and burnt the cable!

If anyone has any information, I would be very grateful, and it can restore my very low opinion on defects of HP and very poor customer relations

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

I did some research and according to your maintenance manual, the part number is 605333-001, look on page 72.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02642701.PDF

Yours is an LED screen and there is no ups, so the cable will be thinner then the person using an inverter.

Here is a picture of e - bay for reference.

    http://CGI.eBay.Ph/WS/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300486312385

It is also strange that when I googled the part number which is on your old cable he refers to all of the LED screen.

If you look on page 68 of the manual it mentions that part number 605324-001 is a replacement of the screen.

The they gave you is for a backlit display for a CCFL lamp with and the inverter.

  • Power connector at right angle for laptop HP 2230 s?

Is it possible to get an adapter at right angles to the power connector DC for my laptop HP 2230 s?

The connector on the DC power cable that goes into the laptop out the path to the side (a good 2.5 "), which, besides being bulky, resembles an accident waiting to happen. On my old Fujitsu, the connector was barely right angle type, it came out at all, and was not a danger to catch on anything and damage the socket or the plug. This type of connector puts also much less strain on the DC input jack, as he does not act as a lever for bit.

I've seen at right angles to the adapters for different types of cable (you plug your cable on one end and the other goes in the computer), like this:

I hope you get the idea. In any case, what I would like is an adapter for the type of connector used on my HP laptop. The type of connector seems to be pretty standard in the range, so an adapter can be used with many models of HP. In the end, I hope that HP will change cables from their power supplies for laptop to come with these types of connectors at the ends, but in the meantime, is possible to get an appropriate, either through HP or a third party adapter?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer suggestions!

  • Lost the power supply for my airport extreme!

I lost my power cable for my airport extreme (House move!) where can I get a new one?  Online?  Thank you.

Is your AirPort Extreme in shape as a 'tour', or you have one of the old versions "flat or square"?

If you have the version "tower", a standard power cord "of eight" of any place of e-procurement would work very well. Radio Shack stores usually have in stock... but they probably won't have white.  Take the airport along to test fit in the store.

If you have the old version of flat or square, you will need to purchase food and the power cord as a unit. Better go online for this.

  • When I plug a hdmi cable my laptop turns off

Whenever I plug a HDMI cable for laptop may it instantly stops and cannot restart until the cable has been disconnected. I only bought the laptop 4 months that when checking to see if something was faulty output HDMI was working fine; now, it will not work. When looking on Device Manager I couldn't find a driver for the port (is he wants to be one) and I tried to update drivers, but still the same problem.

I have an acer aspire 5738z

Usually, there is no driver listed for the HDMI driver.  HDMI is an output video "high-end" and it is usually controlled by the video card.

Try another HDMI cable.   Try another TV.

If the HDMI port always stops the laptop, you may need to take to a service center.  This could be a------hardware problem.
