power max

Hello

No one knows what is the max power by:

1. a core of mac pro 8 (early 2008) when working at full capacity? That is to say all 4 disks + gf 8000 gt graphics card

2. Ditto for iMac 21.5 inch clocked at 1.6 Ghz dual core i5, intel graphics hd 6000

3 and 2.8 Ghz quad core intel i5, iris intel graphics pro 6200

I need to buy a UPS and need to have this info. Surprisingly enough support tech didn't have this info.

Thank you

A standard from the factory Mac Pro (or other model) would have a use power max figure that could be given, but as soon as the user make a change for example, adding a hard drive additional or larger, this figure will change.

It doesn't help much, but here's the official specs for your model of Mac Pro

Electrical and environmental requirements

  • ENERGY STAR configurations suffisantes6
  • Voltage: 100-120 v AC or 200-240 VAC (input voltage range)
  • Frequency: 50 Hz to 60 Hz single-phase
  • Current: Maximum of 12A (range low voltage) or 6a (range high voltage)

For what its worth that classic Mac Pro models have a 980 watt power meaning that is the absolute maximum, he can deliver if fully loaded.

If you want specific numbers depending on your configuration and use then the best option is to get a socket which allows to measure actual usage. Some examples of such devices.

    Hello

According to Corsair, the DIMMs that you chose is detected only at 1600 mhz, which is not in the specifications published by HP.

You can roll the dice on the DIMMs that you chose, but I wouldn't recommend that buy you them until you contact Corsair and get a confirmation.  Computers HP can be very finicky with DIMMs, especially if you try to mix them with other DIMM modules.  If you do buy these bars and want to be them mixed with the existing DIMMs, then make sure the timings of latency CASE corresponding information validated HP. Also mix DIMM sizes will cause the memory function in unbalanced mode that adversely affect the performance of the memory.

You should be able to make your own decision on whether to roll the dice.

  • Unable to get the max with Intel pro 3945ABG card Wlan download speed

    Grettings all,.

I have, as the shows theme, a model of router Philips SNB650 and Intel pro 3945ABG wireless card.
The card supports up to 54Mbps while the router can handel upp to 108mbps. The router is in the same room as my laptop and I recive full force and 45mbps connection. I also have an internet connection of 100/10 Mbps (100 downwards, up to 10). The problem is that I can never reach maxlimit when I download files.

One I download since has the same connection as me, and through him, I get 1.45mbps, which is normal with our two connections. However, when I download it and other sources, I never reach more than 1.45mbps a total, counting all together downloads. So when I download 1.45 my brother and someone else, something with connection equalent, the download speed of my brother will decrease, as well as the other connection.

I contacted Philips suport and asked if he could be a setting in the router which does the job in this way, but the answer I got was that I should turn on max-double-sided. I know where to find it, even if they described in their message. Network connections-> network-> properties-> advanced card and it make the change with the duplex mode. But the only option for windows, built in firewall.

I searched on the net for possible solutions, but found nothing. However, I found a few tips about the wireless network card. And that's to go to the device run-> ECS-> NIC in question and make a few changes, such as: Power management (max game, have you tried other variants), roaming Aggressivness (set to max, have you tried other variants) and transmitting power (max by default, tried other variations).

None of the above configurations makes no difference to my network speed. So, now I turn to you, to see if anyone has a solution. Is there a way to change the duplex mode for all wireless network cards?

Perhaps I should mention that I have the latest drivers for my network card, but he had the same problem with the 'old'.

    Thanks in advance,
    / Martin

    Hello

I would try to explain what I understand what you're saying.

Even with a 100/10 connection does not mean what download you to. There are a few Web sites on the internet that test true download you have. You might want to try one, because I never downloaded to my max download rate.

It entirely depends on many variables. The Web site you download from (they could cap their downloads to customers at 1 Mb if they chose) etc. Could be your ISP that has the problem etc.

I doubt the computer or settings are the problem. Call your service provider and ask them what the problem is.

  • XW6600 + GTX 760?

    Hello

    I have a question:

    Short version:

760 GTX graphics card will work with XW6600?

    Long version:

I have XW6600, 16 GB RAM, 1 x E5440, 2 x Velociraptor 300 GB, DVD, Asus EAH6850, STD 650W PSU - which works perfectly. I want to replace by a more powerful gfx card, my favorite (best bang for males) is GTX 760 from NVidia (so that the CPU can bottleneck of the machine, I intend to keep this card when I'll be possibly replace XW6600, maybe I could go SLI then).

650w is theoretically more than enough for such a card, but since we have only a 6pin to the power, we need another 6-pin (or 8-pin) from somewhere, probably with Molex adapter. Now Let's read XW6600 REPAIR:

    + 12 v - D - line used by PCIe 6pin to the and storage - maximum continuos current 12.5 A (page 8), which gives to 150W. Suppose that a margin of 25W for 2 x HDD + DVD, he left port PCIe 125W + 75W, amounts to 200W.

Theoretically, GTX760 a TDP of 170W, but all the factory manufacturer overclock their cards, + 15% more power is typical, sometimes even more. If a card can draw 195W or more - close enough to the limit. Is it safe?

Alternative: as I have only a single CPU, and I won't have to have another, perhaps I can mod the PSU? I want to tell Exchange line + 12VCPU1 (17.5 A) with + 12 v V - D: this would provide (non-existent) CPU1 with a power Max. 12.5 A (instead of A 17.5) and the PCIe and storage with a maximum of 17.5 A (instead of 12.5 A), which should give me a lot of reserve.

Do you think that it is safe (it obviously requires a weld, I'm pretty confident I can do it right)?

    Short version:

    Yes...

    Long version:

A PCIe video card will draw a maximum of 75W PCIe slot and the rest by auxiliary power of graphics card connectors. Normally a connector 2 x 3 will provide another 75W and a connector 2 x 4 will provide another 150W. Thus, if a graphics card requires 300W, that is provided by the slot PCIe connector 2 75W 75W x 3 and 150W to connector 2 x 4... I think that 300 w is the maximum power available for graphics according to PCIe slides/specs I've seen...

Now if your graphics card manufacturer indicates the card will draw a max of 170W, then you need 75W of the PCIe slot and the remaining 95W of connector power supply a 2 x 4 or auxiliary power of TWO 2 connectors x 3...

Note that a 6 pin auxiliary power connector (2 x 3) is not supposed to provide 150W safely, only 75W max safely can be provided only by one such connector...

If your + 12V - D line can provide safe of 150W, 25W is currently used by your HARD and the ODD drive, then you should be able to wire in auxiliary power of TWO 2 x 3 connectors in this line. Of course, please make sure that you don't go adding more devices to this line since you can then override this line of power supply...

Now, if your power supply provides a 650W and the graphics card needs of 170W, then you must make sure the rest of your system in the remaining 480W power budget. In other words, the CPU (80W each), memory, hard disks (2x6W each), raid cards (25W), mobo (?) (W), ODD (6W?) and all other equipment connected to the mobo (including usb devices powered by the mobo) must not consume more than 480W... or you weird questions that occur...

So as long as you stay in the + 12 V - D power power limit in the limit of total power from the PSU, everything should be OK.

In your case, 480W seems like it enough power to the connected equipment, so add a GTX760 should be OK on a budget of power...

But I don't know if xw6600 supported by GTX760 so do not be surprised if questions pop up... As a clue, if the system does not start, suspect a smbus between motherboard questions and... possible map using nail polish on the pins of smbus graphics card may solve the problem or BIOS legacy support adjustment can solve the problem on later UEFI systems...

Oh and "caveat emptor", you should proceed with these mods... in other words, don't blame me not if FRY you your system...

    Good luck..

    * Now, it works with the brightness to level 1 *... very dark. Before, ECO mode allowed me to go up to level 4 and was always considered in Eco mode...

If I increase the brightness, the 'eco mode is disabled' message opens immediately.

_The * 4 means only on models with Windows7 installed _

I guess that the previous configuration was only Win 7.

8 win was made for mobile (use of the Tablet), the energy consumption of battery is also very important plant help to win 8. The consumption of the battery must be taken at the lowest level possible.
So I guess that now help win 8 ECO medium mode and save the power max and long battery life time working at a max level.

How does the satellite A660-141 has a battery 6 cells as many other toshiba models, but has a maximum of 4h15min! How is it?

More than 4 hours on Satellite A660. It's great!
I have more Satellite A300 and I can work on battery power max 2.5 hours. It's good enough for this laptop, but a little more time will be better of course.

What is your experience with Satellite A660? To be honest, I think about exchanging my machine with this new model.

  • HP Pavilion HPE 1090 t: could someone help me please... Desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1090 t CTO - PSU replacement/compatibiliy

I just bought a new power supply (Corsair CS650M) because someone has suggested that it would be a good replacement power supply for my HP model which is HP Pavilion HPE 1090 t.   I need to know if this Corsair works and is compatible with my system, because something is not working with him directly or I did something wrong.    This is my first install and when it comes to the ins and outs of power amplification entry & exit and amperages I get so confused about this stuff.   But I think I took all the pluged connection correctly, at least when I re-plugin my old PSU after the installation to fail, I had the PC working again, what made me give confidence that I did the Corsair install correctly.  But what happens is after the installation of the unit from Corsair and turn the system he clicked power off after about 10 seconds or more and then restarted after a few seconds, then stopped again and turns off after another 10 to 15 seconds, and nothing would come up on top of the screen no more.   The first time I did the research what PSU would be compatible, I was getting conflicting results with a few places on the net saying that the majority of the HP out there (excluding some models such as the slimline) could be replaced by different manufacturers and higher power PSU, while other places I looked different.   Even the person who recommended me this power supply said in his post that he installed a Corsair HX650 model in its HP PC, and it worked very well for him.  Now, after the failure of the installation for the next few days, I did a lot more research and when I went on the site of HP and looked up the specifications of the model my PC I noticed under the power supply section, he had a heading that says "must select one of the following options" (in fact most of the different sections shows that the title too) and then he showed only two options 460W and 600W.  Then he asked me if it's the only option I get with my model.  And then I looked at my model number HP on the HP PartSurfer and under the section of the PSU, it also registers only 460W and 600W.   So who is?   I have to stay with only these options two HP or can I get a power supply with a higher power a bit then 600W from a different manufacturer that is what I want.    If I can get something that is compatible other than the options listed HP please let me know, or if this Corsair should work someone please let me know.   I need to return it otherwise.    My specs are below.

Although there is a limit to the amount of power that is needed to power your computer, it uses only the amount of power it takes to power the computer correctly.  The extra power is kept in reserve for the purposes of art.  Thus, you cannot really bad the computer with extra power or amperage.  You can sleep on this point.

    Indianaak wrote:

Thank you very much for your quick response, I wasn't getting anyone to answer the previous post.

If your saying these HP spare parts are not exclusive to the company?  Some connectors may be owners, but most are not.

It should work then?  Yes.  I've recommended hundreds of the PSU in the years I've been helping on the Forums; in fact since about 2002.

How about the input/output & amperages of note that I registered?  As I understand not all this jargon, I want to assure you that I have / using correct notation for my system.  I don't want to fry one of my compondents with to much amperage.   Well, either I did something wrong installing or this power supply is a dud then.  Read my explanation at the top of the page.

As I said before I pretty sure I had all the right connections, what can you tell me if it sounds right for you.  I have pluged in both connectors wired on the motherboard which were the main ATX 24pin power connector and the EPS/ATX12V 8 pin which I shared and pluged a piece of the cable labeled 'CPU' in slot 4 pins on the montherboard labeled ATX CPU.  Regarding the other split 4 pads, I don't see anywhere, it could be pluged into the motherboard.  If two 4-pin connectors were even marked, it should be good.  However, you can try to plug the other 4 pin instead of this, just to make sure that the right pair is connected to the processor power.

My AMD Radeon HD 6570 1 GB graphics card is the type that is fed through the MB so I didn't use any of the PCI-E cables 6-8 poles.  It is very good.

And so the only thing I had left that I have pluged the compondents of Sata cables that was my Bluray burner, my 2 TB hard drive and my USB 3.0 card.  They are very frank.

Yet once again being installation of hardware in my system let me ask hopefully not a stupid question, but when you connect compondents Sata cable, you must have the plug-in in a particular order of wiring compondent or how do you?  I don't check the specifications of your power supply, but I think most of them have a single 12V rail.  If this is the case, you don't have to connect them to any order.  If there are two rails, it is best to divide the power of each rail.

On my old PSU, it has an extension cable SATA used to connent card USB 3.0 which is pretty tightly squeezed between graphics card and sound card, so I guess I could use the extension cable with the new PSU POWER Sata wiring without any compatibility also publishes, right?  This should be no problem I can think of at this point.

Thanks again for your help, I'll probably will try and plug it once more and see if I can make it work.  If this does not work for now, I strongly suggest that you contact Technical Support of Corsair for help.  They are the experts on their products and grab any errors that we do.  It is very difficult to diagnose a problem by far.  When you have done with this project, you will no longer be the excuss you are a novice. You will have a lot of knowledge that you did not when you started.

  • With the help of external excitation of load cell 9219

I want to use 9219 to assess the load cells.

Internal excitement for 9219 is not sufficient for my application, this device can be used with an external excitation source?

If Yes is it as simple as cross the bridge of load cell using the external voltage and the output of the bridge on the 9219?

Power max would be approximately 20 mV.

Then the 9237 is probably your best choice. For this voltage, you will need to use an external source.

  • 6704 output range is configurable?

    Hello

It is a simple question on PCI6704.

According to the specification of the range of the output is +/-10v for voltage and 0, 1 PCI6704 - 20.2mA for the current, the resolution is 16 bit. When I open the MAX test Panel, it seems to allow me to set the max/min output limit to the channels.

Question is: is this power max/min limit really configurable per channel? For example, if I put power max/min channel 0-0 / 5v, this range 5v will all use 16 bits of resolution?

    Thank you

The range of output voltage on the 6704 is not configurable and is limited to the range of ± 10 V according to the manual PCI-6704 (pg a-1).  Absolute precision is also referred to as ± 1 mv in the specifications.

  • ENVY of HP dv7 Notebook PC: HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC can pass between the Intel and Nvidia graphics processors

I have a request when it runs I get an error as follows:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered display Intel graphics driver Excelerator for Windows 7 (R) driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Is it possible to assign this application for Nvidia graphic card instead of 4000 GPU Intel. If yes how to do this assignment.

    Thank you

Here's what I had to do to get the graphics Performance at a level that would allow the Surfcam CAM application traditional 2015 work correctly:

  • Acer Aspire V5 552 slow game performance low when it is plugged into the charger (HELP!)

So, I recently noticed that my Acer laptop has a problem when it comes to games. The speed of the CPU is really low when you start a game, I did not notice this until a few hours before... I was playing Borderlands 2 and I am disconnected from my laptop to move it to my office and I noticed that my FPS has increased almost double what they were before, I plugged my laptop for the charger and I started to look at the the CPU cores, each carrot got preatty fluctuating between speed and low speed. I've tested this with all my games and all had the same results, for example a Borderlands 2 area when it is plugged in the exercise was about 18-22 FPS, but when disconnected from the charger the FPS increased from 34-48 or more. I tried to read a lot of things on the web and can not find a solution to this...

Another test I did was with Dolphin Gamecube emulator, the FPS when playing the legend of Zelda The Wind Waker varies between 22-26 or lower on the places of strong thickness, when unplugging my laptop charger I have 30 fps constant in these heavy areas.

Also with Counter Strike Global Offensive, the game normally ran about 50-60 FPS in all the cards and then tested without the charger plugged in and got 70-120 FPS on all cards

This video shows exactly what happens for me, unless I have an AMD GPU and CPU.

My Acer Aspire V5 552 Specs are.
    Windows 7 X 64
    8 GB RAM
    AMD A8 - 5557M @2. 1 GHz to 2.8 GHz Turbo
    AMD 8550G GPU
I have all the latest drivers and updates installed.

The charger is not damaged, it is original one supplied with the notebook.

Got a nice deal on a MSI gaming laptop. At first I thought that the Aspire V5 has been an excellent laptop for budget games, but then turned that has a performance problem that ruined the processors to give power maxi while only plugged in, but when unplugged the other way around. Still a nice cell phone with potential wasted with this particular problem.

No solution to this problem, tecs don't even bother looking at BIOS like other manufacturers of laptop to solve this same problem.
