    Hey guys

So I have an acer Predator G3-710

    • Intel Core i5-6400
    • 8 GB RAM
    • GTX 1070

But it keeps overheating when im playing games on ultra high heat. And since there were "IceTunnel thermal system" theres no fans in the enclosure.

A fan will simply solve this problem? The poor obvisoly can't get enough air. So her dosent system thermal iceTunnel seem to work now

If the case has a place to install a fan, you can buy a fan that uses a molex connector for power.  But it will be always on except if you buy one with an on/off switch.  Temp could lower a bit.

Try to use the Geforce experience to optimize your game settings.

-Port HMDI, but covered with a plastic?

-Port DP with removable plastic (ok)

-several USB ports and audio (ok)

-Geforce GTX960: 1 white DVI port, marked 1 (DVI-I dual link?), HMDI port and 1 DP

-geforce GTX960 below: 1 black port marked 2 (DVI - D dual link?)

    Hi ddh43,

You probably just ask a specific question to be better results from the community.

The first ports are usually covered because everyone understands that the video card should be used and they will plug the video ports of motherboard and have less experience.

The GTX960 takes two slots, so you should have 2 DVI, 1DP, 1HDMI in this configuration.

  • Replacement of power supply Acer M3985

Hi guys, my acer M3985 just food fried last week I need your advice what power supply should I choose I do not know if a high quality such as corsair or other brands would fit... any ideas what should I do?

Your proposed replacement seems fine to me (assuming that it meets the requirements of power as noted finlux - more power = less stress). Your current power be 300W or 500W according to specification. The image of newegg shows the power supply upside. In Acer, there the fan down and the outlet to the left. Switch POWER supply power switch is the insulator and would normally be left at any time. PC normal power would be the front switch as you do now. It should be a straight replacement.

I can't connect to my desktop and everything works normally.  But when I leave my computer alone, if I run a game or not, and no one touches, it displays a blue screen with the error above.  Does anyone have a solution?

OK, but a week later the same problem occurred.  This time I retried the search google for anything whatsoever.  I managed to find the message with a driver who has a problem of "overclocking".  I went to the Acer website and went to the drivers.  I thought I had them all, but I missed the chipset driver.  Now, I got the BSOD when I updated and since then, I have not had a crash.  I hope that this help anyone having the same problem.  And thank you to everyone who has helped too.

  • Power supply replacement for Acer Aspire x 1800 desktop mini

I need help to identify what supplies I can get to replace the rather noisy in there.

Also, if anyone knows about the actual model and details of one that comes with (pines, watts, efficiency) that would be appreciated.

Once I bought a replacement and it didn't fit because of the very compact housing.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, in regards to the power, I think that a 220 watt power supply will do. Regarding the size, if you live in America, I take to Tiger Direct and let them help you. They are very friendly and intelligent. Help most basic is free. It wouldn't hurt.

They carry several alternative energy supplies. They wear very probably one you need.

After checking, it looks like the power you need.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/new-genuine-Acer-Aspire-X1700-X1800-X1900-X1920-X3100-X3200-power-supply-220...

Here is the link where I got most of the info:

    http://www.CNET.com/products/Acer-Aspire-x1800-u9002-core-2-Quad-Q8300-2-5-GHz-4-GB-750-GB/specs/

Most of the supplies are about the same size. But I can't say its size for a mini.

But again, you could call Acer for most of the information you need.

  • Power supply with Acer Aspire X 1200 problem

Hello world. I need help. I'm new to Acer Community Forum, but have a problem with my off-warranty X 1200 desktop model. It turns off and I am unable to start it. I changed outlets and also changed the power supply cord. Still nothing. The only thing I see on the Acer Support site is "check the tension on the system setting", but no explanation on how to do this. The system has a fuse that could be replaced? Someone had a similar problem? Any ideas as to what I can do to feed her top? Thank you.

    Ethel

Thanks for your comments. It turns out that I was able to 'test' the PSU using the method "trombone" (20-24 pin, placing the trombone open between the Green and of the sons of black earth) and confirmed that the most likely guilty was in fact the power supply. I bought a new one on eBay (about $53) and in 2 days it had in my hands. I followed an other UTube on how to replace the power SUPPLY and even if I there was, cleaned dust on the fan, etc., put everything together, and SUCCESS! Now everything works fine. I agree that it would have been probably not cost-effective to have Geek Squad troubleshoot and replace the power supply, but to do it myself, I would say that it was well worth! Considering that it was the first time that I NEVER opened a tour, I feel pretty good on the result. Thanks again for your response! Ethel

  • The Acer M3641 will have a standard ATX power supply? My power supply is dead.

My M3641 does not start and it seems to be dead while it is turned off.  It was plugged and it started sparking and make loud pop.  I see no signs of a short circuit or damage the inside of the case, but I did not remove or open the power supply.  I think to replace, but I can't find all the information on the sites of Acer which would specify if a standard ATX PSU would work or if there are installation instructions I need.  Does anyone out there know about this?  Thank you.

OK, no answer here yet, so I had to make a decision.  I bought a ThermalTake TR2 430W ATX PSU (also shown on their Web site as W0070) and I replaced the power supply in my M3641.  It cost me $25 (after discount) at a local TigerDirect store (CompUSA was.)  I was shocked (no pun intended) the degree of simplicity to install.  I was also shocked that he seems to have worked immediately.

First I disconnected the power of the unit and press and hold the power on button on the front of the PC (according to the instructions of Acer) to release any remaining electrical load (or so they claim).  I removed the 4 screws of the old PSU and slid the box out of the chassis Assembly while retaining all connected cables.  I found the best direction for the new PSU (fan stood in the same place, so the new power supply heat can be evacuated in the chassis, but the chassis is open enough and if the fan is drawing inside the PSU the air comes from the back of the unit (reasonably fresh air.)  It's the only way it would fit the attachment power cord located on the side of the draw.  The old power supply had the fan and the power cord on the same side attachment to the rear of the chassis).  Note that it is possible that the fan is fan in the power supply and the back.  I do not know.  In any case, I had no choice about the direction.

I unplugged the old PSU connector and replaced it by plugging the connector corresponding since the new power supply.  I did step by step, a connector at the same time, check first to make sure I knew exactly where the connector has been set and what was the orientation.  In each case, I checked to make sure that the paired wire color coding.  In some cases, there was an extra wire on the new connector, but all the others were corresponding to the color and orientation.  I had a square connection 4 pins which does not correspond to the form of any connector again, but the new PSU was a rectangle connector 8 this divide into two 4 pin and I joined an of these.  The main connector has been 24 pins and the new PSU gave me an option of 20 or 24 pins.  Once again, no problem.  I noticed that one of the connections of the old PSU was actually two connections separated on a single cable, so I simply repeated with the new power supply, which included two cables multiconnector just for this purpose.  I used one of those for the two connections (hard disk, I think) and the other for a single connection, probably for the optical drive.

The old power supply was now completely detached.

After checking that all the screws and connectors have been secured, screw the plate chassis and to make sure the PC is properly delivered together, I plugged it in the end of the power cable supplied with the new power supply with the power off PC switch.  Then I plugged the other end of the power cable on my PS backup APC no explosion yet, so I went the new PC button power on / off to we.  Still no spark, so I pressed the button on the front of the PC and voila, it lights up and started.  Everything seems fine.  It seems to work normally.  If I encounter problems such as overheating, I will update this post.

  • Acer Aspire T3-710 upgraded gpu

    Hi all

I recently bought the computer desktop Acer Aspire T3 - 710 (form below), however, I need to update the graphics card and it seems that there is enough space to fit this card Nvidia GTX 750 ti. The current map graphic is a Nvidia gtx 745 (OEM) (Plug here). This current card is a single location that I want is double slot (there are 4 unique locations on the back plate) it seems pretty great, but I'm not sure.

Anyone has any advice on the upgrade of this card? Or better yet the GPU, which fit the T3-710? My current diet is only 220w so I know I need to upgrade it too, but I don't want to until I have a graphics card I know will fit.

    My current desktop features;

    10 64-bit Windows Home

    Intel Core i7 @ 3.40 GHz Skylake 14nm 6700

    16 GB of Dual-Channel DDR3 RAM

Card mother Acer Aspire T3-710 (U3E1)

4 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745

3 TB drive HARD 5400 RPM

    220w PSU

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi neewu

I also recently bought this pc and immediately updated to a unit of evga 600w power supply to install a decent gpu. As it is the best gpu you could go with this prebuilt is a 750ti. The issue is not only with the PSU, but the length of the card itself. There is only 1 PCI slot on the motherboard and there are connections of power directly behind the video card apparently preventing one more card of 6.5 inches or more should be installed. From what I understand, it would be useful to upgrade the power supply that I have and go for a GTX 960 mini or mini 970. If someone has updated the gpu on this pc that I would also be interested to know what suits. I ordered a mini 970 and will display the results when it arrives

  • buy a second power supply

Where can I buy a second power supply for my laptop with predator G9-791-79Y3?

    Hello

Here are the part numbers of the original AC adapters:

  • 12V power supply blew my usb ports

I have an Acer 5738z and stupidly I plugged a power supply of 12v to the back of a monitor in one of the usb ports on my laptop. Now I have zero usb to work.

Can someone point me in the right direction for what could have been grilled, fried or just died?

I'm guessing it will be a corrective work to shop, but it could be something stupid like an overload switch off. I tried a factory restore, but failed.

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply... Managed to fix my problem by other means.

I want to get back the abilty to connect a mouse to the laptop and with blown USB was an unbreakable wall facing, so me be me and to have this strange love of the violin I stripped a USB cable of his male end (the female leaving intact) and using a similar to an internal modem card bluetooth I took the tiny metal connectors our and carefully them wrapped in tape and they slipped on the pins of taking I would have plugged a BT Module, and then deleting a BT Dongle USB's from so I wrapped tape to insulate it and plugged... Testimonials - I now BT internal with a BT mouse and I am happy again.

I had to get a diagram for the motherboard so I could work on the correct wiring order but got the first opportunity, and I had to remove plastic inside the Palm so it would all fit with the laptop intact.

I want to replace it with an XFX 550W 80 + Bronze certified ATX Power Supply will he adapt to my case? There will be wiring problems? (my diet's die my pc shuts off automatically checked by highpoint, but my warranty is over, so I want to replace it for a better)

    Hi limtenggen

  • New power supply for w510 to the United Kingdom

    Hello

I just broke the pins on my diet revolving around the connector, so it snaps correctly and now my power supply is broken, not having is not a standard power unit that I seem to be a little drunk as there is no readily available alternative.

Shop Acer doesn't seem to work so can't get there guess that will teach me to go against the tide and buying a less known brand.

Any ideas where I can source one to the United Kingdom? The right pain as if I wanted to take away on vacation next week.

    See you soon

    Sandy

It's a little a problem, I think that for my own problem that the PSU is fine and just the casing broke I will either make a new door, or actually even easier to buy a charger iconia 18w of another model and transplant the inner workings and the connector.

  • G4 MDD power supply Issue

My MDD was recently stop only two or three minutes after a cold start. The power led lights up, the gray screen with the Apple logo appears with the spinning wheel, but then the machine suddenly loses power as if the power cord was disconnected. These are the things I've already tried:

    1. Removed the PRAM Battery
    2. Disconnected all devices except the keyboard and the monitor
    3. Tried a different power cord

Start in safe mode did not help. The fans are all running, the red LED lights on the logic board and disk drives seem to work. This could be a power supply issue or a problem with the motherboard and is it possible that I can definitely identify the problem without being able to start the G4? The startup time has been considering more when everything worked last week, would that be a clue? I've owned this machine for more than twelve years and it put to the test so I wonder if it's time to retire him.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Hi, looks a lot like a problem of heat from the CPU, thermal paste is usually good for 5 years or more.

    It runs longer open door?
