    Hello

We have hundreds of these laptops and use the HARD drives encrypted in them.

A soft reboot, they cause the HDD re - encrypt itself due to loss of power when you soft restart.
Someone at - it a work around for this (parameters of the BIOS, the BIOS update) that won't cause this issue for us?
I believe that we are currently on version 2 BIOS. "something"if it helps everything.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sean

The laptop turns off a moment during a warm reboot. An update of the BIOS will not change that.

    Maybe you should use Bitlocker.

  • Power supply drive hard 320 is death - where to find replacement?

    Hello

The power supply for my 320 GB external hard drive (PX1223E - 1 32) that I bought a year ago died. I'm a little annoyed that the player has been barely used and only just out of storage after a move of the House!

Can anyone help to track down a replacement to the United Kingdom? It's the brand Dura Micro Inc. AC adapter 100-240V 1. 2 a + 12V 1. 2 a + 5V 2A and the PDC resembles a connector 4-pin type 'DIN' of power.

Does anyone have a contact email address for Customer service/returns under UK that it is possible to replace it under warranty.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

    Hello

    What s about your dealer?
In your case I would contact the retailer where you bought this part and if your warranty is valid, you should get a replacement unit or unit must be sent for repair.

  • Pavilion 6000: No power to second hard drive cable

Hard disk in the PC crashes mechanically.  You want to ghost a second hard drive before the first drive crashes completely.   Bought double the existing hard drive, but there is no connector power cable for this.  Plug SATA, but cannot turn on the second hard drive.  What should I do?

    LB1815, welcome to the forum.

If I understand your problem, this is the Connector that you need.  It converts a single SATA power cable with two connectors.  This allows you to connect two drives with the cable.  There are many other brands available on Newegg.  It is an example.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • new power supply and HARD drive for t350.it

Hi, I should install an ATI 4650HD on a t350.it, but the requirements of the system says I need a 400W power supply, while this pc has a 220 W one. Can someone confirm this for me? In this case, can I install a 500W power supply in this pc? Another question, it should be installed even a 500 GB Sata HARD drive, but the location that contains the drives are very close, you can see in the attachment to page 104 page signed 'disco rigído' with the G, can this cause a problem of high temperature? This pc is compatible with a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SATA?

You are right.  Is there an AGP version of the card.  I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of the correct version.  Many have made the mistake of buying the wrong type.

Yes, the PSU's power supply.  Sorry for the use of the acronym without explanation. You will find it difficult to find a more powerful power supply which will be insert in your case.  The 220W is about it.  There is a lot of discussion on the forum about this problem.  I don't want to specify on the thing, however.  The amount of power supplied by a PSU is only as much as the system needs to run.  It has the production capacity of 600W, does not mean that it will be clocked at that power all the time.  It would not damage your motherboard (motherboard) If you have installed a.

    Hi amps2007,

Windows XP, Vista and 7 do not support this feature.
You have to look at 3rd party management of electricity in order to have the Player control you're wanting.

  • Power light / hard drive/battery Inspiron 5759 does not?

Bought this computer from my wife for Christmas.  Apparently, Dell has combined the power of disk hard/light activity indicator / and the battery status light in a unique light on the front edge of the computer.  My concern is that the only light briefly when I plug into the power supply first, then it turns off and on again never.  Even when the hard drive is written or the bedside lamp lights to show activity.  Is this normal?  I am concerned that this is a way that I used to determine if things happen on my computer as it should.  If the light is not designed to show the disk activity hard when it occurs, what is it?

If you have not found the answer to your question, so this should help you.

Press and hold 'Fn' which lies between the Ctrl and Windows Key, then press the 'H' button  This action will be necessary every time that you restart the computer.

Any kind dbo know the answer to:

Could it be caused damage to run a USB connection external 3 1/2 "HD (160 g) - say a .avi movie - into the USB port on the front of the unit?

That is to say, power supply of the unit will be responsible for the extra bit Ok?

Or is this the wrong forum to ask this detail? :)

Thank you - everything you need to know about would of course be appreciated...

    See you soon

To be honest, it is Toshiba forum created for calculation problems.
In any case, check the drive specification to see if the USB port has enough power for external HARD disk. I had old DVD player and I could only use USB keys.

You can try to connect USB HDD to see if the drive will be recognized correctly. You won't damage anything.

  • Where to get the interface for 500 GB drive HARD USB3

The USB connector is damaged, one of the bent pins.
It does not seem to have the expected SATA interface where I could use a different case.

It seems the only way to power and the HARD drive inside the interface, with a Toshiba pcb which includes USB 3.

Can someone tell where I can get one I have many ion of the data on the drive that I can't access?

If I understand you right all what you need is new USB cable, no?

Googling around, I found many online shops, including offers on eBay where you can simply order cable USB 3.0 portable hard drives from Toshiba.

You will find the order in your country too?

  • Satellite P300-135 system issues using two HARD drives

About a month ago I bought a faster hard drive for my laptop (because it wasn't hard drive 5400 RPM by default), and computer technicians to the store where I bought my laptop has recommended a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 250410.

The first couple of days everything went smooth, but after that, every second, restart my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) reports of problems with my video card, sometimes 'Windows cannot initialize the device of this hardware driver. (Code 37) ", the other time"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. " (Code 43) ", and when this error occurs, the keyboard and the keyboard do not work too.
I made a simple and primitive diagnosis by deleting the second hard drive and rebooted 5 or 6 times, and everything went very well.

So I think the problem is that the laptop has not enough power for two hard disks. Is it true, or is my phone begins to fail?

Sorry for my mistakes of language, but English is my second language.

    Hello

Usually the second HDD should not affect the performance of the system, but it of impossible
So maybe you should test the specifications and performance of OS using another HARD drive maybe a HARD disk that takes in charge of 5400 RPM

  • Adding a second hard drive

I have a HP Pavilion P6716F. The vehicle currently has a 1 TB hard drive (HD #1). I want to add a second hard drive of 2 TB (HD #2).

I have a SATA connector cable, but you need to know what SATA on Alvorix RS880 port plug in. There is a white SATA P2 next to a P1 blue SATA to which is connected the current hard drive (HD #1). Is SATA P2 the right port to plug the second disc (HD #2)

What I need to populate the second disc? If so, it seems that there are spare connectors which could be used. One of them is close by the power supply for hard disk #1. HD #1 is connected to a connector marked P4. P4 connector is divided (siamesed) another identical connector marked P5. The second hard drive (HD #2) must be plugged into this connector?

    Kostas,

has worked like a charm. Thanks to a bouquet.

  • Satellite 1800-712 does not recognize my USB external HARD drive

    Hello

I would really appreciate the help. I own a satellite 1800-712. I have receently bought a usb external hard drive for some extra memory (IE Toshiba MK4026GAX USB Device)

When I connect it to my usb port it records any with the computer. The green light so there is power to the hard drive. The usb ports recognized of other fine features (a modem and memory stick)

I tried the external hard drive on a desktop pc and it works fine.

I have downloaded all windows xp service pack updates and updated my bios. Don't know what to do now.

Please help and thank you in advance!

    Hello

Although sometimes, I know that the OS is not able to recognize the external USB device, because the device external USB (HDD) consumes more energy than the 500mA.
The USB ports provide 500mA power and if the device needs more power so it s is not possible for the Windows operating system to recognize the external device.
You have an external power supply for the USB HDD? You should use it.

    Good bye

  • Types of POWER connectors required on HP Pavilion t550.uk

I need to replace the power supply of my HP Pavilion t550.uk to accommodate a new graphics that require 300 Watts. The PSU existing according to me is a BESTEC ATX-250-12Z REC: C.

Open the machine up there seem to be 5 existing connections:

    (1) CD and DVD - these two players have a rectangular connector with sections of 4 x 1 and 8 wires

    (2) hard - this is very similar to the above but maybe a bit bigger in size.

    (3) motherboard - a large rectangular connector with sections of 10 x 2. Many sons.

    (4) motherboard - a connector 2 x 2 with 4 wire square.

The new graphics card also requires a 4 pin connection.

    The existing power supply dimensions are 6 inches x 5 1/2 in. x 3 1/2 inches.

I was considering an Antec E380 or something similar, but I am concerned about the type of connectors that I need. I think that the existing motherboard connectors are compatible with most modern power supplies, but I'm not sure about the others.

Other http://www.itwinkle.com/be25posuba.html , which is not the same exact model, I can't find any online form describing the connectors on the Bestec. Here, they are described as 4 x PATA.

-L'Antec has 6 x Molex (4 x SATA, which look completely different from me). http://www.Antec.com/connectors.php?ProdID=04639

    -The Cosair 430CX has 3 x 4 Pin peripheral connectors (4 x SATA).

Are these Molex or 4 peripheral connectors that I need or do I have to seek alternatives or adapters might be?

    Would appreciate some advice.

    Thank you

Yes, it's a 4 pin Molex. The same as that used to power the old hard disks IDE/PATA.
