PowerEdge T710 Tower Perc H800 / H700 not Compatible
Hey I have a dell poweredge t710 Tower Server, when I update Perc 6 / i in H800 / H700 its give me error 'this update Package is not compatible with your system configuration. In fact I want to raid 4 TB Hard Drive in my server, that's why I need H800 / H700...
You can't update a PERC 6 / i with PERC H700 firmware. It is not an update of the firmware you need - you need a new/different controller card.

How can any solution for this, I use full 4 TB of hard drive storage,
Only one solution: replace the PERC 6 / i with a PERC H700.
In my new role, I inherited a number of servers managed until now by someone else. One of them is a PowerEdge T710 with a Controller PERC H700. There are two matrices; the other has four 3TO disks in a RAID-5 configuration.
I don't need the storage space any where near as much as the reliability factor. Is it possible to do a migration on-site from RAID 5 to RAID-6 without disturbing data? There is enough free space, and I have no problem losing a portion of the free space I have.
"Is it possible to do a migration on-site from RAID 5 to RAID-6 without disturbing data?"
Yes, BUT you can use this method by ADDING another disk. RAID 6 requires a minimum of 4 drives. Insert a disk "to hot', then in the software OpenManage (OMSA), go into storage, PERC, virtual disks and reconfigure in the drop-down list of tasks available for RAID 5.
"There is enough free space, and I have no problem losing a portion of the free space I have."
Apart from the fact that RAID 6 requires a minimum of 4 drives, even if you want to spend a 4 drive RAID 5 has a 4-drive RAID 6, it could NOT be done. You can't make a smaller table. The controller doesn't know - or care - on real data of BONE on the disks (so the amount of 'free space' is not serious) and is not worried about virtual disk space (which would be filled if the total capacity of the discs has been used).
We have PowerEdge R710 with perc h700 raid 5 controller physical drives under raid6 running. We have recently added a sixth of the road which is much smaller (512 against 4 TBS) we want to just format and use it as a normal drive in the OS (Ubuntu 12.04.5).
However, the drive is not visible in the operating system. When you enter the settings of the RAID controller that it says that the drive is READY but not configured and all the options to the title of operations are grayed out. How can we make this hard drive is visible in the operating system?
See you soon
The H700 does NOT support non RAID, so all records first must be configured on the controller, before its presentation to the BONE. You must configure (initialize) as a single drive RAID 0.
I have an older R310 which does NOT support the hot-swappable drives and I'm looking to add a raid card Perc H700. A few quick searches show only cables for installation bottom of basket.
So I'm not the guy of material more experienced so there cables that go from the H700 to readers SAS?
It should be X394K part number. The description is HARD drive cable. PERC H200/H700 HDD card
Hello everyone we recently bought dell precision t7600 and perc h800 map for
control of Keystone md 1200 powe... Win server 2008 r2 is installed but no driver work for dell perc h800 tried so site Web of frim dell drivers but still no hope... am wondring if anyone can help me... Thank you
Since you're under 2008 R2, you might be able to run the Package version of update for Microsoft Windows, but since 2008 R2 is not supported on the T7600, it may not work properly, then you can try the hard drive version. Since the H800 is not supported on the T7600 at all, it is possible that none of the Dell drivers will work.
Hello I'm trying to configure Raid 12 1 (two pairs disks) in my Inbox MD 1220 with PERC H800. I started with 12 discs as 12 virtual drives Raid 0 and have recently added 12 additional physical disks for a mirror. I am able to mirror 9 virtual disks but when I select my 9th virtual to the mirror, no drives appear as available. The other 3 drives are there in the 'ready' State, but manage to open or the BIOS configuration utility seem to be able to use them as candidates of mirror. My computer is running in a kind of limitation of Raid 1 with Cabinet / card? Operating system: Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter Open Manage 7.4 Latest firmware / drivers for PERC H800 thanks! Dan ouedraogo
I just tried OMCleanup and reinstalled 7.4. He exhibited the same symptoms showing is not the physical drives in the H800. I can't find a download 7.2 but would be willing to try the previous versions. A previous version of OM worked with the same controllers / speakers / computer, but I do not remember the version where I improved. (I am an individual shop and am not very informed when it comes to managing open, its versions and how to install/uninstall).
I can still kill the DSM SA connection Service by running a foolish occupation for the H800 report. The report H700 works fine.
Windows 2012 will be installed on a PowerEdge T710? Is there a version of systems management tools and Documentation that will have drivers for a PERC 6 / i and Windows 2012?
The T710 supports Server 2012 (Standard & Datacenter). As much as the disk GDPS, he was arrested near the release of Server 2008 as the drivers of our controllers are already present in the OS support. This allows you to start right on the OS media. It goes the same for 2012. Then you should be able to boot directly from the installation media.
On another note, support.dell.com has a drop-down list of OS that has Server 2012, so we have released for this OS so drivers.
Let me know how it goes.
Hi all. Can't find a good answer online and thought, that I would ask here.
The PowerEdge SC440 will support a PERC H800 or 810? I'm looking to connect a MD1200 or 1220.
Any ideas or comments are welcome. Let me know if you need further information. Thank you!
Unfortunately the SC440 will not support the H800 series controllers. The only controllers supported for the server the U320 scsi controller or SAS5/ir. Which can take in charge the MD1200/1220.
Sorry I don't have the answer you are looking for. Let me know if this helps to clarify things.
Go to the last part of the installation, the installation stops and returns to Windows Vista. Receive the message "hardware not compatible". How can I find the material that is causing the problem?

Tips for solving common problems when Windows 7 won't install troubleshooting
1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known issues that might affect the installation and correct them.
2 disable any security software: anti-virus, firewall etc. Don't forget to activate the Afterwords.
3 make sure that your computer has the BIOS and latest drivers. Update of the BIOS can be risky, don't do that if nothing else works.
4. disconnect all external devices except the keyboard and mouse before installing.
5. If using a video card and the computer has integrated video use and remove the video card.
6 unplug the computer from the internet, if you have wireless disable.
7. RAM (memory) - reduce the amount of RAM. 1 GB if 32-bit installation, 2 GB for 64-bit, then replace RAM if the upgrade was successful. If you added new RAM make sure it is also compatible.
8. If you have several hard drives remove all except the one that you install Windows 7, and then replace it after Windows 7 is installed.
9. If you have downloaded Windows 7 and it burned a DVD test burn again at the slowest speed possible. It is also possible the download may have errors, you can try to download it again.
10. If you click 'Upgrade' to start the installation make sure that you take a supported upgrade path. You can't make a square by update: type A) XP to Windows 7, B) fuse change - 32 to 64-bit, C) change languages, D) decommissioning editions ex: Vista of the month last 7 Pro, or E) Vista Home Pro 7.
11. check your RAM (memory) to find errors. Can take a long time, don't make that if nothing else has worked.
(A) Insert the Windows 7 DVD and restart the computer.
(B) start from the Windows 7 DVD.
(C) select your language, and then click Next.
(D) click on "repair your computer" then select the operating system to fix it.
(E) click on the link of the Memory Diagnostics in the system recovery menu.
(F) the computer will restart and your memory is checked for errors.
12 turn off startup programs:
(A) click Start, type MSCONFIG in the search box and press ENTER.
OK the authorization of user account control and password if necessary
If you are using XP: click Start, run, and type: MSCONFIG and click OK.
(B) on the general tab, click Selective startup.
(C) just below the selective startup, clear the checkbox "Load Startup items".
(D) click the Services tab, check "Hide all Microsoft Services", and then click Disable all.
(E) click OK, and then restart the computer.
(F) try the upgrade again.
(NOTE: If the upgrade fails and you continue to use your rear security software, then also go back into MSCONFIG and under the general Tower XP/Vista tab, click "Normal startup", and then click OK to exit.)

Problem: I can't move my Exchange vmserver2 a vmserver1 server.

* Ensure that the hosts have the same features enabled in the BIOS of the servers. If there is an incompatibility between the servers BIOS configuration even if they are physically identical, they always show a compatibility error message. The two most common to check features are the No-Execute memory Protection (NX / XD) and virtualization technology (VT / AMD - V).

This virtual Exchange machine works since Esxi version 3.5. I am testing now vCenter Server 5.0 with version 5.0.1 on the Esxi server.
Note: I've also been meeting random uses CPU high, leading from Windows Server 2008 to lock up completely. I have found no trace of problems within the Windows host and Vcenter is not questions. I have "reset" of the virtual machine in order to get the server back online. The CPU to the top lock is random and the server can run for days with no problems. * Don't know if it's related...

I understand that vmotion apply restrictions on the movement of VM compatibility to avoid it. The components of the HA does not apply to these requirements. We tested yesterday HA, succsessfully and this how we came to be stuck with the Exchange vm on vmserver2 and it cannot migrate to vmserver1.
I appreciate your time and consideration,
It seems that you have two different processor speeds. Try the VCA mode and also check the BIOS version you and make sure they match.
I see that this error was mailed here, but can't seem to find a position with a resolution.
We use Lab Manager 4.0.4 and just upgraded the hosts in our laboratory. Before updating to ESXi 4.1 ESX 4.0 u1, we cancelled all VMs in all configurations. There is none who were suspended, they were all turned off. We have improved vcenter 4.0 to 4.1 as well. We moved from a dell poweredge 1950 with two quad core intel L5410 to a r610 with two quad core intel processor E5506.
When I try to turn on some of the lab configurations (our VM models all work fine), I get this error:
- Cannot use 'lab1' host because the host CPU is not compatible with the judgment of the virtual machine suspend state.
I threw the State for the lab configuration (even if it was turned off and cancelled) and still get this message. I guess the processor architecture of these chips is quite similar, and both are Intel.
If I go into this directory of Manager of laboratory inside the data store for one of these virtual machines that does not light and add to the inventory, he turned and starts fine on my server esxi 4.1. So how do Lab Manager to get account it's well deploy and start it?
Although not supported completely, you can solve it by going to the SQL of Lab Manager database. Make sure that you back up your database before you do anything like that.
Open the table "fsdir" and corresponds to the dir_id with the id Lab Manager VM. Once you find the relevant line, change suspend_proctype_id to null (Zero-Ctrl). You can do this while Lab Manager is still running.
The results can be unstable (i.e. Windows can crash if it was a drastic change of CPU), but at least you look at a hard reset. The bat reset certainly not being able to return to the previous state.
Also note that while Lab Manager does not include CVS, if you activated, your virtual machines still work in CVS mode. If you have a mixture of heterogenious of hosts in a cluster for Lab Manager, you can see this question pop up a lot. There is absolutely nothing wrong with take back the virtual machine because of the VCA, but Lab Manager thinks otherwise and prevents it.
I installed MacOs Sierra. At the end of installation, I got an error "this system extension"VboxDrv.kext "is is not compatible with this version of Mac OS X and cannot be used.
I own macbook 13 inch, middle of model year 2010.
You must update to VirtualBox (or uninstall). Go to http://www.virtualbox.org to get the latest version or the instructions to uninstall...

I'm really annoyed because my thunderbird has been automatically updated to 38.1.0 and since then I can't use the extra folder columns 1.1.5 Add-on very useful for me, because it is not compatible with thunderbird 38.1.0. I'm really angry. Update to thunderbird, it is supposed to improve to do not deteriorate like that.
If you would have bothered to read the release notes, you would have noticed that the add-on is not longer necessary.
The features are now built.
In recent weeks, I use Thunderbird 38.1.0.
But when I have a few Add-ons, the site informs me that all add-ons are not compatible with my version of Thunderbird 38.1.0.
I am using windows 7 Pro 64.
Please can someone help me with this problem?
You must request the addition on the author. Thunderbird has no control over software 3rd party development.
