PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

I am a teacher and all my tests are done on 5.2 view review program by Prentice Hall. My school bought in 2014. When I try to run it in my macbook 2016 pro I get this message, "unable to open 'The ExamView Player installer' application because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported." I really don't want to have to redo all my tests.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! My students thank you too!

Apple has stopped supporting these types of applications when they moved to the Lion that was 6 years ago.

OS x: the Application icon has a prohibitive sign or "PowerPC applications are no longer supported" appears - Apple Support

See for some background information

You will need to contact Prentice Hall to find a version that runs on your current OS X.

A site lists a different version of a product called Examview compatible with 'Mac OS versions 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11' but I don't know if this is the product you are referring to.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

Except by running Mac OS X Server 10.6 inside a product such as VirtualBox or Parallels Desktop or decommissioning the BONE if possible on the Mac, no.

  • ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported in 11.2 to 9.2.0.8 database

    Hello

I use the ODP.NET 11.2 (Oracle.DataAccess.dll 4.112.3.0) for .NET 4.5 (in Visual Studio 2012). I can connect to 11g databases but when trying to connect to 9.2.0.8 database, this error is thrown:

ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported

I do not understand why, like I could connect using Toad, but not a .NET application.

    Furthermore, I use Windows 7 64 bit.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,.

I see that you have version 12 of the supplier in the GAC (i.e. Version = 4.121.1.0). But only for the x 86 and you mentioned that you had Windows 7 64 bit. Your application is compiled as x 86, x 64 or Any CPU?

You have confirmed that your application does not load this version? For example, because policy redirects in the GAC (such as Policy.4.112.Oracle.DataAccess, Version = 4.121.1.0).

You can use a tool such as SysInternals Process Explorer or the Assembly Binding Log Viewer (i.e. the SDK fuslogvw) to confirm if necessary.

It is true that version 12 would return ORA-3134 when you attempt to connect to a database of 9.2 because this combination is not supported.

    Thank you

Muse is not up-to-date 7.4 to the latest version. Instead it takes me to a web page (http://www.adobe.com/products/muse.html! Older users are no longer supported unless we buy EVERYTHING? I had cant with the technical service. If anyone else facing this problem, you must now download Adobe Creative Cloud from here: Get Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App & Adobe Application Manager

Install it, sign in with the SAME log-in Adobe as the one you use for MUSE, then creative cloud will update to recognize that you pay for MUSE. Then you click on APPS and update it.

  • Old version of Dreamweaver are no longer supported by Adobe?

I have Dreamweaver MX2004 with valid licenses that are accepted, but when I try to activate the product it can be done online and provided phone numbers no longer works. When I contacted Adobe, they said "older versions are no longer supported, try the forums" someone help me with this?

Adobe ceased their servers for CS2 and below licenses some time ago. And your product is not an Adobe product.

Adobe has released a series of serial numbers of their older products that should work:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/Macromedia-legacy-activation-error.html

Know that your software is almost 10 years old. You may be well advised to switch to something that is more in line with current web standards. I would like to mention that your version of Dreamweaver would work very well to make HTML documents for email.

  • Options for those who have printers that are no longer supported.

With the release of Mountain Lion, various printers have lost support or features to 10.8.

However, there are various third party options that can work for you!

    HPIJS

    Gutenprint

    VueScan

    TWAIN is sane

    Printfab

Even if these drivers are not officially supported by Apple or HP, they provide users with functional driver.

The above drivers works for most of the old and new HP printers.

Most of them have excellent support and can be easily installed by a power user.

I hope that this help any that stuck in a situation of bad driver

  • ORA-03134: connections to this version of the server are no longer supported.

I installed the latest Oracle ODP .NET version for 32-bit Windows 7. I copied on my TNSNAMES file. ORA. This is a new installation and I checked the registry to verify that there is a single ORACLE_HOME here.

When I try to connect to my server (version 8.1.7), I the error described above.

I get the same error in my .NET code, regardless of the library, I use (ODP .NET) or (System.Data.OracleClient).

The .NET version of the ODP is 4.121.1.0

How can I get around this?

    Thanks in advance!

ODP.NET 10.2 downloads are on the same page of the ODAC as 12.1 downloads. Just scroll down until you find the version you want.

You don't need to uninstall 12.1, but if you are a beginner, then I recommend that you uninstall 12.1. Parts unmanaged Oracle customers can face sometimes evil appears in the path of Windows before version is planned.
