  I am using Roxio Creator 2012 but I get a message "Roxio has stopped working - a proplem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is not available"I worked with Roxio Tech for the last 3 days and still not solved the problem... can someone tell me why this won't work. BTW - I loaded the same disc/program on an older laptop with Vista - worked very well. I have already checked the compatibility and tried Vista and Windows 7... or adjustment work

  After completing all the steps in method 2, without success. I returned the file %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto (which in my case is C:\Users\\appdata\local\roxio) to find that I don't have such a record.  Instead, I found a Rovi_Corporation file that contains a subfolder that begins with "RoxioCentralFx" and many other characters.  Changed the Rovi_Corporation Rovi_Corporation.OLD folder.  Roxio Creator 2012 starts perfectly.  Hope that this helps someone to spend countless hours I did trying Roxio Creator 2012 at startup without displaying "Roxio Creator has stopped working".

  Follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  (a) exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.

  (b) delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:

  %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.DB

  To remove the file, follow these steps:

  i. Click Start and then click Run.

  II. in the Open box, type run and then click OK

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  III. in the Open box, type % systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome, and then click OK.

  IV. in the details, click pane right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.

  c. click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.

  (c) start Windows Media Center.
