  Hi Mike.

  Unfortunately, the Sound and Vibration Assistant doesn't have a built-in way to route your signal input to your speakers.

  However, if you have LabVIEW, you can add a step to run a LabVIEW VI that generates output a file from your computer speakers (or external speakers).  You must write a LabVIEW program that either acquires a signal or load a file of recorded signal, then this signal to your speakers.  "You will most likely use the Play Waveform Express VI of the Express" exit pallet on the block diagram.  "After you wrote this program, you need to add a step in the sound and Vibration Assistant using the Add a step" run a LabVIEW VI.

  I found out how integrate time domain signals to m/s in S & V 6.0 Wizard, but not IPS.  I could scale the signal, but the axis labels will be wrong.  How can I integrate directly to the IPS of the entrance of G?  Also, is there a way to do the same thing for the analysis of frequency domain?

  In the audio wizard and vibration - step vibration level, use

  on the integration tab - select double integration and click export integrated signal

  Now you have a shift of signals in the right units.  Make a spectrum on that and you get a spectrum of integrated signal.

• More Sound and Vibration - Leq measurement?

  I'm new to following Sound and Vibration and can't seem to find how to measure Leq. To clarify, I do not have LabView with this package, just the Sagno & Suite 2010. Currently, the only options are linear, exponential, maximum and equal trust (all found in the analysis of Octave SPL stage).

  Should I have LabView to perform a running Leq or Leq measurement?

  I'm new in LabVIEW but I'm working on a project that needs to use LabVIEW in these toolkits: DAQmx, PID and then Sound and Vibration Control.

  In order to experience on the vibrations, I need to use screws of Suite Sound and Vibration, which was not purchased in my Institute. We had the license for LabVIEW 2009 SP1. Unfortunately, I have a VI file written in LabVIEW 2010 my partner. According to the records of view VI, there is a lack of following screws:

  -SVFA Power Spectrum.vi
  -Application Directory.vi
  -SVT FFT .vi spectrum (Mag-Phase)
  -Frequency response (Mag Phase) .vi SVT
  -SVFA amplitude and Phase Real and Imaginary.vi
  -SVL get spectrum subset.vi
  -SVT UFFT58 write.vi
  -SVT UFFT58 write record 6 vi
  -SVT HFFT58 close file.vi

  I would like to confirm if these screws are supplied in the detroit and Viration Suite or / and other toolkits. If all of them can be found in the following Sound and Vibration, what I have to do is to buy the offer away from NOR, is it not? How much should I pay for this Suite.

  On the other hand, if we upgrade from LabVIEW 2011 (which is said to be able to deal with better timer - for the function of data acquisition), how much in total so also buy us more Sound and Vibration 2011.

  All of these VI are included in the Suite Sound and Vibration, which means it's the only additional package that you would need to buy.  On the site OR in the States, the Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite USD $4119 costs.  Since I'm an applications engineer, I'm not in a position where I can advise you on the price, and I am sorry to say that it will be easier for you to contact your engineers in sales in Germany (I guess you are in Germany).  You may have better luck calling into lines of support rather than by e-mail.

  How fast do you think the tree to turn to? The speed of switching module is able to pass to the 1uS extremely quickly. This means that you should be fine unless you are turning the tree at a ridiculously fast speed of approximately 600000 RPM.

  Regarding the reading of signals with the sound and vibration screw, you should be able to do this using the digital tachometer functions.

• Construction of the installer wants to sound and Vibration Distribution but my vi do not need

  My vi contains some common entries and a regular to read some 4-20mA, see attached data acquisition.

  So I save a new project and build an exe with the vi, no problem, see project files attached.

  

  Then I start building the Setup program by clicking below to install the libraries. I think that I click on the right side of the law library?

  

  

  But lo! OR say I need sound and Vibration Distribution, now, where does? My vi has no sound and vibration functions...

  

  I click on no, the installer don't build Labview.

  I click Yes, Labview kept asking me where is the audio library and vibration.

  

  I bought a NI Developer suite, expensive things like costs about US$ 4000 +. My software vendor told me that I don't have the license for the sound and Vibration Distribution.

  Right-click on the express vi and select "Open the front panel", you can now see the express vi blockdiagram. You can store as a new vi and work with it. With the new vi, you have all the controls in the dialog box.

• Assistant OR-9234/Sound and Vibration: being reset to zero (crazy) automatically input signals

  Hi all

  I have a voltage source and a force as entries in a sensor module DAQ 9234.

  The software focuses both signals whenever they change. For example, if the voltage is read by data acquisition increases up to a constant value, the software will trace an increase in tension, followed by a slow return to zero. Similarly, if I increase the force applied to the force sensor and keep it at a constant value, the program will draw an increase in force, followed by a return to zero.

  Here is a graphical representation of the problem, which uses the sensor force for example:

  

  The sensors are passive. The sensor is a PCB 02 208, and the source of tension comes from a LDM-1000 signal conditioner, which receives a signal from a MHR 250 LVDT. By the LVDT core displacement changes are interpreted by the signal conditioner, which translates as the measure of a voltage value that can be read by data acquisition.

  I assume you have the rule 9234 on coupling AC mode, while you should use DC coupling.

  It seems that your configuration of TEDS able & Automation has been lost.  If you open Measurement & Automation you can configure your device TEDS to see something similar to the attached picture.  Once configured in Measurement & Automation then close off Assistant Sound and Vibration, and then start it again. Sound and Vibration Assistant asks simply Measurement & Automation for TEDS devices configured here.

• LabVIEW 8.6 sound and measure suite not installed properly under Vista 32 or 64 bit

  I apologize if this isn't the right place for this post, but I need a solution. I recently bought LabVIEW 8.6 Developer Suite with the Suite Sound Measurement and to create a program of NVH testing at my company. I am a newbe to Labview, but I've been a programmer/hardware geek since the days of the TRS-80 model1. Here's my problem. I installed the following developers DVD package on my Office Windows XP Professional and all goes well. I see the following Sound and Vibration Measurement listed under LabVIEW 8.6 able & Automation Explorer, and examples of the Toolbox for work in LabVIEW. When the laptop I bought to do my current job came with a Vista Business Edition 32 bit version installed I found the following problem. On this machine and two other machines to Vista (64-bit and a 32 bit) I tried, the installation does not record the Souind and vibrations under LabVIEW 8.6 Suite and they show Sound and Vibration toolkit as not installed in the examples section. In the Panel by virtue of National Instruments, all 4 machines show the Suite Sound and Vibration as installed 6.0. I have tried to uninstall, reinstall, change in the control panel and reinstall from DVD without change in the result. I really need get the laptop works as it's my real development and test machine. XP Setup is not an option because the machine newly purchased with a high-end sound system and downgrade XP was not available. I'm out of ideas.

  I wanted to close what I got it finally works. This time, I uninstalled the audio and vibration of the LabVIEW control entries in uninstall Vista. Then re-installed and now it works. Before there were three entries, one for the suite, one for the runtime and one for the Toolbox. After having removed all three and reinstall it from the DVD, only subsequently arises, and everything seems to be good.

  Your options are:

  1. buy the sound and Vibration Toolkit (and LabVIEW so),

  2 buy the version of LabVIEW Student install of the Student Edition (only this version includes noise and vibration measurements): http://www.ni.com/labviewse/compare/

  You can check with your University/College to see if they bought the box tool.
