  • Time machine keeps 'prepare' update

    I noticed yesterday that this time machine turned when I was on finder. (the small wheel circulating)  I checked and the last update was December 27, several days ago.  I have not updated anything or any news apps in.  Nothing has changed.  I am running Yosemite 10.10.5. on my day 2010 27 "iMac.  After searching for communities, I saw one say to uncheck "put the hard drives to sleep when possible" under the energy saver.  I did and it made no difference.  I get all records of time machine that there is a problem, he just keeps trying to update.  I disabled the time Machine for some time and then restarted, it and got the same.  I removed the current and then attached to time machine backup drive, but no difference.  (the disc has 855 GB 2T available and is about a year.) Have no idea that it would take 5/6 days to prepare to be updated even though I had added something new.

    If I update to El Capitan would be it reset Time Machine.  I've been putting it off power to ensure that most of the bugs are out.

    Thank you

  • Upgrade to Version 5 says Logmein 1.0.0.652 plugin is not compatible. Does this mean that I can't use Logmein if I update to Firefox 5? in English

    When preparing update of Firefox 4 for Firefox 5, a message appears that says Logmein 1.0.0.652 plugin is not compatible. I need Logmein daily. So should I stay in FF4 until this problem is solved?

    The LogMeIn add-on has been updated the other day to "LogMeIn, Inc. Remote Access Plugin version 1.0.0.664.

    To try to get this pushed to you, uninstall the old add-on, then reconnect to LogMeIn.

    To uninstall:

    Orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Modules

    On the left side, click Extensions. Here, you should be able to take off and turn it back on.

    Then connect to LogMeIn again and the new version should be pushed to you.

    Once you have it, you can proceed with your update for Firefox 5.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Try to install some other updates and then reboot your PC and run the update again. If the problem has not been resolved, and then run this tool:

  • Windows Update stuck forever looking for updates. Win7 Ultimate x 64 SP1

    General information

    I had a system that works with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It is a platform for development and simulation that encrypted weeks of configuration and installs operational mode. It was installed in 2012 after my old motherboard has been damaged (I had to get a new license... not just).

    I opted for Windows 10 months ago, but because I wasn't ready I postponed. All of a sudden he just kept tenacious and like a child (not the friendliest approach Microsoft!).

    Last week he suddenly put a gun to my head and me has everything just no other choice to postpone, just install. Fortunately, I had done a backup of the Image of the previous day, so with the gun to my head I let him go ahead with the 10 of Windows 'upgrade '.

    Upgrade Windows 10 seemed to go wrong to 83% or more with a screen saying she was hurt that she would try again turned. If she did, and this time he APPEARED to go. Then I got to the Windows 10 for final configuration.

    After the restart the development & simulation PC was totally unusable! It wouldn't start Windows 10 or it could repair itself.

    In view of the "wonderful" experience I really felt not restoring the Image that would be to reformat my OS drive was something I could give my vote of confidence.

    Then... I went out a bought a new hard drive and monitor and installed my trust Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 SP1 on it with the intention of NEVER try to 'upgrade' to Windows 10, as it was more "trouble free" than "free upgrade".

    The question

    So after having been set back a few hundred dollars and having lost several days of development work, I got my new barebones installation:

    • Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    • Brand new WD Caviar Blue 1 TB (without damages or errors on this)
    • (re) My copy of windows activation
    • Installed all the drivers of motherboard

    The problem is when I go to Windows Update, it shows me 16 updates installed, but it ALWAYS gets stuck on "check updates" with "more recent audit of updates: never'and'updates have been installed: never'and'you receive updates: for Windows and other products from Microsoft Update". ""

    It is configured to automatic updates, but all other settings give the same problem, no updates are installing more than 16 who are already there:

    • KB2565063 (redistributable components of Visual C++ 2010 x 64)

    Given that verification of updates is suspended (they weren't there before the problem) I manually downloaded and installed:

    • Kaspersky Antivirus 2016
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile & extended (necessary for antivirus)

    So, how can I get Windows Update to work again? I lost about 4 days of work thanks to this "upgrade".

    For what I was able to see the update of Windows is the latest version of wuauserv.dll. It is an important part of WindowsUpdate.log of today. Note, however, that initially I had intentionally disconnected the network cable, reinstated later, but the problem persists. Note also there are several DatStor warnings about adding a URL that does not. :

  • MySQL update problem

    I tried several variations, but I'm not one of them to run.

    If anyone can tell me what is the problem with what I would be grateful-

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If ($stmt = $mysqli - > prepare ("UPDATE members (password, salt) VALUES (?,?)")) WHERE email =? »))
    {
    $stmt-> bind_param ("sss", $newpassword, $random_salt, $email);
    Execute the prepared query.
    $stmt-> execute();
    Header ("Location:... /Secure/changepass.php?") Success = 1' ");
    }
    else {}
    Header ("' rental:... /Secure/changepass.php? passwordfailed = 1' '");
    }
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Thank you!!

    First of all, the if statement cannot execute the query because the query is not do anything yet. It is the execute statement that performs the action. However, the if statement on the execute statement also does nothing. What you need to do is to check for errors. I would probably use a try/catch, but you can use

    If (stmt-> error) {}

    do something

    } else {}

    do something else

    }

    I don't use mysqli. I use PDO. Maybe your bind_param is OK, but it looks bad to me. The last variable goes to where clause. Does it work?

    With the PDO function, you can be very clear which column corresponds to which variable, similar to the following. If something similar is available with mysqli, I would use it:

    $sqlq = $dbPDO-> prepare ("INSERT INTO search SET search_term =: search_term, search_count =: search_count, client_id =: client_id, search_date = NOW()");
    $sqlq-> bindValue ("search_term", $queryset);
    $sqlq-> bindValue ("search_count", $search_count);
    $sqlq-> bindValue ("client_id", CLIENT_ID, PDO::PARAM_INT);
    try {}
    $sqlq-> execute();
    } catch (PDOException $e exception)
    {echo $e ;}
    }

  • KB972260 failure

    Hello

    I'm trying to update my vista basic 32-bit but mentionned Ko never installs. I tried to use Windows update (I always get an error 80070570 code), and I also tried to download it and running it standalone, to no avail.
    Here's my WindowsUpdate.log. Any idea to fix it?
    Thank you

  • Battery vs soft fingers v5-572pg

    Hey there, freefolks!

    Got A V5-572PG of use very very casual. Exhaustion of the batteries has reached 5% last time I checked.

    I come to the forum of the Russian community of acer and always try to solve my problems out there, but this is not enough, however. So, recently, I installed new mSATA SSD, before her, I tried to apply some new grease to keep cool. Everything I've done has been very soft and according to the instructions of the guide service and wikihow. To sum up, I disconnected battery, while the fans, then did just what I need, but soon ran out of time and had to go to the next day. All mounted up with the gentlest way world ever seen. Plugged in the charger cord (cause the last time I remember it was low on battery), turned on, he began to prepare updates and other things, after half an hour or so it started normally from my old HDD. I checked the battery level to 81% and plugged the cord. Laptop turned off instantly as if he were not at all portable. I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. Double check that the battery is connected never was, in this case over again - nothing. Plugged the cord - he started, connected to the wide - no miracles and he died instantly. Battery, reconnected, said its 81%. He gave the next day while feeding at night. Checked today - 81% and no play without the power cord.

    I also tried things like disabling battery and pressing the button for 20 seconds, check battery drivers and all, no miracles happened this day.

    And also, cordless phone shows no life at all, a solid brick and no indicator light flashing in any case.

    While the cable is connected, the indicator shows orange light which says that its loading. But the battery seems to not let the energy our or in any case.

    Cannot provide you with a screenshot of English at the same time, but I bet that you will get the same words with your feelings.

    There's something blocking battery button/trigger (?) which is just above the battery itself, it must be depressed while the rear of the farm of the laptop, but in my case it did not.

  • ESXi 4.1 upgrade 5.1 in a Dell EqualLogic environment?

    Hi all, I am planning to upgrade our guests ESXi4.1 U1 to ESXi 5.1 Dell R610.  We use a PS6100E EqualLogic via iSCSI.  I installed 5.1 vCenter and prepared Update Manager with the image of Dell Custom ESXi 5.1, thinking that it would contain all the necessary drivers/modules.  However, after analysis of my ESXi hosts, I get the following caveat (see attachment).  Anyone has done an upgrade from 4.1 to 5.1 in a Dell EqualLogic environment?  I'm not warm and fuzzy about the procedure taking into account the warning.  Thank you!

    Hello

    There is no requirement for reconfiguration of re - install MEM after the upgrade.  It lies on the existing configuration as before.

    My personal preference is to uninstall 3rd party before the upgrade applications to make the cleaner process.  I don't know problem to upgrade to 1.1.2 and then the ESX upgrade, I have not tried it personally.

  • What the F *! What is c?

    I was upgrade to windows 8 pro for windows 8.1 pro with the help of store. It was almost full, and he showed "Preparing update".
    then AUTOMATICALLY returned at 0% download.
    He showed the messages as follows: -.

    1: Windows updates, please try again in a few minutes.
    2nd: update found. Repeat the installation.
    3rd: Windows cannot complete the installation because something happened.

    Then, the update started AGAIN from 1% download.

    My internet speed is 10 Mbps, I had to wait 3 days it ends and then all of a sudden, all of my time and the work is LOST.

    I have been using a Mac for the last 4 years. I always thought that Microsoft was not good. Then my friend suggested I switch to windows 8 pro and now I feel guilty for me.

    Please please please help me in this month because I, too, write a report on "Microsoft Windows: your Opinion. If my problem is not resolved, I will write a report AGAINST her.

    Kind regards.

  • This process scheduler tables to save before a refresh?

    We are on tools 8.53, FSCM 9.1 Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012

    We prepare update a database. The target has two balanced process shedulers load and the source has only one. We want to make sure that task scheduler process for the target configuration remains the same. We want to export tables into DM and then import them after the update.

    What would be the tables to export, so we can restore the exact configuration after the update?

    Hello

    Please check the mvprdexp.dms starting from the scripts folder and the Scheduler process table section. You should get all the table process scheduler.

    Thank you

  • SAN only for VM Disaster Recovery replication

    I am part of the talks for a recovery site that will not be replicated SAN data warehouses. So, we have an essentially empty ESXi environment with LUNS replicated data store. In the case of a DR, the plan would be to start the import of virtual machines in the DR ESX environment. I've never seen replication strict SAN has offered as a solution of Dr. ignore the logistics around IP, naming, etc. I want to focus on the consistency of the VMs who grew up and which have been replicated like that.

    1. My hypothesis is that the system VMs would probably upward in a consistent state of failure. Is that correct or could I do not affirm the VM would be healthy at all.
    2. If the virtual machine is running, I guess that the integrity of any application or DB data on these virtual machines would be suspect.

    As I said, I never considered this scenerio. Most of the solutions I've seen using an application layer to maintain compatibility in different time intervals. Just curious if anyone has had experience with this kind of recovery.

    vmproteau wrote:

    Just curious if anyone has had experience with this kind of recovery.

    Hi vmproteau,

    This works perfectly.  I made thousands of these movements of the virtual machine in a uniform way down with a success rate of 100%.  The portability that we all talk about is real.  He works for me very well since 2005 when I started with EMC SRDF.  I also had great success with SnapMirror of NetApp.  If you have any kind of enterprise storage, you should be fine.  In addition, modern guest operating systems are extremely resistant to crash-compatible power (i.e. 2008 R2 is a dream come true).  In addition, I have never had a problem with NT 4.0, 2000 or 2003 in my data center migrations or exercises of DR.

    Nowadays, most DBAs use something like SQL LiteSpeed and Idera to create local backups on of additional vmdk attached to the virtual machine.  If a recovery of a painting is necessary for example, they can obtain this granular coverage using these products.  Yet once again, I never had a problem with SQL put online following a crash-consistent (i.e. test DR, moving to DC or power event HA).  Of course, YMMV and you must test for your specific environment.

    With respect to the RPO, it is to you to determine how often the table performs the replication.  More often = more money, of course.  You can also get more granular on the SQL backup points.  For many, a backup per day is fine.  Others take Idera SQL backups every 15 minutes for example (a slight exaggeration!).

    On OTN... The biggest risk for your RTO is the lack of organization and preparation (update document and books run scripts!).  In addition, having good PMs to manage the application mapping and interdependencies is essential.  You'd be surprised to know how many tests application fails due to host files, order DNS or boot of VMS (i.e. Ideally you should show AD/DNS, then SQL, then App, then Web).  Practice makes perfect.  PowerCLI is your friend here.

    Unless the plan is to re - ip, this place DR must be built as totally isolated with dedicated physical Firewall (or many sessions of sniffer and excellent ACL).  If you choose SRM (as it should!), a large part of this risk is avoided since you can test in the bubble.  Many companies bit on correct insulation and end up hurting prod during the test.  Don't, don't.  Physical Citrix is particularly vulnerable to this and is often required for DR since many apps is published exclusively via Citrix.  Often, the Citrix server will eventually be multihomed (so the company doesn't have to pay for additional SQL and Citrix license servers, etc.) and will be riding the Prod and isolated environments.  The default behavior is that the Citrix user will get the same routing as the underlying Citrix server so the risk is that they can connect by mistake for prod.  You must study it well.

    Not to mention that Citrix, other considerations ensure good VPN and other mechanisms on the DR site (which will be used for actual testing of isolated app and DR).  Have several new hubs according to the needs and requirements of the network.  This, along with time, often being saved at the end, but are important to your success and should be reviewed as soon as possible.  In addition, to maintain the volumes that you both own (i.e. no laggard vmdk who are orphans, etc.).  Use scripts to check RVTools or Vsante to remain vigilant on this.  What get is replicated on the other side should be clean.  Only what you need.  Each vmx that is there should be one that gets recorded.

    Anyway, with the replication table, this project should be a slam dunk.  Don't worry so much the market crash-compliant of your guests.  It works.

  • TM taped preparation backup after update for Sierra

    My MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2015) is incapable of me past the stage of "prepare the backup...". "after the update to Mac OS Sierra after 3 days. Other posts on this topic are pointing the finger at Sophos. I have disabled the software, and the system is still not able to go beyond the stage "preparation".

    I was able to save on a USB - although it took much longer that usual (I have two backup methods).

    Then, I removed the network location of the TM preferences and tried to restore again. However, the system fails in the final step of adding the network drive in the preferences. So I am only left with the ability to backup to a disk physically connected only. This is very bad and I am disappointed that Apple doesn't have a case KB already open on this.

    Problems after update to MacOS Sierra:

    1 TM fails backup backups existing network regardless (of Sophos or otherwise).

    2 TM fails to create a new backup of network location

    3 TM works with a physical backup drive connected locally.

    It has been several days after the release of MacOS Sierra: I'm waiting for Apple even recognize a situation which is detrimental to the users.
