Processor and internal hard drive upgrade advice
First here's all the specifications of my computer. HP Touchsmart 310 1125 y. 8 GB of RAM is the only change that I've done so far.
Here are the specifications of mobo as well.
For the processor, I am interested in upgrading to
OK now my question is being the 65w TDP my computer will be compatible with it? Also with this processor I'll be able to tell the difference between the 2 or is even worth the hassle? Another thing, this processor will be too fast for the other components of my computer? I'm new to all this, so, be liberal with your advice...
Regarding the upgrade of the internal drive I mentioned. This computer would benefit from that? I have a 750 GB hard drive at the moment, but I use hardly any of this. I know that the SSD computers of the give a boost enormous speed but I don't know if it's 1 compatible with this desktop computer market.
Thank you very much in advance for any advice!
I would not bother with this upgrade of the processor. If you do, he's going for a Quad Core or at least a Triple Core, and frankly even it's not going to be really noticeable except in some programs like Photoshop and a few others that are put in place to take full advantage of more 2 processor cores.
Yes by all means the SSD is the way to go. See pages 15 to 17 of this manual of hard drive replacement instructions:
You will need a 2.5 inch adapter 3.5 inches, but those who are easy to find and you can use any SATA SSD on the market.
I like this one:

What version of vista OS x 14-39682
I can read 25 characters of Vista on the coa sticker numbers, but the name of the version of windows has dissipated. The hard drive is unreadable and dead. I have another hard drive and the number, but I don't know which version of Windows Installer. The number, I can read is 00148-128-072-097 and the other is x 14-39682.
The 14-39682 X is the part number of your copy of Windows Vista and it is Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 OEM.

Can I upgrade to vista without deleting my xp programs and files?

Can I upgrade to vista without deleting my xp programs and files? I don't want to lose my programs/files downloaded, but I don't want to argue with remove them and reinstall later
Yes, you can perform an upgrade "On the spot" and all your personal data and software applications will be available in Vista (provided that they are compatible Vista).
As always, you should create a backup Image in XP before you begin the upgrade, just in case. Also check that you still have your XP product key. If this isn't the case, then use one of the below product key finders.

I bought Lightroom 5 of B & H Photo a few months ago and since then have now upgraded computers. This new computer doesn't have a hard drive and I can't figure out how to download it on my new computer. I must not have created an Adobe account when I initially purchased and downloaded on my other computer. How can I still download it if the serial number does not appear in my plans and products page? I still have the drive and everything that came with it.
Hello
Please download the Lightroom 5 application from the link below.

Re: Satellite Pro A300-1EA: can I use faster and bigger HARD drive?
So this may seem like a stupid question, but if I intend to spend of the installed 160 GB 5400 RPM HDD of the Satellite Pro A300 1EA to a 7200 RPM drive HARD (do not know the ability yet) and I was wondering how to make recovery disks (downgrade from Vista professional and XP Professional) coming with the work of the laptop with the HARD disk that does not part of factory as drives for my understanding restore the system...
The size of the drive HARD replacement has something to do with the thing?
If the replacement HARD drive is also 160 GB system see the difference? And even if it was smaller or larger the system see the difference?I have not even bought the laptop but will soon and it is a little urgent.
Computer thanks Fellows ahead! :)
* Oh... It seems that this question has already been answered... a little research has ever killed forum person huh... but if someone has vital information about the issue... Please let me know! :)*

Hello
I think that he should t be a problem with an upgrade to a faster and bigger HARD drive.
But before you switch the HARD disk, you must create the Toshiba Recovery DVD using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
After the recovery disk has been created, you can move the hard drives.Best regards

Can I move the files I want to save on the other hard drive and install Win7 on the main HD instead of buy an external HD as the instructions State?
I have an old Dell XPS410 with 2 GB of RAM and two HDs. The only thing I use the other HD for storage is (I am an artist and musician). The idea of having to save this HD set is terrifying for me right now there are about 350 GB worth of songs made with reason and images and web graphics made with Photoshop. The last thing I want to do is lose this kind of things. The 2nd HD was added long after I initially bought the computer, and I have never re-installed the system since the 2nd HD has been added.
A custom install of Win7 would also remove the info on the second HD?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Move your songs during the second drive unit. Then turn off the computer and unplug the data cable from the second drive unit. This will leave only the drive that you want to install Windows 7 on connected and nothing on the second disc will be safe.
Custom installation (which is your only option when upgrading Windows XP will however require that you all you reinstall applications (including Photoshop), so locate all your installation media and product keys.)

How can I copy an .exe file of the winow downloads on my hard drive?
the header is the question
"How can I copy an .exe file of the winow downloads on my hard drive?
If the file is always displayed in the Download Manager window, then you can use open folder on the shortcut menu. If this entry is grayed out then the file is no longer at this location to download. Possible causes are cleaning software or anti-virus that deleted the file.

After you import an image (.jpeg) file for the Photos on my Mac app, can I safely delete this image file to save space on my hard drive?
Yes, you can remove the file from the imported image, if you have imported the image as managed. IE preferences in ave Photos settled on "import: copy items to the photo library" being the default.

The upgrade on Pavilion 9667ea hard drive to SSD
I think the upgrade my computer laptop 9667ea Pavilion by replacing the first hard drive of 160 GB with an SSD, as the Cruicial M500 240 GB SATA 111, or similar.
Could you tell me if there are problems in doing this, because I see no other posted messages it may be according to the model of your laptop?
I advanced and bought the SSD (Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB), which has been installed on the HP Pavilion dv9667ea. Everything went well and I used the Samsung software cloning with the SSD drive (I backed up the C drive beforehand). I have power and data cables, so I need just the package base. The new 250 GB SSD drive replaces the original 160 GB hard drive, I decided to take out the other drive so hard 160 GB. The laptop is much faster at startup and is also faster by using the programs on the laptop. As there are now no hard drives on the laptop, there is now virtually no fan noise, which was inconvenient.
Thank you for your advice.
