• Have a Pavillion DV ^-3250us, Win 7, 64 Bit. WIFI does not illuminate

  Wireless won't turn on; wired connection is fine.

  HP wireless Asst says that the wireless is activated by the keyboard. Steady orange light & does not illuminate.

  If I turn off the power & remove the battery, I can get a blue light when I turn on the PC.

  But then the PC wants to update the driver.  When she did this, the problem returns.

  Before replacing the BIOS, I decided to try something less drastic.

  (Always to play with the BIOS that makes me sick at heart)

  I noticed that the driver installation always fails.

  But before the boot process that took well to the long, I noticed that I could turn the wireless card on & turn off with the F12 key.

  But once the initialization is completed, the card might be disabled.

  Therefore, I have concluded that the material of the wireless card was probably good.

  Then, I deleted the driver and let Windows update select the BIOS install.

  The next round of selected SW another update driver to install; and now everything works.

  So something must have gotten corrupted and caused the wrong driver to settle.

  I had the same problem.  It's as if the OS could not initialize the WiFi radio.  WiFi went to check gray, then deleted after having turned it on.

  I jumped to the dough and restarted.  The problem disappeared.

  FOR INFO. This is the forum of the HP users not a hotline of HP On-call. You start F8 safe mode to see if you can get your data back and it looks like your HARD drive is dying a you replace it and buy the HP REcovery disk to restore to the installed at the factory. Otherwise, you will need to take to a computer store to help with your problem here.

  HI, I just bought a T41 2373 7FU and can't do the adapter to power wireless Vista light is lit, but the software says that it is not on and I can't connect to anything I tried just use windows to manage the wireless, I also downloaded the driver from Intel, as well as with the regular vista driver.   Personally, I would be upgrading the card, they are cheap enough now...

  Neither of these should be fine with Vista and will give better performance in XP/Linux as well:

  39 T 0071 (IBM/Atheros a/b/g)

  93 P 3483 (Intel 2200 BG)

  These are original that have been installed in T4x series maps when they were new, just take the number FRU I provided in Google or eBay... also, search engine you get more security with latest maps options.

  You can always update your firmware with iTunes. But it seems you might have a larger, likely hardware problem with your phone.

  Try to restore the firmware with iTunes. If this does not help, make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store.

• Capsule WiFi does not

  A year and half ago we bought a new Mac and the Time Capsule (TC) to go with it. I tried to set up at the start and think about this topic, I do not think that it has never worked properly. I say this because we got a new modem without router because time Capsule has an inside, and we are unable to connect to wifi. I have a TB Ethernet connection and if I can get online in this way, but the WiFi does not work. Last night, I went through and set up and the WiFi worked, but today it no longer works and I can't seem to do it again.

  The indication of WiFi signal says I'm connected, on my Mac and on our phones, but when you disconnect from data it no longer works. It's very frustrating because I don't want to have to go back to a modem/router of the rental of our cable company.

  We have just upgraded to OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

  I'm pretty confident that the problem is with time capsule, the wifi works with the other router.

  When it worked last night I created everything from scratch. But I do not think that I would have to do every time I need to use the internet. I also tried to create a WiFi with a custom DNS but that doesn't work anymore.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I am so embarrassed but understand that I would update in the case where everyone does the same thing.

  When I put in 1.5 years ago I went from ethernet cables. The Ethernet cable from the modem was connected to the LAN port and the Ethernet cable from the Mac was connected to the WAN. Once I put the cable from the modem to the WAN everything has worked.

  Sometimes, just come back to square one.

  Try to zap the PRAM or reset the SMC.
