Presario F700: Presario F 64 bit OS

I would like to know if I can improve this to 64-bit operating system in order to use 4 GB of RAM.

This model, Presario F700 ships with Vista 32 and is announced as being only able to use 2 Gig of RAM - is - this due to the OS or hardware recognize 4 GB if the OS is a 64-bit... Win 7 64, for example?

Thanks in advance... chuck50

Older SSDS work OK... your laptop is in the new generation of the F700 so the chipset does support native SATA, SATA-150 (slower) only I believe.

  • Display driver has stopped working and has recovered

This is my first post, so please bear with me. Also although I use pc a lot, I'm not technical interest. I have a laptop Compaq presario CQ61 64-bit Windows 7.  2 days ago the screen went suddenly "speckly" flickered then briefly became black. On forward "normal service resumed" but a message "display driver stopped working and got ' came then disappeared. I was watching BBCiplayer in time if this is useful. Since then, the problem has re occurred several times and I had to reboot a couple of times. I don't do any game at all, just browse some sites regularly then use Skype for an hour a day.  I thought everything was good today as the portable performed normally for a long time, then did it again! Can anyone help (in terms of simple fool) Please? Thank you very much

    An update conflict is possble.

It is likely, too, that just reinstall the driver - if necessary update or just reinstall the current version - can solve this problem, if the software is at the origin of the problem.  Sometimes the drivers are dynamited by the updates and can be cured by be reinstalled after the fact.

Good luck!  Post back with your results, if you like, and let us know how you fare.

I suggest you download theZTE MF627 dongle drivers on the system and check if the problem is resolved.

If this is not the case, unfortunately the drivers for ZTE MF112 are unavailable and you may need to contact 3 dongles for additional help. Click on the link below.

At startup and recovery mode standby, the system is very slow. Resource Monitor reveals a cyclic 100% CPU usage where the main user is described as system & the NT kernel. This cycle is of almost zero use at 100% and repeat every 15 seconds approximately. The system will stabilize eventually, but this may take between 10 minutes and an hour.

Using msconfig, I disabled all services not MS, but the problem persists.

scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy

    Hello

You're PC has only a hard - drives C and D, you see listed are just on a physical hard disk partitions.

The player at the link below is an example of one who would be a suitable substitute.

    500 GB SataII hard drive.

A guide to replace the hard drive (including a video preview) can be found here.

Once the reader is installed, you will need to use your recovery disks to reinstall the operating system on the new hard drive - see the document at the link below on this topic.  This will also recreate the D partition on your new drive.

    Reinstalling Windows.

If you don't have these disks, you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below.

    Hi, Professor and other experts

Would you be able to confirm that a 64-bit Windows 7 can be installed on this Presario C310tu if aware of the CPU is changed to a compatible 64-bit, even though he is running a 32-bit o/system?

Is ther other compatibility issues to consider?  If I find more information about this, I'll let you know.

    You are the very welcome.

There is no 64-bit processors that will work in the motherboard that has your PC.

If you want to run a 64-bit operating system, you will need to get a PC newer than this one.

  • Compaq Presario CQ60-210US lab: the laptop Compaq Presario CQ60-210US does support Windows 7 64-bit OS

Hello.  I know for my brother, if his Compaq Presario CQ60-210US laptop that is running Vista 32-bit operating system, can be upgraded to a 64-bit version/edition of Windows 7, 8.1/8 or 10?   As stated, the laptop OS is Vista 32 bit, and I think that's Vista Home Premium, but I'm not sure.  It has 4 GB of RAM, which is the maximum for a 32 bit OS.   I realize that you can do an upgrade on the spot of a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit OS and it will take a clean install, but nobody knows if material of this laptop, BIOS etc supports 64-bit operating systems?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It is my opinion, to you, you can run 64-bit or 32-bit. Sogtware much still run as 32-bit anyway.

  • Compaq Presario F700 laptop - replacement of Ethernet (NIC)

    Hi all!

I have recently switched to my laptop to XP. I had the hardest time finding drivers for the LAN.  So I finally found them and now the connection is always limited or no connectivity when connected via ethernet.

I tried to release and renew the IP address, but the system is unable to renew it through CMD.  My internet works fine with my other two computers.  I used the same ethernet cable connected to this computer to my laptop and they are all lead to limited connectivity or not.

I think that the NETWORK card must be replaced, but I can't find the replacement part number.  I don't see the number for the WLAN.  Could this be the same room?  I don't think so, because the wireless is fine, it's just the connection to the LAN which I seem to have a problem with.  I see not even where I can access the bottom of the laptop ethernet card.

I received the spare part of this thread - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/Compaq-Presario-F700-Laptop-NIC-Replacement/td-p/1639...

Anyone know what part I need to replace the LAN ethernet, not wifi adapter?  (unless they are the same, want to make sure before order).

    Thank you!

    Hello:

To replace the ethernet card, you will need to replace the motherboard together.

The link you mentioned (which I answered the way back when), was to replace the wireless network card.

I recommend that you just buy an adapter USB to RJ-45 ethernet until you buy a new PC.

If your laptop has an amd processor, XP driver you should use.

    Hello:

You must manually install the driver Windows XP to get the graphics to work.

Presario sr2030nx had xp media center edition, I've updated to win 7ultimate 64 bit. my dvd player says he has a few drivers disabled

There was a pop up on all drivers must be signed, as an unknown device is lack of both pilots.

Please help me find a solution, thank you.

That particual error happens because of pilot missing generally regarded as 'Away Mode Driver'

Here's what I copied THIS post

    Explanation I understand

AMD away mode is a measure of the implementation of some energy-saving AMD processors. It is a measure not very well known and the reason the PC is slowly put one out of State a device at the same time leaving a PC race that looks like it is off. Not a very good idea!
Drivers were provided by a card mother manufacturers were also built in Vista, they are not provided with Windows 7 x 64 and as I already mentioned Gigabyte.
No no not this driver does not affect the performance of the PC
