Presario V6000TX CTO Sata drivers

We had a hard drive failure and I replaced the internal drive.

When you try to load XP Professional, it does not detect the HD and I need to put on a floppy disk sata drivers.

Unfortunately, I can't find the sata drivers on the HP site and HP will not help because the product is no longer under warranty.

Someone at - it a link to the sata drivers for the XP installation wizard?

Thank you!

    Hello

I need to know if my PC Compaq Presario C700 CTO Notebook is running in RAID or AHCI mode because of problems with a driver Intel Matrix Storage Manager (IMSM).  The Read Me text file in the menu start > all programs > intel Matrix Storage Manager folder said if my system works in RAID or AHCI mode determines if my computer needs this driver.

For the past month, my computer stops and restarts with a blue screen and message when the desktop appears as a message. (The blue screen does not last long enough to read.)  The message is always the same except one I had yesterday which is described at the end of this post.

"Windows has stopped unexpectedly. '.  The details are:

    Signature of the problem:

    A solution:

Problem with the Intel IMSM driver.

Intel IMSM driver has stopped working properly.

Press or click on to download the update on the site of ASUS computer.

I several times installed upgrading after the blue screen event ever.  The download is an application called V8.9.2.1002_logo_Win7Vista3264.exe.

The Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver is not in the list of devices in Device Manager > show hidden devices.  I found information on the HP site indicating how do I know if my computer has the driver, because I thought that maybe it has not been installed correctly.  I found the Intel Matrix Storage Manager program folder in the start menu > new programs.  I can't know what version it is.  Reading tells Me to text file in the folder to open the Device Manager and search for specific controllers SATA RAID and SATA AHCI controllers.  If not in the list then it appears that my OS is not running in two modes.  I can't find these devices in the list, but the Read Me text file advises me to contact the manufacturer in case of doubt.  My warranty has expired, so I'm here asking for help.

When I use the HP product detection analysis to try to automatically scan for driver updates, it reads my product incorrectly.   Running the tool has sometimes followed by a crash and blue screen.

I do not remember the changes that I made at the time when the events of the blue screen started to happen.  There was an event yesterday blue screen and the message on the desk said a problem with the HP Recovery Manager and backup.   He advised me to install an update from the HP website.  The link did not open so I downloaded the version 4.0.100.1189sp39296.exe of HP update.  I've also updated my graphics driver.

I would be grateful if someone could help me solve this problem.   I'm worried about damaging my computer.

    Hello:

First of all your needs from laptop to have the hardware (CPU and chipset) Intel to run the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

Your C700 CTO may have either hardware Intel or an AMD/Nvidia chipset so I can't tell you what your laptop has.

You can tell however, and you can tell what mode of the controller to your PC is currently running (AHCI or RAID).

If you have PC, go into the Device Manager and if you have a category of an ATA/ATAPI IDE controller based on an Intel processor, click to expand that and if your laptop is running in AHCI mode, the controller will have the AHCI word in the description of the controller.

If your mobile phone is set to RAID (which I doubt), scroll down further on the Device Manager list, and there would be a category of storage controllers if the command is set to RAID.

Click to expand, and you would see a description of disk with the word inside RAID controller.

I've tried three different amd drivers in lists drivers and its method

    Important notes:

    1. In Nlite, choose Insert -> multiple driver folder option
    2. Select ONLY x 86 driver for AMD SATA AHCI when asked.
    3. Never choose x 64 driver questioned

  • Need SATA drivers to install Windows XP Home on my Tecra A8

I want to downgrade my A8 - 103 to Win XP, but probably will need SATA drivers (and floppy) when installing (F6), but can't find where to download the SATA/RAID drivers for my model?

    Hello

To my knowledge that the Tecra A8 does not support RAID.
It supports the interface ATA (SATA) series.
But these drivers do not exist on the page of Toshiba. The operating system should include the Sata drivers or you'll get it on the Intel page.

The XP must support all service packs. If your XP includes all the patches and SP, you can create a bootable CD of windows with an application called nLite. Check it!

  • Satellite P100-188: recovery CD will install the SATA drivers on a blank HARD drive

I was wondering if someone could tell me if my recovery disk would be automatically installs the drivers for SATA HDD on my P100-188, in the case of a hard drive failure total without needing a floppy drive.

I've never had to use my recovery disc (touch wood), but I have the impression that it works in conjunction with a hidden partition on the hard drive in order to reinstall the operating system if and when necessary, I am not mistaken? If I'm so what happens if the hard drive is destroyed and a new disk? A

s Windows is not integrated SATA drivers I've read on the Internet that would stop dead in its tracks installation if you do not have a diskette at hand drive.

Someone had to deal with this problem?

    Hello

Yes, the restore CD installs everything you need in a single step.

The point is that the Toshiba Recovery CD is not the same as an original CD of MS Windows. The restore CD contains an image. It s a Pack that included OS Win, Toshiba drivers, utilities and software tools extra.

So, using the CD recovery will install all the applications mentioned, as well as the SATA drivers ;)

    Welcome them

  • Impossible to downgrade Satellite L305-S5957 for XP with integrated SATA drivers

Hey everybody. You just bought a L305-S5957 today with preinstalled Vista. I tried to install it on XP with the drivers slipstreamed SATA, but it doesn't seem to work. I always get a BSOD after everything loads.

I am trying to install the version of XP is Chinese simplified XP with SP3. I tried to "slipstreaming" twice using two different SATA drivers with nLite: v8.9.1023 (last ones on the Intel site) & v8.0.0.1039 (those available on the Toshiba site for my model). Both times by selecting the appropriate chipset (ICH8-M & variants) for integration.

However, two SATA drivers not and don't seem to not work. What happened after that pilots of trying to load during the installation of XP, I get a BSOD. The BSOD reads: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). It seems to be the typical BSOD due to the failure to load the SATA drivers for AHCI mode.

So, what suggestions guys do you have? Should I eventually use "(IDE) compatibility" mode in the BIOS instead of AHCI?

I really have no idea why it does not work. Many models in the past, I have integrated SATA drivers successfully. It gives me a hard time.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I guess you used the Toshiba page for download.
I took a look on the US page and found the Intel Robson Technology Driver for Windows XP (v8.0.0.1039, 31/10/2008; 22 M) and the installation tool XP F6 ACHI (v8.0.0.1039, 2008-10-31, 230 K)

    What have you tried?

As I know that Intel Robson is a complete package that contains the SATA drivers as well but the F6 ACHI XP installation tool should contain the same files.

However, you should compare the files in both packages!

Usually the installation of Win XP using settings AHCI and SATA drivers should always work but of course, you could install Win XP using compatibility mode without the integration of the SATA driver.

PS: maybe you can try to install Win XP in compatible mode. Then after installing XP, try to install the package Intel Robson and opt for the AHCI mode after that I have not very good if it will work but it s m worth a try!

  • Re: Satellite L300 - how to reinstall the SATA drivers?

    Hi all

I have a L300 I downgraded to XP. It runs with the SATA controller in compatibility mode and are sent here a lot, it's slow.

I read you need drivers intel for her and so I downloaded the and down them and had an error "your computer does not minimum requirements.

Tried in both safe mode and got the same error.

Now I could try to use nlite and I've used it before, but the file I have is an executable and not an inf and files related to a driver, so I don't know how to add it to nlite. I'd rather do not re - load again if possible.

So the simple question is how I install the AHCI SATA drivers so I don't have to run in compatibility mode.

    Thank you

  • Satellite L100 - need SATA drivers to install Win XP

    Hello world!

I need your help... This is my story.

There was a time when I need to reformat the computer laptop satellite L100 and a XP cd is used instead the recovery disc, I'm too dense to know.
When I found out about the use of the recovery disc, I tried to boot from it, and I've seen the menu which gives me the chance to restore the configuration of the laptop, but I didn't move because I didn't really need to reformat the way at the time.

After a while, (again), I need to reformat, but the problem is, claims the installation from the toshiba raid recovery disk drivers.
That's happened? and what do I do?

I have read a few forums and they propose to change the SATA mode in the BIOS options, but I can't find it in the laptop, you I saw in the other computer toshiba laptop. How can I change the SATA mode in the L100 laptop?

I also read that I have raid drivers must be copied to a floppy disk, in which I don't have an external floppy drive.
Is it possible that I can install it without pressing F6 or something, which is on the Windows desktop? Or I can save it on a USB flash drive?

    Thank you!

    Hello

First the SATA mode option is not available in the L100 BIOS, so you cannot change this mode compatible.

Secondly, you n t need the floppy drive to install the SATA drivers.
If you had read several threads here you would like to know that you can also use the software called nLite that would help you to integrate the SATA drivers into Win XP.
This application creates the new Win XP with SATA drivers, and you can use this CD to reinstall windows XP.

I wonder why the Intel Storage Manager was not placed on the page of the European driver Toshiba in the region however, L100 driver download as mentioned, the Intel Matrix Storage Manager contains the SATA drivers and you need this package.

You can search in other series of laptops such as the Intel Storage Manager or looking for on Intel page and it would download.
Then as I ve mentioned use the nLite and include the SATA drivers.

More details about nLite you will find on the page of nLite: http://www.nliteos.com/

    Hi MartynB_1,

The SATA drivers, you can download on the official website of Toshiba and the driver is called Intel Storage Manager.
But you must extract the files first until you can use them.

Here's an interesting article on this subject:

  • How to load the SATA drivers during the installation of XP - Satellite L40-18 X?

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite L40-18 X with Vista Home OS. Now, I want to install Windows XP, I know that I have to reinstall the SATA drivers, but I can't find USB-drive floppy-disk drive.

I was wondering can I install these drivers of some other player, like a flash drive or external CD ROM

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

There are two options to load the SATA drivers.

As you know to load from a floppy drive, but if you n t have one, this isn't a problem.

Create your own Windows disk with nLite. nLite is a tool of suppression of configuration and Windows components before installation of your choice, but you can also integrate drivers, service packs, the settings and to this day.
It s a very nice tool and its freeware.
Here you can download and read how to create a disk:
