  I think I have the cause of your problem at this time. You use any of the term post in step of popup message. You can just have your expression of State. Whats playing is when you run the sequence when the 1st two steps fail and the step 3 passes, 3 step sets the Boolean RunState.SequenceFailed return to the fake.   FF constantly and across operating systems (I use many for most Linux distributions) fails to simply go back to the previous page when I press the button 'back' of the browser. He did it for months. Completely reset FF does not work, or not to empty the cache then restarting it manually.

  You can delete this folder to cancel the download.

  I changed the example that I gave you to LV8.0, but I have never used the option 'Save for the previous version' before, so I don't know if it will work.

  I have combined the start and stop of recording in a single button (just change the text to all what you need) and I used the 'value' property to pass the path between cases. The path can be formatted as you have in your version, don't forget to use the string conversion function filepath.

  Just in case where it doesn't work on your version of LV I've attached a screenshot of the block diagram.

  This example has nothing to do with the RETURN key specifically.  It fires all simply whenever the value of the control is changed.  If you click outside the text box or on another still controls the value changes and still the event is raised.  This is often the desired so if it works in your application, you good to go.

  You CAN ONLY answer a particular key if you wish.  Set your event to meet 'This VI' > key down.  Then, read the proposal Vcle on the left side of the structure of the event and compare it to the RETURN (for example).  The Boolean result of the comparison gets connected to a structure to deal with your code to run inside.  You can also wire Vcle directly to a case structure and execute different code based on which key was pressed last.
