• published swf missing the player controls

  SWF works, but NOT play the skin. Help?
  
  1. imported the .mov in Flash CS3, chose the skin, autoplay set to false
  2 film released to the root directory of the site > movies > salmon - everything is there (the skin, fla, flv, html, .js, thrown into the folder Scripts in movies > salmon just in case)
  3. open hero.htm in Dreamweaver CS3 page, insert > media > flash > salmon.swf
  4 loop and autoplay unchecked
  5. Preview in the browser = without playback controls, so I can't play the movie (BTW, if I had set autoplay = true in Flash, movie plays automatically, but once again, no skin game)
  6. double check the file appearance and all the rest is on my server in the appropriate folder
  7 swf plays FlvPlayer in Flash, and HTML generated by Flash AND look of the player watch
  
  Here again, the movies play fine if I select autoplay = yes in Flash, but still no controls.

  Thought to it - so for those who follow...

  Copy the skin file in the root directory where the page html and poof, the appearance of the player!

  I don't know why it must be in the root directory, when all the other files are in another folder, but that's it!

  Yes, I think that you can't really do much with the TOC design and layout, but I would like someone to prove me wrong... Maybe you could try to export a Captivate project finished flashing, edition of willingness to here and compile in Flash as you suggested, but I never had luck actually getting it to compile correctly. (I guess that this feature is only there to make you reach a roundabout idea of how things work). I just tested this out, and I don't think it puts even the reading/table of contents bar in the exported FLA, they seem to be separate.

  The other solution you suggested, having a wrapper shell 'accommodation' presentations is a good and it would be appropriate, but with a lot of work. However, you will need make the menu custom Flash which houses the s embedded SWF and find a way to control the internal variables of the SWF integrated to control reading/slides. (This is possible and are found elsewhere in this forum)

  The disadvantage would be that the only options available in the variables being access to slide numbers, you would have probably coloring edit and redo parts of the menu for each new project, you cannot access the names of slide of Dove.

  Hi frfxuser, the embedded player works the way you describe, but YouTube uses scripts to customize the player controls, so you would need a specific YouTube 'hack' to hide the application.

  One possible approach would be to use a Bookmarklet, which is a snippet of JavaScript that you can save on your bookmarks bar or Bookmarks Menu for quick access. The script can assign controls ' view: no ', then when you click on the new button, remove this rule so they show once again and you can return to normal.

  After clicking on pause, click on the bookmarklet to run the script on the page and hide the controls.

  You can return to the player by clicking on it, but if you want comprehensive controls, click on the bookmarklet button again to remove the hack of the page style.

  You can do with BlackBerry OS 7, but not in earlier versions.  In previous versions, you must change the video to be able to adapt the controls around him.

  I created several evaluations of software simulation. They work wonderfully.  However, when I publish in our LMS or preview tab in browser mode does not work properly.  It activates the drive bar and rewinds the interaction or if I turn off of the Player bar, it takes you up to the address bar in Internet Explorer.

  I searched the forums and found this a known issue.  I tried all the suggestions to edit AS3, the standard.htm files and the standard.js. I can't make it work right.  I'm not a coder and read these messages totally frustrated me. I don't know where these files to add these lines of code.  I'm about to have a nervous breakdown because we need start to use these evaluations to test new cars and my manager is anxious to have these upward and running.  I don't know how to fix this or create a workaround solution.  Someone help me please.

  I'm not sure of the TAB key in particular, but open the Control Panel Accessibility Options and see if the boxes checked.  If so, uncheck the and restart.

• Insert 4 spaces instead of a tab after pressing the tab key?

  I set the indent with 4 spaces in code format and it works fine when I press "ENTER". But DW still insert a tab rather than 4 spaces when I press "TAB". The results is all my codes have being full of spaces and tabs that make my codes control management tool (Mecurial) confused.
