prevent installation of plugins

I brought my dad a new PC and three months later was to do a complete reset of windows because he doesn't know how to navigate the Internet. It has infected by malware, causing errors in software and the origin of some Win 8 corrupt files where the blue screens of death began to appear. All except malicious software has been removed and the unremoveable was one of those persistent who keep himself reinstall as a browser plugin.
What I need to know is how do we keep the possibility to download and install firefox plugins. I install a basic secondary account (a standard user without administrator privileges), install the family filter windows 8.1 and the family of own internet security for two layers of protection software, but I can't prevent firefox to download/install new plugins. How can I cannot add plugins unless permission is granted? The fact that firefox (I use 29.0.1) may install plugins when I block installation software configuration of the user account is a security risk for me.

    Suggestion:

Turn off User Account Control (UAC).
    Try to install.
If it works, please make sure you turn UAC.

    Where is the UAC:

Start button > Control Panel > column on the left, select Classic view > user accounts > select user accounts enable or disable > uac prompt > uncheck "use account control...". "

The only solution I found to work so far is:

-Start by Eclipse 3.4 installation from scratch, i.e. no previous component installed

    1. download the stand-alone Installer JDE plugin and install it from outiside of the eclipse.

(as of 08/08/2009 this stand-alone Installer JDE contains 4.5 component pack)

    2. download the 4.6 and 4.7 component packs

    3. from Eclipse update installation first component 4.6 software pack and restart Eclipse

    4. from software Eclipse update install component pack 4.7 and restart Eclipse

5 configure your Blackberry workspace to use 4.7 component packl

Twice in the last week, I visited a site and the next thing I know that zonealarm question whether access should be granted to an exe! I picked up xp antivirus 2011 malware, simply by clicking on a link from google.

To remove scan takes about 4 hours. At the time when firefox came first, a sales feature was that it wouldn't install the software in your system without your permission. This seems not have now been circumvented and I would be grateful if someone could give me advice on what I should do to prevent what is happening a third time?

    Hello emc8

Try to use the Microsoft FixIt tool to uninstall applications. Microsoft FixIt can help when programs do not want to install or uninstall.
    1. download from the link below and run it. (Note for each program, you will need to rerun the Microsoft FixIt tool)
    2. asked about if you want to choose options or run automatically, choose "automatically".
    3. the next thing he'll ask is if the problem you are having with the install or uninstall. Select uninstall.
4 Microsoft FixIt will then list all the programs currently installed, and you can select the one you want to uninstall. Start with what ever you prefer.
    5. it should then proceed to uninstall the program. If you get the same message of error or an other error message / let me know.

  • Photoshop CC 2015 - installation of plugins, modules, Extensions

    Hello

I use Photoshop CC last version (Windows 64 bit - 10). But I have the problem with the installation of the extensions; ASHLEY files. I have tried/read all discussions about this, again, again and again, I downloaded Adobe Extension Manager CC but it does not recognize my Photoshop so I could not even use it.

    What should I do?

    Hi preatone,

The CC extensions Manager is not compatible with Photoshop CC 2015, there is a work around that.

You can download the Photoshop CC 2014 and install the plugin on. Once done, run the Photoshop CC 2015 and you should see this plugin there.

Let us know if that helps.

    Kind regards

  • How can I prevent installation of McAfee GUARD during the Flash update?

I'm under Win8.0, Firefox 34.0.5. I have NO options when I select upgrade - I get a 'Save' option for downloading, after which I have to go to the download folder, select and run the .exe file that installs BOTH the Flash player AND McAfee software updated. I DON'T want McAfee and immediately uninstall it. How can I prevent its installation? Thank you!

The easiest way is to simply use Internet Explorer, Edge (for Win10) or Chrome, which bundle Flash Player as a component integrated on Win8 and higher, so there is never an installer to download, or an update to install (they are delivered via Windows Update or the update of Chrome, respectively).

For Firefox, you will need to uncheck the box for McAfee on the download page itself, after which you will get the installation program that is not group McAfee.  I posted much longer explanations on the subject, so I'm not going to come in here, but we invite you to look through my flow for a longer and more eloquent background.
