  Follow the steps below.

  Step 1:

  If logged in as an administrator, you can manually configure DEP between the OptIn and OptOut policies using the data execution prevention tab in system properties. The following procedure describes how to manually configure DEP on the computer:

  a. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl and then click OK.
  b. on the Advanced tab, under performance, click settings.
  c. on the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:
  * Click on turn on DEP for programs and Windows services only to select the OptIn policy.
  * Click on turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select to select the OptOut and then strategy click on add to add the programs that you do not use the DEP feature.
  d. click OK twice.

  It professionals can control DEP - the system-wide configuration using a variety of methods. The Boot.ini file can be modified directly with scripting mechanisms or with the Bootcfg.exe tool that is included in Windows XP SP2.

  Step 2:
  
  To configure DEP to switch to the AlwaysOn policy by using the Boot.ini file, follow these steps:

  a. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
  b. click on the Advanced tab, and then click settings under Startup and recovery field.
  c. in the system startup field, click on change. The Boot.ini file opens in Notepad.
  d. in Notepad, click find on the Edit menu.
  e. in the look for box, type / noexecute, and then click Next.
  f. in the dialog box search, click Cancel.
  (g) replace niveau_strategie by AlwaysOn.

  ATTENTION make sure that you enter the text accurately. The Boot.ini file switch is now:
  / noexecute = AlwaysOn
  h. in Notepad, click on save in the file menu.
  i. click OK twice.
  j. restart the computer.

• Prevent the date in the form of Acrobat

  Someone at - it a script I can use to prevent the user to enter a date prior to the current date in a date field. I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro. This looks like a simple validation script but I can't make it work at all. I tried this:

  I want to keep end users of appointments that overlaps with other appointments.

  I created this trigger:

  Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that protects against viruses and other security threats by analyzing your programs to make sure that they use the system safely memory.

  If you think that a program does not run correctly when DEP is enabled, check a program DEP compatible version or an update from the software publisher before you change your DEP settings.

  Change Data Execution Prevention settings

  (1) open system by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then click System.

  2) click on advanced system settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  (3) in the course of execution, click settings.

  4) click the Data Execution Prevention tab and then click on turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

  Method 1:  Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

  Follow step 1 in the link below,

  If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

  Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

• WJA - has no alerts - inaccuracies of data collection

  I've been running Web Jetadmin v10.2.7491B on a Server 2003 during approximately 3 years. There are 120 managed printers consisting of 9 different models.

  Question #1

  Initially, I got alerts configured on all printers that would send an email when a consumable fell below 3%. It worked very relibly for the first year. Over time, a growing number of printers stopped to send reports, until finally only a handful sent alerts. I never found the cause of this problem.

  Question #2

  Alerts being broken, I set up a collection of data daily for all printers and a csv morning emailed report. I then sort data in percentage of consumable remaining and replace those 1% or less. Recently, reports have stopped 3 models on 9 specific consumables percentages in daily reports. This problem seems to be with an update of the firmware that I pushed to all printers. The console does HOSTS shows specific information for individual printers when they are selected.

  Steps taken to solve #2

  Printers have been removed from all groups from the Collection of data from reports and then added. This has not solved the problem. Printers were originally added individually to a data collection, but I've set up a group policy that automatically adds a printer to the collection of data. 6 models of printers are still accurate percentages, but not the models 4345, 4730 and 5035.

  Is there a file database that I can delete that forces a rebuild of the collection of data for all printers? Is it possible that the new firmware for the 3 models listed has a bug which prevents update data?

  Thanks for the reply. I contacted WD's management, and they told me that it is a hardware problem.
  all HARD drive repair software ((many bad sectors)) spokesperson and they faled fixing it so I'm sure that the HARD drive needs to be replaced.

  Data validation cannot currently prevent the data actually saved.  (He has been asked several times.)  That said, you CAN prevent users to promote their data if the validation fails.

  NoInput sounds like the winner to me. This allows the existing data function 'normally' while preventing new data to get into those pesky end-users.

  I hope someone can help me... I'm new to form scripts. With my form, I am able to set the date range

  the user submits but when the user selects a date outside the range (3 days), the date is still permitted. How can I prevent any date

• How do I enter Catalyst Control Centre (ccc)?

  I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1130us notebook with Windows (64-bit) operating system and the processor AMD Turion x 2.  When I try to open up to "ccc", "advance ccc", "Assistant CCC', 'ccc aid' or"ccc by characteristic display", Windows opens and says: ' Catalyst Control Center: the host application has stopped working."  A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  When I click on the button to close the progam, DEP (data excution prevention) turns off.

  When I opened my event viewer, it is what it says: failed application CCC.exe, version 2.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49ef8e09, failed module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp, 0x00000000, exception 0xc0000005, offset 0 code x 0000000000000000, 0xf50, process id 0x01cd4e6d27078733 to start the application. When I go to the MS Technet support web page, it says that there is currently no article for this error Microsoft Knowledge Base.

  This problem can be fixed easily; Please goto programs and featuresand uninstall the AMD Catalyst Install Manager. Then please goto this site: http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx in the upper right corner of this site it states: SUPPORT AND DRIVERS;  and directly below is: find a driver Please highlight this area with your pointer to extend the window and launch: Autodetect driver drop down and click: Driver Autodetect this will launch pilot Autodetect and move the window. Please goto the right side of the new window and choose Download Driver Autodetect, do not run it but save it on your desktop or where ever you will be, the scanner and then restart your laptop. I have to say now that pilot Autodetect is actually the beginnings of the new 12.4 CCC then after restarting your laptop, please make sure that the laptop is connected to the internet first and then double-click Autodetect driver file to launch the new CCC, make sure to follow all directions and accept. That should do it.

  To access the CCC by the bureau, click any where clearly on the desktop and then click on CCC.
