  • How can I add a map page in photo books that will show destinations with arrows like iPhotos used to do?

In iPhotos, you can create a page of book that showed cards with your travel destinations. The kids loved because they can now see to what extent they traveled. This feature doesn't seem to be transported on the photos App updated. Can anyone explain why?

You can add a map with markers places, but arrows like in iPhoto or Aperture are perhaps not available, because the pages with arrows caused constant crashes in iPhoto, who knows.

As a workaround: you could create a map with location markers page and print the page in PDF format, and then draw the arrows in preview on the map and import the page map of pictures as a photo.  Add this photo to the photo book full page.

  • I got a photo book, but I can't listen to samples and order?

I have finished a photo book with opening 3.6, but when I try to preview, the application breaks down and I have to force quit so I can't order and purchase my book.

I have an IMac at the end of 2013 with a 2'9 GHz processor intel core i5, so I don't think that's the problem.

Anyone know what could be the problem and how to fix it?

    Thank you

I have finished a photo book with opening 3.6, but when I try to preview, the application breaks down and I have to force quit so I can't order and purchase my book.

Your book can contain a picture or a card that cannot be returned. You will need to identify the problematic item and delete it and replace it.

Fact the crashlog list the filename of the picture that is being processed?  Look at the error message if you see no indication on the problematic photo.

You can also try to identify the problematic element by duplicating the book.

Select the book in the inspector from the photo library, ctrl-click, select 'duplicate the book. "

Make two copies of the book. From the first copy remove half of the pages, the second ice the other half of the pages.

Try to view the two copies of the book. If the opening hangs to one of the copies, the problematic element is this copy.

Continue duplicating the copy of the book that keeps crashing and deleting pages, until you have found the page that is the cause of the crash.

Then try to identify the photo or the map on the page which is the cause of the crash.

Wich version of Aperture do you use?  If you are using version 3.4.5 opening or earlier, cards won't work any longer.

  • Why can't I order two different photo books in the same order?

I find costs for scandalous photo books, especially when I can't it be shipped to one country other than my billing address (which means ordering a Christmas gift you send in Sweden, for €10 and then ship it to the USA myself, pay again). This for a book of very simple picture whose aim was more than a Christmas card.

I if I could save a little by ordering another book at the same time, having delivered them together, but I can't seem to place two elements in the same order - is this really the case?

I wish I had looked into the front through the pain of the compilation books, or I would never have chosen the Photos to make them.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Or if you know a way to export all the photos of a project in order to re-do from another site (pdf export and print would not give enough quality, I guess?)

    Thank you

Why - because this isn't how it works

and here, users have no control over the decisions of apple that you do – every project is a separate order with separate shipping

You can try websites - Photos presto claims to be albut printing from a PDF Preview - Preview a print project in Photos, iPhoto or Aperture to avoid problems - Apple Support - I've never used only read them about them online

  • When I try to order a Photo book...

When I try to order a photo book, it says "country not supported. Orders must be shipped in your billing country', but the United Kingdom is my billing country. My apple ID must be registered in the United Kingdom. I have a valid credit card that is registered in the United Kingdom. I don't understand what the problem... I spent all weekend, making this miserable book. It is cruel and unusual punishment!

  • How to do a two-page spread in photo books?

How to do a two-page spread in photo books?

    Hi Myrte Veach,

If you want to add pages to your photo book project, please follow the steps below.

Add, remove and rearrange the pages of book

You can add, remove, or reorder pages from the book. You can insert new pages anywhere in a book, except between the cover on the outside and the inside cover page.

Note: A book must have an even number of pages. If the change in the number of pages creates an odd number of pages, Photos automatically adds or removes a blank page to keep the number of pages to an even number.

Click project on the toolbar, and then double-click the book.

    Do one of the following:

Add a page: select the page you want the new page to follow, and then click Add a Page in the toolbar and choose Add a Page.

Set the number of pages in a book: click on the book settings button in the toolbar and drag the number of Pages.

Remove a page from a book: click on the page to select and press DELETE, or click on the button Add a Page in the toolbar, select the Page to delete, then click on continue. You can also click on the page, select the Page to delete, then click on continue.

Move a page in a book: rest the pointer over a page number until the page button, and then drag the button on the page to move the page to a new location. You can also select a page, and then drag the button to the page.

  • Make a photo book

Make a photo book, how can I get "all pages"?

Do you want to say, how to return to the display of pages after you expanded a page?

I found no other way to return that to enter the ⌘5 for the display of 'Projects', and then click the book project to open it in "All Pages" display. There should be a simple keyboard shortcut, but I couldn't find one.

Apple does not announce - you need to ask them - I guess that's where ever they choose and could be one of a number of different places according to volume and when ordering

And you posted in iPhoto for Mac forum - Photo Books can no longer be ordered at all since iPhoto - they withdrew in April

  • Frustrating Photo book creation Support

How long will take before Photos development team fixes the following annoying problems users encounter when trying to create a Photo book in Photos 1.5:

    1. inability to adjust the images on a page.  Yes, there are many variations that meet basic needs only.  None gives the ability to mix portrait and landscape photos nor can I adjust a frame the entire image is included instead of only a part.  Many of the options framework also large borders that limit the size of images that can be printed.

2 have the ability to override the order of "sort by date" imposed on the Photo Strip default would allow users to review their photos in the order they find most useful.  If you had to analyze a few things for the book, the date of the analysis forces them to the far right of the Photo Strip.

    3. editing of the photos is better with Photos 1.5 but not allowed to compensate for the lack of chassis adjustments.

I just created a Photo book using the book of Photo of Costco.  Setting of the images on the Pages and see the Photos in the order that I put in place were immensely more friendly I have experience with Photos 1.5 running on OS X 10.11.5.  I hope that these basic features will be executed shortly so I can see if Apple can produce the Photo book that meets my needs.

  • Apple iphoto still produces photo books

Apple still produces photo books and is it possible to produce them using a pc?

If you have iPhoto, you can always create photo books, but Apple does not print iPhoto books.  Printing products Apple store is only printing books created with the Photos for Mac News, see: https://www.apple.com/osx/print-products/

If you create a book in iPhoto, you can save it as a PDF file and send it to other printing services, like Photo Presto.

Photo Presto will be shipped around the world, see their pages:
