Lightroom 5.7.1 does not open. There is a message that there is an "error reading from the preview cache". How can I fix this error? I can not find the folder cache of Lightroom preview either in the "Programs folder or the programs (X 86) folder."
Hi PMB.
You must remove the preview for your Lightroom Catalog Cache.
It is located in the same folder as the catalog in Lightroom. The name of the cache an extract ends with Previews.LRDATA and should be deleted. Not to be confused with *. LRCAT, which should not be deleted. Here is a picture of what it is named as default Lightroom5catalogPreviews.Lrdata.

After installation, the main Thunderbird window does not open (send emails)
Thunderbird has been an automatic upgrade this morning (02/05/14).
Now, when I open it, it opens and I can even see the preview of the main screen when I hover over the icon in my launch, but the main window does not open.
If I right click to compose a message, I can, and it does not send. But I didn't see the main screen.
I closed it, closed the process of thunderbird. I moved my profile and reinstalled Thunderbird.
Same problem ever time. When I try to open the registry, it says it's corrupt. But CCCleaner does not seem to fix. Don't know what to do next.

Pages does not open any file more except models
From one day to the other Pages 5.6.1 does not open any more files on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.11.3. I tried all means: 'Open recent', 'open... '. ","With "Open Pages", without result. A restart does not help. Best regards.
Hi Ciroamos,
I understand that you're having trouble to open a document Pages 5.6.1 on your MacBook Pro. Have you recently updated or changed on demand? Have you tried to open a Pages document on icloud drive, in addition to your computer? One thing I would try is to use Time Machine and go back to an earlier date and see if you can open a document. If you can't, then you must uninstall the application Pages and re-download from the Mac App Store.
I would add some information below to help you with these troubleshooting steps.
Mac OS X: how to solve a software problem
Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac
Restore specific files:
- Enter in Time Machine, choose the Time Machine menu
, or click on the Time Machine in the Dock.
- Find files to restore:
- Use the timeline on the edge of the screen to see your Time Machine backup files, as they were at this date and time. The timeline may also include a snapshots the.
- Use of the screen and down arrows to reach the last time the content of the window changes. You can also use the search field in a window to find a file and then move through time, well that centered on the changes to this file.
- Select a file, then press the SPACEBAR to preview the file and make sure it is the one you want.
- Click on restore to restore the selected file, or Ctrl-click the file for other options.
Download your latest purchases
Redownload an app
On a Mac or a PC
You can redownload the apps for iOS in iTunes devices and applications for your computer in the Mac App Store.
Since the Mac App Store
Take care
- Enter in Time Machine, choose the Time Machine menu

I am importing photos & the program was building previews... and it crashed. The screen went blue, the computer is shut down. I rebooted, and L5 does not open. I get an error message indicating "Lightroom has encountered an error when reading of he is seen hiding and must be closed.» Lightroom will attempt to solve this problem, the next time it starts. "so I close the window & L5 goes. I restarted, stop, because the system restore (and he says everything is fine) and still get the message. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Delete preview cache. Look in the folder that contains your catalog file, the preview cache is a folder whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA. Do not remove anything else. Do not remove the. LRCAT file.

Trying to open a PDF with READER XI. It does not open. SE message: ACROBAT is unable to connect to the external DDE server. Help!
Do you know how to use regedit? If so, change the content of the 'Acroview' HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\applicationhas10 to ' AcroviewR10.»
Or do this automatically by downloading, unzipping it, and then runs the registry script https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/09f4a4ea-ac3c-4120-8881-a87b3ddb89d8

Illustrator does not open "an unknown error has occurred (-108)".
I installed Yosemite a few weeks and it took several days to finally get things working again. Everything was fine for awhile, but now Safari try to continually reload pages, Mail crashes when I check new messages (it disappears without warning), Illustrator gives me "unknown error (-108)", just InDesign disappears when I try to start it, Word does not open, preview does not work in the finder. This is a major drawback and makes my pretty useless Mac.

PS CS5 "Print layout" dialogue does not open
Hello: I feel through my Photoshop CS5.
Accidentally, I created a 0 x 0 cm paper size and tried to print (up to this point Photoshop and Print worked).
I now (always) get an error message: "there was an error in the opening of your printer... "
Photoshop > file > print... does not open the Print Setup Page.
Photoshop > file >print a copy (works, but always try to print 0 x 0 cm, spits it on a blank page printer).
Using the application (Apple/Mac) 'Preview', I deleted the predefined paper size "0 x 0 cm".
Apps; Preview, TextEdit, Mail, Word,... all print correctly (they can open the dialog box "print layout").
I've set up two other printers (now three in total) and they work with all applications (except Photoshop).
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop and my printers, including all their preference files.
Also, I deleted again preference files in Photoshop by opening Photoshop while pressing "Shift-Opt-Cmd".
In "System Preferences" > printers & Fax >Printers; I reset my computer "Printing System".
I fixed "disk permissions', Start and also did several restarts.
Since only Photoshop has a problem, I think that Photoshop has put (somewhere) a thought preference it is default paper size is 0 x 0 cm which is throwing an error and prevents the opening of 'Print Page layout.
I've updated Photoshop Adobe Air, printers,... After you have reinstalled.
I ran a software that erases caches of my computer.
I reinstalled and updated my operating system (OS only, not my account and data).
I would appreciate your help. Thank you, M_L_R
Mac OS: 10.6.8 Apple/MacPro 2009, 2 x 2.93GHx 8-Core processors, 16 GB of Ram (DDR3 1066 MHz)
Hello: I fixed my (Print: Page Setup... Panel of the dialog box does not open) problem.
The fix was one of the many suggestions that I did research in the field "Adobe Help".
Unfortunately, I rejected this solution (so far).
Reference: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error-install-printer-photoshop-cs4.html
See > Solution 7: create another user account and run Photoshop under that user.
Some of the procedures (below) will be may not be not necessary, but the main solution is there...
Mac OS X 10.5 or later >System Preferences >accounts >guest account (share only) >Allow clients to connect to this computer >Automatic connection (for the administrator, always active - optional) > then log on (mainadministrator) account > then connect to the guest account > go to the applications folder (in the guest account) > open Photoshop > create a new simple document (example: create a text letter) >print... (in this case printing: Page Setup... the Panel of the dialog box is displayed [remember: that's the problem of the error in the main account]) > (do what you normally do) select your printer > set up a page of size options and printer >print. Save this project Photoshop > delete this Photoshop project > disconnection (of the guest account) > connect to your regular account (mainDirector) > the guest account can now be disabled (optionally) > open Photoshop (in your main account) > test print a simple document > the (print: Page Setup...) Panel now open dialog > (do what you normally do) select your printer > set up a page of size options and printer >print. Save this project Photoshop > delete this Photoshop project > the (Print: Page Setup... ) ( Panel of the dialog box does not open) problem is fixed. Bye for now, M_L_R

Photoshop CS4 does not open RAW files
Photoshop CS4 won't open RAW (.) CR2 files). I tried what is indicated on the Adobe (versions, uninstall, reinstall check) website. Nothing has worked. It still gives me the error message: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this file type."
I use CS4 on a Mac OS with a Canon Rebel XS 10.6.6. I currently have Camera Raw 5.7 installed.
Someone at - it answers?
Thank you
Teresa
This image is only a little more than 3 megabytes. It's not quite large for a true CR2 file from your camera - they are normally over 10 megabytes, right?
The raw file seems to be truncated. Photoshop does not open, and the free software IrfanView will convert only the upper left quadrant.
Regarding the recovery of the images, at least in part, you may be lucky... Canon's Raw files contain an embedded JPEG preview image. It is smaller than the size of the full pixel of the camera and in front in the file.
Photo Viewer Windows 7 or the free software IrfanView will extract the JPEG embedded all of the image of the figure of the cat of this file. You may use these tools to extract previews for use.
How you did load the images into your computer? He must try to understand how they have been truncated.

Final Cut Pro 10.2.3 does not open a library more!
Hey! I could really use to understand this, a total mystery for help:
This morning, I tried to open a library of Final Cut is saved on my hard drive. Last night, I worked with the library, but now it just opens up.
It gives an error: Final Cut close unexpectedly
It's just one that does not open it opens other libraries.
Also, I tried to open it on another computer, but here it opens either.
I tried Trashing FCP to the preferences Manager, made a first aid attendant, but it seems that the problem is in THE LIBRARY not in the program.
In addition, NONE of the backups open.
Any ideas? ;)
Thank you!!
Try to open the library of most recent backup.
By default, they are stored in Final Cut backups in the folder sequences.
