  Hi all

  I'm trying to link to a PDF from my site. When I click on the link, it opens the folder I have the pdf file in and wonder of "enter the name of the file to be saved in. He has "Save as file type" and the area name. He thinks I want to save a file instead of open a. It maintains also come back in the same folder, even if I have a link with something stored on my desk. I save in jpeg format in order to make a link to it.

  When you bind the Project Muse PDF file, you must use the menu links in the control panel to select the link to file option. In the import dialog box that appears, browse to select the file and click open to select.

• Previews of the Windows Desktop for PDF files icon

  I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and use a large number of PDF documents.

  My problem is that only some PDF document files that I leave on my desk display the image thumbnails.
  Others show just a generic Adobe logo and a red rectangle that says PDF.
  It seems random, on 60% images, logos of 40%. I contacted Adobe and sought in several forums, but can't seem to get an answer.

  I know it's just a nuisance, but it bothers me little. (I think it's the same thing in Vista Ultimate x 64)

  I found the following on the Forums of Support from Adobe , which implies to me that it is a problem with Adobe and 64-bit operating systems:

  Marin85 on forum.thinkpads.com has found a solution to this problem. Seems that the problem occurs on 64 bit systems. Win 7 32 bit version creates the miniature .pdf automatically with Adobe Pro v9. However, this is not the case with Win 7 x 64. Note that on Vista or XP, but it might be the same number of 32-bit/64-bit.

  If the thumbnails are not be generated automatically, in order to create a thumbnail preview instead of the regular pdf icon, you just browse to a folder containing PDFs OF IN ACROBAT READER and select the 'Tiles' of the 'Open files' window view Acrobat then creates miniature previews for the PDF files in that particular folder.

  For a few years on computers running Windows XP, I noticed that whenever I get near a file Adobe PDF system seems to anticipate the

  The 'problem' is the Extension Adobe PDF in the browser.

  This extension retrieves the information of preview of the PDF file, so it works as expected (according to Adobe).

  If you keep your up while Task Manager by placing the cursor on a PDF file, you will see the AcroRd32.exe run for a few moments and disappear while the preview for the file information is retrieved (where the hourglass for a while).

  If you find it boring, use ShellExView temporarily disable the Extension Adobe PDF and see that the issue is no longer present and your PDF documents still works fine.  Leave this option off and you can always enable it later if you think that there is a problem.

  Deactivation and activation of the immediate environment ShellExView ls extensions (no reboot is required) so you can disable/enable the extension, watch the activity of the Task Manager with the extension enabled and disabled, hover over your PDFs, etc, etc.

  When I use the average compression in Acrobat, I encounter no problem through "Preview".  All of my text appears as it should.  Works fine, but I find myself with a 26 MB file.

  When I use the low compression in Acrobat (recommended for e-mail), I have all sorts of problems with my text in 'Preview '.  I use this option because my file sizes are half what they are in average compression.

  I know that "Preview" is not a replacement for Acrobat, but default Mac application for the opening of PDF files is "Preview", and many users that I deal with are not equipped with any Adobe software.  Is there a solution?  What is Acrobat when it compresses files for emailing?

  

  I would add that the small version that does not display the text always contains the text (I'm able to select), it is not visible.

  The problem no is not with what Acrobat is scrapped, but does seen Mac with available data. The problem is with preview. You can't have a scholarship of silk with the ear of the sow. If preview is doing a terrible job rendered pdf perfectly well, that the player will display properly, there is nothing that adobe can do.

  Select the file and use the Command + Option + Deletekeyboard shortcut.  You will get this window:

  

  Click Delete Deletes the file.  The file can be anywhere on the disk hard to make it work.  It doesn't have to be in the trash.

  I have Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 is installed.  I can open it with this player.  However, the preview pane may not obtain a preview of the document.   Error message is correct Win 7 in the preview pane:

  It's a registry error that's easy to fix once you know what to look for.

• Error with deleting the PDF file opened in preview only pane on the shared network drives

  I have a problem within Windows Explorer, I file open with say dozens of PDFs I have the preview pane open so I can tell what was on the pdf file selected without fully open. After you have determined whether I need it or not, I'd go for delete the file. However, with the file selected and preview pane, you can not delete the file gives an error message saying: the file is already open and cannot be deleted.

  I found that this happens on users with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 machines at my place of work with different versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat. Main versions being Acrobat 9-10, drive DC 15. Also only on the product on shared network drives, local hard drives are not the issue.

  Also, I installed another PDF reader and do not have the same problem if I put it in the default PDF Viewer. Leads me to believe that the problem is with the Adobe programs and non-Windows. I want to continue to use Adobe since I have a lot of licenses of Acrobat. Turn off the preview pane is not an option for my end users, since the amount of PDF files that they go through in a day is quite high.

  3. remove the drive and use another pdf reader

• Preview.app stuck on the first page of the PDF in single page mode

  I regularly Preview.app view PDF files and want to use the "Single Page" function to display an entire page at one time. I have 'Single Page' display set as the default behavior.
