Previous installations of Windows

Is it safe to delete the "previous Windows Installations", set log files, files by user archived Windows Error Reporting in the 'disk cleanup' for (c)?  I need to know before you delete in the disk cleanup box... I need to know a.s.a.p. Please if anyones out there reading this.   Thank you!

Yes.  It is safe to remove all items that shows disk cleanup.

If you upgraded the computer from an earlier version of Windows, previous Windows Installations the files of this facility.  To view the files, look in the folder C:\Windows.old .  If you need the files, such as your Windows XP My Documents folder, copy them to a different location before you run Disk Cleanup.

  • Impossible to decrypt encrypted files from the previous installation of Windows

original title: decrypt the new windows file encrypted aftre

I have a problem with decrypt file tha I ecrypt under windows and now my c: partition is formatted and my encrypted data cannot be decrypted

Note: I use this method for encryption

    1. Right click on the file that you want to encrypt, and then click Properties.

    2. Click the general tab and then click Advanced.

    3. Select encrypt it the contents of the box to secure the data, click OK, and then click OK again.

You can solve this problem for me

If you encrypted the files/folders and transfer them to a new installation of XP, you can only decrypt using your original installation of XP encryption key.

If this is the case, the key to decrypt these files was managed by Windows as a certificate in your certificate from your original installation store. These certificates are, in turn, encrypted to your Secure ID, your password and many other things.

This information would be lost on a new XP installation.

The easy way to restore access to your files is to restore your certificate from the backup that you have conscientiously performed pursuant to subsection 'Why you should back up your certificates' in the article:

"Best practices for EFS file system.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/223316/en-us

If you don't have a copy of your certificate, then you need to restore your old system from a backup connection, image-style and then retrieve your certificate.

Otherwise, your data is history.  EFS is very secure and there is no back door.

Because the instructions for encryption are often never read, understood and followed or the importance of backing up certificates
is not followed or understood, the EFS was affectionately known as the 'delay of trash. "

Allegedly, you may be able to hire a person specializing in the recovery of encrypted files to try to help you. Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • Installation of Windows 7 has failed due to the graphics card, can not go beyond "Complete Installation".

Hello, I'm trying to reinstall Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit after an accident which is more allow me to start on the login screen of my previous installation of Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit.  When I try to reinstall the installation hangs and will not finish (even at night) on the stage of "Complete Installation"... ».  During my first install of Windows 7 on this computer I had the same problem and finally worked my way around it by removing the 2 GB of RAM (2 GB installed leaving) and the replacement of my gpu NVIDIA 8800GT with a gpu NVIDIA 8600.  I don't have the right to replace the gpu, and I believe that this issue could possibly be resolved by installing a suitable driver for the 8800GT before starting the installation.  Since I can't start is no longer in Windows 7 in a form in any way, the only option I know is to use the option to load drivers in the system found on the DVD itself System Recovery Options.  When I find the correct driver and install it, it returns the error "failed to install".  I am now at a loss to know what to do because it was the only solution I could think, am I missing something?  If this is not the case, how can I get Windows 7 installed again?  Thanks for any help.

  • New Installation of Windows 10 using Memory Stick

Installed Windows 10 of a download of Microsoft with the iso installed on a memory stick with training camp. After you have created a Bootcamp partition I couldn't install Windows on Bootcamp partition due to an error message 'GPT Partition Style'. Reformatting of the Windows installation screen did not help. The solution came as a surprise. I was start from the windows 'disc' when I should have used the IEF 'drive '. After starting the EFI, reformatting of the Bootcamp partition disk worked and the installation went well, with the exception of the Setup screen was too small to read easily. Fortunately, I was familiar with the installation of the failure of the previous installation screens.

Windows 10 works fine now. The link below is what led me to a solution.

    http://code-zest.blogspot.com/2015/02/Windows-8-install-GPT-partition-style.html

Your MAC supports two installation methods, inherited from the BIOS/MBR (used for XP, Vista, W7) and EFI/GPT (W8 +, W10). The first method requires a hybrid MBR to 'map' the GPT to a MBR-look-alike. EFI/GPT boots are 'native' and faster than the legacy method.

    Important notes before starting:

1 - the steps used for "Toshiba Qosmio F30" and for others models Qosmio that comes with "Intel Centrino Duo" Cpu and Xp Media Center 2005 installed.

    2. apply these steps if you have previous experience in the installation of Windows Xp, if you have that experience, then you can use the provided recovery CD to restore your system.

In other words (you need for the first and the second Cd of Windows Xp Mce 2005 SP2 Oem).

    4. do not try to implement these measures on the other Versions of Windows Xp, use "Windows Xp Media Center Edition 2005 Sp2 Oem" only

    5. you must have the Usb floppy drive to install "Toshiba Raid Controller", it can be installed that by having the driver on a floppy disk and pressing F6 during the setup of Windows Xp, if you do not install the Raid driver then will Windows Xp does not recognize your hard drive.

  • Installation problem Windows 10 on Acer Aspire V5 - 573G

I have acer aspire V5 - 573G, I tried to install Windows 10 on my computer using the USB. I started on USB, format hard drive and tired to install it, but he gave me error "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. "Error code: 0x800701E3".

After a search on the internet I found that you must upgrade to Windows 10 windows 8.1 and shouldn't have installed live. Then I installed windows 8.1 pro, then I went to upgrade to Windows 10 but after a while the update failed and rolled back to the previous version of windows and it showed the error 'the installion failed in the FIRST_BOOT expression with an error during the operation BEGIN_FIRST_BOOT'.

Please help, how do I install windows 10.

Finally that my problem has been resolved.

I changed the SATA from AHCI RAID mode and that worked for me.

But now I have new problem that is whenever I start my computer laptop blue screen of Death (BSOD) occurs. Not every time but often. Whenever he gives a new error. Some errors are...

    • Unmountable_Boot_Volume
    • Kernel_Data_Inpage

    Any suggetions?
