Previous version allowed me to save the tabs when Firefox is closed. This seems to no longer be available?

The previous version of FF asked me if I wanted to save my tabs when I closed it. I no longer seem to have this option on FF 4.0. It is no longer available?

A Firefox 4 is from Firefox showing the default warning message will stop, but it can be turned on again by changing some preferences.

  1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press on enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Find browser.tabs.warnOnClosepreference, if its value is set to false, double-click on it to change its value to true
  4. Repeat this for 3 preferences browser.warnOnQuit, the browser.warnOnRestart and the browser.showQuitWarning

  • Save my tabs when Firefox is closed so that they are always there when I restart Firefox

You have to use restore on my computer recently and once I did, Firefox seems to have lost the ability to save the tabs that I had opened since the last time that I used it, do not remember how it was configured to save tabs after each session. Also restore previous session was grayed out on then the previous session was not guarded, was able to recover some of the tabs looking through my story, right now I can't just close Firefox and open it to my previous tabs, it starts a new session. Will be closed in the future Firefox until a solution is found from my task manager, because it usually allows me to restore the previous Firefox tabs because it acts as an accident.

Normally, Firefox saves your open windows and tabs that you will when your browser crashes, so it can restore your session automatically. To get Firefox to do this each time that you start, you can set that in the Options page. See: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.

If Firefox does not always restore your session, check the Options page Privacy panel to ensure that:

    (1) you authorize Firefox saves history
    (2) you may not erase history at the stop

    Hi Goldie_,

I guess you don't watch this page when you closed Firefox last time. Also that you are not in private, correct navigation mode? Looks like it is maybe a problem with Firefox being able to save your file pref.js. You should try the steps listed in the preferences section that won't save trouble. Try and let me know how it goes.

    Hope this helps!

  • Clsing Firfox 4. -for Yahoo does not save the tabs when closing like the previous versions. Your help says settings but does not tell me what setting...

In all previous versions of Firefox, when I close Firefox, asked me if I wanted to save my tabs. The latest version does not have this option. Why not and what adjustment will bring back this feature. I don't have to pull down the menu history and ask the previous Session, I should be able to start with my previous session if I exit and not to close tabs.

Updates should increase the functionality and NOT completely change the appearance of the program.

    Thank you

"I asked also originally where the setting was to open Firefox with my previous tabs."

I do not see that in your original question, above. I have provided an answer to this question in my second reply:

    • You can set this option in the Options > general change, "when Firefox opens:" to "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

  • Since the update for Firefox 4, I am no longer offers the possibility to save the tabs when closing making it much faster to access these sites when starting the next day. Why this possibility has been removed? It's a favorite feature.

Since the update for Firefox 4, I offer more the ability to save tabs on shutdown - makes more rapid access to these sites when commissioning the next day. Why this possibility has been removed? It was a feature favorite and saved a lot of time.

Firefox 4 records the previous session.

You can use "Firefox > history > restore previous Session" for the previous session.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

    Another possibility is to use:

    • Tools > Options > general > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

You can set the preferences of warning on the topic: config page true via the context menu or toggle the value with a double click of the left.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

  • Since the installation of FF4, I wonder is if I want to save the tabs to close, and they are not open during the seizure of the next session. The only way answer correctly is opening in safe mode.

As suggested in the troubleshooting guide, I have disabled all of the Plugins/extensions, search for corrupted files potential and checked all the settings (although it does not seem to have one for this feature) all to nothing does not. FF behaves as I hope however when closing and reopening in safe mode. All previous versions of FF I got does not show this problem.

    Hello

"Save as" box pop up does not allow me to save the document. Displays a white screen. No idea what would cause this? I bought acrobat pro dc.

    Thank you!

    Found this solution:

The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  • Firefox does not save the tabs after the upgrade of Microsoft Silverlight.

A Web site that I visited recently demanded that I update to the latest version of Silverlight. I did it, and Firefox said it had to be restarted. When I restarted Firefox, even if she asked me to save my tabs this initial reboot, my tabs have not been saved. Now, every time I close Firefox, the warning that I am about to close x number of tabs appears, and there is no option to save my tabs. Clearly, the Silverlight upgrade has been the cause of this error, but how to re - activate the option to save the tabs?

You can check the startup parameter:

Tools > Options > general > startup: startup of Firefox:

Show my windows and tabs from last time
