Print cartridges: refer to the documentation for the printer.

First of all, what kind of error is this? It's like breaking a leg and the doctor would say "your not in good health."

Information:

HP photosmart C5280 All-in-one printer/scanner

Connected to Windows 7 64-Bit enterprise Edition (I suggest using business even for users because it does not have the stupid DRM)

I am runing on this question, which I cannot do anything with a printer. No button responds with the exception of the Sub and turned off. via computer software I can run scan, but that's all.

First time I had this, I bought new cartridges, and the prblem is resolved for a few weeks, the second time, what has worked for 2 days, third time not at all.

I tried:

Reinstall the cartridges - 100 + times

Clean the contacts - 4 times

Do a hard reset with connect with the printer power on and stop - at least 3
times.

Make a semi full reset in the reset - menu once

Replacement cartridges - twice (see above).

In the case where I forgot to mention, I tried every troubleshooting I could find on these forums via google, did not help at all. The computer thinks that there is no catrigdges (the icons disappeared in the Hp Solution Center). The printer itself gives the error message in the title. I'm losing hope with this one.

Is there a solution or should I buy the new printer? because it would not of course be HP after the amount of bad it gave me. I'm even typing this from an HP laptop, and I regret buying now.

SUPPORT Yes, I want to be able to use your printer, but you leave me no

A solution of force-ignroe the error and print either way would help, hell, I have same colors. just let tell me him to ignore the error and try anyway, everything is in good condition, but the stupid printer software does not include it.

Joe, the issue would almost certainly a problem with the cartridge. With this kind of cartridge, it is a cartridge and print head combined. If a problem is detected insofar as the mechanics of it would be only performed on the side of your printer by a possible build-up of ink on your electrical contacts where the cartridge connects to the transport.

My recommendation would be to replace the color cartridge and see if the problem resolves.

Let me know if this solves your problem and have a great day!

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more months of use.

The unit refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is always 90% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia player, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this error - touch wood.

  • Ink cartridge error: refer to the Documentation of the printer

I've scoured the forums for a solution to my problem and come up with nothing. I have a HP Photosmart C5250 all in one connected via USB to a Dell Inspiron under Windows 7 64-bit. I tried the reset suggested several times with no ink cartridges does not. I use HP brand ink cartridges. In its current form, I have no need to print anything but I need to scan something into my computer and the error message prevents me from doing anything. I've lived the documentation several times and he told me something that I already have his not know or is not already done.

Hey SGibbons, lets try the following steps:

    1. without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable (if connected like that) from the back of the product

    2. remove the cartridges from the product. Wait that a message to insert the cartridges. If you don't see a message in a few minutes, go to the next Ste.

    3. disconnect the power cord from the back of the product. Wait 60 seconds

4 reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the power button

5 reinsert the cartridges and close the doors on the product. If you are prompted to print a calibration page, do it.  If you disconnected the USB cable, plug it back in the back of the product

    6. try to reprint

I would like to know if that helps at all. If it does not provide new details or error messages and we'll go from there.

    Thank you

Remove the black print cartridge and keep only the color cartridge to verify the message. Now remove the color cartridge and only insert the black cartridge in and check the message. This should give an idea on what cartridge has a problem.

    Hi all

Work with the documentation "printing" in 2012 has Labview and noticed that there is not an obvious way to create documentation for each separate event in a structure of the event.  Since it is possible to show each individual event is a separate diagram in html file, it seems that it would be useful to be able to create a description of an event.  Please let me know if there is a way to do this.  Thank you.

  • Photosmart HP 5510: Error with the same type of print cartridge black that I use for more than a year

    Hello

For the last days I'm not able to print anything from my Photosmart 5510, because I get the error message "" Black - cartridge incompatible generation more "or 'cartridge for printers of older generation'." In addition, it does not give me option as before proceeding, in any case and I can't activate wireless. So, actually I have no printer at all. I reinstalled the driver but the same thing, after I did that and restarted a printer.

I've been ordering cartridges on eBay and Amazon for a few years now. They were not HP and printer always said to me that it is not genuine HP cartridge. I have no problem with notifications, as it prints well. I printed several pages of document .pdf only 4-5 days.  No problem at all. My ink level is very good, especially black, because I was always ordering the largest capacity I print a lot.

This problem started today (or I had knowledge about this today) and there is no doubt that something has changed between the time where I printed the last time and now. But it's pretty clear that HP wants me to buy original cartridges. Is it not enough that my laptop is HP, my printer is HP... I should have freedom to choose what ink to buy and where to buy it. It worked a few days ago and I checked the black cartridge, that I get the error message, has at least 50% of ink left in it. Because HP wants me to throw it away, because it's not authentic?

I'm really upset, because it is not a software, where we have to use the original permits. It's MY printer and I get to choose what cartridges I put in it, and where I buy my cartridges. If there answer like "it is not comapitble, etc.", well, it worked for a long time and printer tell me that there is problem with it. The problem with the cartridge just 'old generation '.

If HP conitinues to press like that, I'll never buy anything HP again.
