We have created manuals on Adobe Pro which has fields to fill in edit for notes and it is password protected. Everything seemed to work perfectly on PC and Mobile Devices until this past weekend when we noticed that on mobile device, edit the fields are locked. The security settings are defined for the user to change the editable fields.

    Hello

When the password is applied to a PDF document, the PDF document will be encrypted.

Acrobat Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) have the known limit where the changes cannot be saved in encrypted PDF documents.  As a result, users are not able to make any changes (for example to fill in forms or add annotations/comments) to encrypted PDF documents.

As you already know, there is no such limitation in the desktop version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • How to read that a password protected PDF on my Kindle. I have the password and I am allowed to read. This is the manual school related.

I want to read PDF on my Kindle. Read books of text on a computer, it's not what I want to do every time.

    Hi robertc75438092,

How to access a PDF protected on a Kindle

The major advantage for PDF files, is that you can distribute documents to a wide variety of platforms, including the Amazon Kindle. While the Kindle opens most PDF files without any difficulty, you can run in trouble if the PDF file has password protection applied. The Kindle will open PDFs protected by password, but not if the PDF file has digital rights management applied. Most of the models of Kindle cannot open DRM encrypted PDF files, but you can download an app, qPDF, to Kindle fire which allows you to open PDFs encoded with DRM.

No - DRM Protection password: -.

    Step1 highlight the PDF file.

Step 2 press the 5-way control to open the PDF file. If your Kindle is a touch screen, tap the PDF file to open it. This will open a dialog box that asks you the password.

    Step 3 type the password.

Step 4 Select the 'OK' button and press the control button 5. Press the 'OK' button on the touchscreen models.

Coded DRM of PDFs on the Kindle Fire: -.

Step 1: click the "Apps" tab from the home page to open the applications menu.

Step 2, click on the "Store" link in the upper right corner of the page to access the Kindle app store.

Step 3 Type qPDF Viewer in the field "search".

Step 4 press the "Free" button next to the qPDF online Viewer. The 'Free' button will change to "install".

Step 5 press the button "install". The application will download and install to your Kindle Fire. When you are finished, you will see a button 'open '.

Step 6 press the 'Open' button to launch the application.

    Step 7 tap the

Step 8 press the "open" button to select a PDF file to open it.

Step 9 tap on the PDF you want to open. You will see a dialog box asking you to enter a password.

    Step 10, type the password.

Step 11 press the 'OK' button to open your PDF file.

I will recommend you to consult the Kindle support team, they will help you with the details.

How to password protect a PDF document received

Possible with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader No.

  • Password protect PDF copy and paste, not sure in Mac "Preview"?

I created a book for someone and sent a PDF of it.  I fixed it with a password so it can be printed but not edited or copy/paste compatible.  When I open the PDF in Acrobat file on my PC, its locks me as it should.  I sent to a friend, and of course it's the same way in Acrobat on his Mac.  But when he opened it in "Preview" on the Mac, it allows him to copy paste.  He said he uses OS x Lion 10.7.4.

Why is-Mac Viewer bypassing the security and how can I keep doing it?

A PDF (viewer) consumer is supposed to honor standard security restrictions that are in place, but there is no way we're going to make sure that all. Another method that provides a strong form of security could serve as a security certificate or LiveCycle Rights Management (a type of DRM), but viewers can not Adobe such as the overview would not be able to open the document at all.

  • I want to print or export (PDF) a design with an indication of pantone colors used without separations so that our customers can see them (not in CMYK)

Before I used illustrator CS, I was able to point used on a print or PDF with coreldraw pantone colors.

Can someone tell me how to make such an impression with CS6.

My customers saw no Pantone colors used in the design (not in CMYK)

Add your tones to your Swatches Panel (window > Swatch Library > color books > Pantone + solid coating >)

In the menu drop-down of the swatches Panel, select all unused nuances and delete it. Also remove all unused swatch groups.

File > Configuration of Document > do the purge. 5 ".

Use the text tool to indicate the spot colors on the outer edge of the background area lost, do the color type matches the specified color spot.

Save as PDF. This PDF file printed with purge will show the spot. Alternatively, you can select 'Add crop marks and color bar' in the print settings, which should also indicate the tones.

In InDesign, you can add a box to your page slug, where tones usually added.

  • Why my mac does not create a document without a title when I print? I must go to my downloads and sending them to the Recycle Bin manually.

I'm about 10 days during which my office converted from windows to mac. A question is: whenever we print desktop mac OS X from Yosemite to one of the benefits of HP color laser jet MFP M477fnw 2, our mac creates a document without title that it sends to my downloads. I have to then go to my downloads and manually delete these docs (send to the trash).  They are labeled: report.2.pdf, report.3.pdf, report.4.pdf, ect... with every single print job numbers. Is there a way I can stop these files cluttering up my downloads?  Thank you.

  • password protected files on android

I have over 800 on my Sansung Galaxy S4 Adobe .pdf files and when I try to open one that is looking for a password.  I have no idea, firstly where these documents came because I can't open them, which could be this password.  Anyone has any ideas for me?  I asked Verizon and they just shrugged his shoulders.  Not what you want to hear from your cell phone provider.

There is really not much we can tell you another that somehow, you have one hand on a password protected pdf file. There is no way to open it without the password. If you don't know what it is or need it, remove it.
