Print spooler continues to falter in win7

I had problems with my network printer HP1022n since installing win7 home premium.  The printer works just find with my XP boxes, so it is not a hardware problem.  HP finally came out and said that they do not have a compatible printer driver for win7 network again, I try to uninstall the printer and try to install a new driver for a local (USB) connection.  The problem is, I can't uninstall the device from the spooler continues to falter.  I try to disassemble the camera, but the printer will not go away.  I check what is in the queue, and I get the error:

Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006ba).  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine.

I guess that's why I can't delete the device.  Restarting the computer does nothing and when I try to restart the spooler manually with services.msc it remains active for a few minutes, but the second I try to do anything with the printer (like trying to remove it) the spooler dies again.  He dies also after 3-5 minutes when I do not do anything, but I can certainly kill him watching as long as the printer.  Any ideas on what to do?  Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Print spooler continues to stop in a few seconds

For weeks now, I could not print directly from my laptop because for some reason any the print spooler service keeps shutting off after manally activate the process. Since the passage of Vista Premium to Win 7 Ultimate every time I try to print, I get an error saying that I need to install a printer and while the spooler is turned off.

I tried to delete my printer drivers, manually start the service, which allows dependencies, and a few other things but I did not have much luck. I have attemplted a solution there is some time, that worked for a few days, but then I finished up to the square.

    Thanks for any help.

  • What are the causes my print spooler continues to operate, and quickly stop again when I restart it? Lexmark P4350 - Windows 7 Edition home premium

What are the causes to stop working during printing and stop again shortly after I start my print spooler. I also find that my printer takes a long time to start printing after I clicked "Print". I use an all-in-one printer Lexmark P4350 on Windows 7 Home Premium.

    David

    Hi David,

    Thank you for the update.

    Use all the dependency services?

The solution for slow printing is the print spooler reset.

When we press the Windows key + R, a window opens. This is called the immediate window.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check. Lexmark is not Windows 7 compatible drivers for the printer. So, you can download the drivers for Windows Vista and install in compatibility mode.

Follow the steps to install in compatibility mode:
    a. right click on the driver installation file and select Properties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.
    b. check the box run this program in compatibility mode .
    c. press or click the menu drop down and select a previous operating system, and then tap or click OK.

  • Windows 7 print spooler keeps stopping

Windows 7 preinstalled Dell.  Two printers installed on the system (HPLaserJet1300 and Scanner/printer Dell 922).  Both printers worked well for ~1.5 months.  Suddenly, print spooler continues to stop.  I can't remove printer drivers to try to reinstall.  I tried to restart the spooler of the Panel of the system, but no change.

I also tried sfc/scannow, requested by the other topics in the forum.  Results showed something about printer files is damaged and cannot fix.  (at this point, I'm over my head)

  • Win7 print spooler error. Cannot install my printer.

I bought a new Samsung Mini laptop with Win7 preinstalled.  I tried to install my normally (a fairly new Samsung CLP 315 Color Laser) and the system will not allow it.  I get the following error:

Windows can't open add printer.  The
local print spooler service is not running.
Please restart the spooler or restart the
    machine.

I rebooted the machine and got the same error.  I went to the services.msc file and attempted to start the spooler service to and I got the following error in the column "description":

I tried to restart the spooler service to and I received the following error message:

Windows could not start the spooler on Local computer service.

Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or timely control.

I tried to download the current driver more than Samsung.  I have read every thread repair throughout the web and tried a thousand different repair attempts.  I used http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to analyze the files on my system.  I even bought the software UniBlue Registry Booster for $29.99 in order to eliminate the problem... and I'm here!

I can't add a PictBridge compatible printer, not to mention my Samsung CLP 315, until the spooler service running.  I can't turn on the spooler service because Windows will not let me... I'm unable to print and I am unable to do anything.

I'm a PC and I want to that I was a MAC right now!

    Can anyone help?

most likely the spooler is a failure after install the driver.  Because the spooler is not running, you will need to check what drivers. print processors and language monitors that the spooler is trying to load.  Bruce has a few instructions.  I guess you ran the utility software troubleshooting print already.

  • error ID 808 of the newspaper to print spooler [Internet Explorer 11 + MS Office 2003-2007 x 86 on x 64 ONLY Win7 sp1!]

Howdy all pros around, I would appreciate much all pro tips for the absolutely weird as printer spooler problem here.

Sorry to post this again when there is a lot of look available same cases posted and discussed, but now I will insist that there is a printer driver or a spooler win7 ms itself issue but one of the only Internet Explorer 11 [11.0.9600.17041] installed on Win7sp1x64 (!) fully updated when I have 3 win7sp1 machines around and this problem does not occur on pc only 32-bit win7 of niether!

the funny thing is that the issue does not prevent two win7sp1x64 computers to print normally! also, this never occurs during printing any docs or even the web pages of Google Chrome. but it still appears in win7 admin newspapers twice (!) when you print any web page of IE11! Although there is no problem if you print IE11 web page to PDF file...

This never happened with IE8 before its update through MS Update to IE11 a couple of days.

    error in brief:

The print spooler could not load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\UNIDRVUI. DLL, error 0xc1 code. See the user context information for event data.

You must be assured that I looked carefully through many discussions about similar issues, and I would very much not common advice, when all the common ways like uninstall/install the printer etc do not work for you.

    Thank you very much

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

    Cleaning of printers

NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Instead, go to the other link and download and get and use the utility 'cleanspl' such as described here.

    Hi Stantheman60,

Before you can start to extract the file from the disc print spooler, we recommend to download and run the Microsoft Fix and check if you can install printer successfully. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324757
    b. click Microsoft hotfix and run the tool successfully.
    c. restart the computer so that the changes take effect.
    d. install the printer and check the result.
