print spooler error 1068

Click Start, run, and in the box type (including important space after the "equal" sign):

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

When I do the above step, he said.  access denied

My addictions are HTTP, LexBce server, Remote Procedure Call (rpc)

RPC is running and set to automatic

When you attempt to start the print spooler, I received the error 1068. I tried the listed in various forums, I've watched a lot of things. Print spooler keeps giving me the error 1068.

When I would try this particular stage:

Click Start, run and type the following text:

CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND = RPCSS

By doing the above step, I would get an answer in the denial of access cmd...

In all forums, I looked, I couldn't see the suggestion that David Vinod had. This is what worked for me.

Click Start, run and type Regedit.exe

Navigate to the following branch

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services-spooler

In the right pane, double-click the DependOnService value

Delete existing data and then type RPCSS

Close Regedit.exe.

I need to remove a dependency that I had from a previous printer that is has been uninstalled and didn't know how to do. Thank you very much for the help! My problem is solved!

  • Print Spooler error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. __

I tried - unsuccessfully - restart the print spooler on a box of XP with SP3.  I read the previous posts for this error and this box refuses to restart the service.

Is there an easy way to fix this without reverting to a system reset?  Can I run a repair?  If so, it will fix the problem?  I tried to run a restore of the system to a previous date and who could not do anything for me either.

When you attempt to start the Print Spooler Service, error 1068 means "the dependency service does not exist. the dependency service or group was able to start. »

Depending on your environment and your type of printer installed, your Print Spooler Service will have other dependent services that must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If the dependent services do not work, you will see an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

Some Lexmark printers add their own XP services and start the Print Spooler Service, lists them as dependencies and that is why these Lexmark Services must run before the print service spooler will begin.  It may be listed as the LexBce Server.

You now or have you ever have all installed Lexmark printers?  If Yes, do you still use Lexmark printers?

Depending on your printing environment, if you use another type of printer, you can have other Service listed tab in the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

Use the Applet of Services XP to check the dependencies of print spooler and options.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to open the Services Applet.

Locate the Print Spooler Service, right-click, choose Properties, and then look at the Dependencies tab.  Services listed there must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If they don't, you'll get an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

You should always see the service remote procedure call (RPC) and maybe a few others depending on the type of printer that you have installed (Lexmark printers can add some dependency Services to your configuration of XP).  All dependent services must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.

Dependent Services may vary according to the type of printer that you have installed.

The RPC service is also required for many other things to work properly and is usually still running and the autostart value.

If the RPC Service does not work and does not start automatically, you can have other problems, but start with the easy stuff first.

Of the Services Applet, find the service remote procedure call (RPC) and if it does not, right-click and start it and set it to automatic.

Then find and all the other print spooler dependency services listed in the Print Spooler Service Dependencies tab.  They will be lance automatically the next time you reboot your system (if that is your desire), set the startup type for these Services to automatic.

When everything works as you want, restart and check your Services again to be sure that they start correctly and solve any addition
    questions.

If the remote procedure call (RPC) service is not listed as a dependency for your Print Spooler Service, you must inform XP that the print spooler service depends on the RPC service.

Click Start, run, and in the box type (including important space after the "equal" sign):

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Click OK to assign the RPC service for the print spooler service, and then make sure that the RPC Service is running and start your Print Spooler Service.

If you still can not understand it, react with the items that you see the tab of the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

Don't forget to restart and check that everything works correctly after each adjustment.

Please note that using the above command will effectively remove all the current (and perhaps old) Print Spooler dependency assigned for the Print Spooler Service and assign it only dependent on the RPC Service.  It would be 'normal '.

The dependence of CPP Service would be typical of most facilities, or after you have uninstalled all the time some printers (Lexmark), but your printer may have a few other dependencies.  If it still does not respond, we'll fix it!

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

Original title : XP Printer Spooler error - tried

I rebooted several times, all cleaned and everything, I'm stumped.  Any who have suggestions or you know why nothing works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Actually, no.  What I was referring to came from http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm .

Usually, this will do a good job of cleaning of the drivers with Windows 2000 and later versions (not the case with Windows NT 4).

If the print spooler service is not running, or you want to make sure that there are no remains of printer driver, follow the instructions below, or use the cleanspl.exe of Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 Resource Kit (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&DisplayLang=en).  cleanspl.exe Windows 2003 Resource Kit tools works on Windows XP.

    Some information about cleanspl.exe:

    • cleanspl.exe did a very thorough job of cleaning the print spooler stuff, but it does not remove the dependence of the spooler service on the Lexmark service (see Special on Lexmark printer drivers information).

    • You can use it to clean the stuff of spooler on another computer (i.e. remote).

    • When you run it, it asks you if you want to remove things that are actually delivered (and installed by default) with Windows.  In most cases, you need No corresponding guests (you won't remove the Port TCP/IP Standard or BJ language monitor).

  • 0x800706b9 print spooler error

    I have a 8.1 Microsoft Windows and a HP Desktop 2512.

My computer no longer recognises my printer. I keep receiveing an error of 0x800706b9 print spooler

I tried the net start spooler command, but that has failed. What to do next? Help, please!

    Hey @crod57,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are no longer able to print from your computer Windows 8.1 for the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 2512 as your computer reports a 'print spooler error: 0x800706b9'. I would like to help you today with the resolution of this error of print spooler. Now, just so you know, the print spooler is a feature of your operating system. It is integrated with your Windows computer. Essentially, it's the printing system built into your computer. Printers rely on the print spooler works to print. The spooler is not specific to HP. So, I will be able to offer you a few steps of standard troubleshooting on the computer. However, if the problem persists you may need to talk with Microsoft Product Support or your computer manufacturer to solve this problem of operating system. That being said, can I please have you follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

    Step 1: Check print spooler:

    1. Open your screen to Start by clicking the Windows button on the lower left side of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run
    3. Click Run to launch the run dialogue box
    4. In the run box, type services.msc and click OK
    5. When the Services window opens scroll down until you see the print spooler
    6. Click Print Spooler once just to highlight
    7. If you Start in the upper left corner that indicates that your print spooler is actually stopped (not good). But we will leave that for now.
    8. If you stop or restart in the upper left corner, this indicates that your print spooler is actually started. Please click on stop to stop the service momentarily.
    9. Reduce this window which will allow us to come back here

Step 2: Check the spooler folder:

    1. Reopen your splash screen
    2. Computertype. Click on the computer (or on This PC) when it fills so
    3. In the computer window, select your Drive C
    4. Click on Windows
    5. Click on System32
    6. Click on the reel
    7. Click PRINTERS. You can get permissions to a warning, just continue beyond that.
    8. PRINTERS of the folder must be empty. If there is no file here, they are corrupt print jobs. Right click on anything in that folder and 'delete' files.
    9. Close the PRINTERS folder

Step 3: Start Spooler and audit dependencies:

1 open the Services window we previously minimized

    2. click on print spooler to highlight

    3. click on Start in the upper left corner

    4. If you get an error message please take note of this

    5. If the print spooler starts successfully you will see "stop and restart" as your options at the top left

    6. then, double left click on print spooler. A print spooler properties window is now open. Click the connection tab at the top. Can you please make sure that it is set to Local System account and make sure that the check box is selected to "Allow the Service to interact with desktop".

    7. then click on the tab "dependencies". Please check which dependencies are listed. I need to know this if the problem persists when you have completed the steps I provide in this post.

    8. click on apply and OK for any changes that you have made the log tab. Close the Services window.

Once the Print Spooler Service has started successfully, you should be able to access your printer HP Deskjet under devices and printers on your computer folder Windows 8.1. Also, you should be able to print. Can I please have you test the impression at this stage to confirm that the print spooler error has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • Devices and printers suspendusent/Print Spooler error causing printing issues

Hello fellow forum participants and Rangers.

As of recent, I had questions on our servers with regard to printing problems.  The problem would be to randomly appear and disappear without notice.  I tried to diagnose the problem by activating the event handler, but the event handler was not able to provide any specific error in addition "a timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a response from the spooler service transaction.  Whenever I try to open "devices and printers", the window would without constantly/eventually without loading anything.  I would also add that the problem starts when the user connecting.

    I tried the things:

    (1) sometimes restarting the PC would magically make it work.

    (2) restart Printerspooler fix the problem

    (3) automatic setting rather than manual Bluetooth function has failed.  (has worked for most of the people similar/same problem).

    (4) we tried to reload the drivers.  Temporary solution, but the printing problem happen again.

Any help would be highly appreciated and sorry for the wall of text.  This question led me into the wall!  Thanks in advance.

I had problems with my print spooler service on my computer.  When I try to print something, I get an error message indicating that the print spooler is not running.  I watched a lot of videos on how to enter the admin tools and try to start the print spooler by setting it to start automatically or manually launch myself and every time I tried I get only an error print spooler (1068) could not start.  I already took my computer to a local technician and he managed to solve the problem temporarily.  But the problem is now back and I was wondering if there is anyone who has information on how to quickly solve this problem (hopefully permanently) without having to buy all those stupid software downloads on the internet who rarely work.  Please if you have any information, I would be very grateful.

most likely the spooler is a failure after install the driver.  Because the spooler is not running, you will need to check what drivers. print processors and language monitors that the spooler is trying to load.  Bruce has a few instructions.  I guess you ran the utility software troubleshooting print already.
