  I understand that you have reset your computer and therefore you can not find the installed applications.

  Reset your PC reinstall Windows and deletes all files, settings and applications, apps that came with your PC are stored, so you will not be able to find these applications.

  As far as updates are concerned, I suggest you to install automatically as it will only install updates that are applied to your computer that are required.

  You should be able to play the games, even if the updates are not installed.

  Go to applications > utilities > activity monitor and you should be able to find and kill these processes. Then try to reinstall.
