  Hey guys,.

  Does anyone know how to search a Word document for a string and the location to which the string was found out?

  The closest I can find is .vi NI_Word.lvclass:Word find & replace (str), which looks like this:

  

  But it isn't the replacement by using the find command and is not out of any beach to find.

  To elaborate on my final goal:

  I'm trying to add an array of pages to my report. The pages are identical except for specific values in the page, so I'm charging as a second Word document template and inserting this doc in the main model. There are two images on each page, but the only way to insert an image in the report Word uses a bookmark or range. Unfortunately, you can't duplicate bookmarks, so only the generated pages bookmarks if I try to use them. It is here, I have run into problems and am hoping to use a channel known to each page (from the model) to locate the place where I need to insert images.

  That looks like VBA for me.  If so, you can try to make your own function modified as follows:

  • (Quoting Microsoft): to specify a graphic object or other nontext item as the replacement, place this item in the Clipboard and specify "^ c" for ReplaceWith.
  • The entrance to 'Replace' says the number of replacements to perform, including 0 (do not substitute).

• application does not work after compiling (Toolbox of database and report gen toolkit).

  I wrote an application that uses the Toolbox of data base and tools to generate report to retrieve data from a database, put in a Word doc, save the Word document and print it.  It works fine when I run the vi, but when I build and run it, it does nothing.   I tried all the settings in the project manager that I think could help, but it still doesn't work right.  LabVIEW 8.2.1, XP.

  That url describes a workaround solution is to first create a file in Excel, save and then writing adds to it.  This is something that users of my compiled application will simply not do.

  Writing File.vi measure generates tab limited text files but only takes some input signals.

  I would take my array of strings and simply write that in a limited file tab.  Is there really no way to go in LabVIEW without spending $500 one another?

  I migrated my project Labview 8.5 Report Generation Toolkit V1.1.2 to Labview report Generation Toolkit V9.0.0 2009 system.

  In this project, I use the report generation tool to print a Standard report with e bit of tables and graphs.

  The Report.vi of printing VI now offers the 41002 error with the text "invalid printer name. I, of course installed the right printer on the machine.

  I Don t one connection at the entrance of 'Printer name' string of VI, because I want to use the default printer.

  In my opinion, West one bug in the Report.vi of printing: If you don t the "printer name" input wire, the vi must use the default printer, but in this case the vi connects the entry blank chain at the entrance of the node method he calls.

  I fixed this bug, but the node method always returns the same error.

  For some reason I can´t find this specific article in the knowledge base (my browser is rerouted always to the German of ni.com version, because I'm in Austria). I tried to search for the exact title of this article and the error message string, but no result...

  I also installed Labview 8.5 and the toolboxes 'old' on my new computer in addition to Labview 2009 and the 'new' toolboxes and tested my program to 8.5. Here, I got an error mentioning the margins and I had to change the margin for printing settings, then worked.

  After reading the article, I applied the same changes to the margins in the 2009 version of my program and it works too!

  I wrote first of all, that West might be a bug in the new version of Report.vi printing, but I ve compared to the old version and there seems to be no bug, sorry!

  After all, I decided to stay with Labview 8.5 for now, due to another problem:

  It s not possible to "save the previous version" of LV2009 to LV8.5 directly.

  Laview grave failure, when a VI contains a structure of the event I found by looking in the "known issues", and I have a lot of report with the structures of the event!

  I must have the ability to save my projects Labview 8.0 and 8.5. The only way is to save for 8.6 and then save 8.6 to 8.5.

  My client says that its installation of Thunderbird has enabled by default for attachments .pdf open and print the attachment without having to 'save' the attachment first.   Open the Thunderbird configuration dialog box by selecting tools-> Options in the menu. Click on the Attachments tab, and then entering the labeled tab. Locate the item in the list of .pdf files and select the desired default download behavior. Please let us know if that answers your question.

• VI LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit elements in a TestStand sequence does not work with a LabVIEW 8.5 run-time engine

  Hi all

  I'm using LabVIEW 8.5.1 and TestStand 4.1. I did a sequence TestStand with a VI in this document, which uses items Report Generation Toolkit. On my machine I use LabVIEW and TestStand development system license. On another machine I use TestStand with basic deployment license and I chose the LabVIEW 8.5 run-time engine in the Configuration of the adapter. Everything works well except this VI with elements of Report Generation Toolkit. The error message shows that the VI is not executable. It works well only after I installed with a trial license and selected LabVIEW LabVIEW 8.5 development system in the Configuration of the adapter.

• How to get the Pages to print postcards correspondence without borders/maps?

  I have Pages 5.6.2 and I'm unable to print postcards correspondence without borders/cards. I have the margins are set to 0 and each adjustment in the format I can think.  What I'm missing!  Is there a simple fix or is this not possible?  (I was able to do this in Publisher before moving on to my Macbook Pro - so I know this isn't my printer).  I'm extremely frustrated - thanks for your help.

  Did you install the latest printer driver for your printer and selected in your printer dialog?

  Postcards and cards being generally smaller than the usual printed sheet, they are usually implemented in multiple on a page, so what you print on and how they are arranged on the page?

• How to print two images on one page?

  Can someone tell me how to print two or more images of the Photos app on a single page?  I often print on fabric and should be able to print multiple photos on a single sheet.  This would also work if I could place photos exactly an area of 8.5 "x 11".  Then I could simply make several passes with each photo in a different location.

  I would like to generate a report in WORD using the report generation toolkit.

  Whenever a text is added to the report, the program should put part of the text index. The problem I am facing with is to set the cursor position in the current location of the text.

  I think that's what you wanted (see attachment).

  First, you must set position for each loop, so after adding the table, your cursor index need to increase the number of added characters. That's why I have included the text of the report, Append - to get the position of the cursor at the end.

  Indexing begins with 0, so you need to set the 3 and 7.

  I'm looking to download the 2010 labview report generation tool. When I proceed to download the Toolkit on the site of the national instrumnets, it says that I need LabVIEW 2011 or later in order to install it.
