Printer all of a sudden not to communicate with the laptop and cannot print, possibly because of antivirus software?

All of a sudden I can't print from my laptop, wireless or via the USB port.  I get an error message "the printer does not."  I did the dx/repair and was able to print a test page, but that's all.  I would like to know if it would be because of my antivirus/firewall software?

I use Windows 8 on an HP laptop.  Security software is Norton.  This has never happened before and I "ve been using this Norton subscription for at least 8 months, maybe longer.

Is there something I can do in Norton settings to solve this problem?

    Well, I played recent MMO and to do this, I had to update my sound drivers and graphics. I managed to finish my first uninstall all the old drivers-flawless and it worked perfectly thereafter with no video issues (that I had before the uninstall, but nothing harmful to the system). Eventually however, I started to get some pop ups Windows 2008 C++ REDIS saying that atieclxx.exe had asked to be terminated in an unusual way. No problem, I close the error message and everything always works as it should. No random crashes.

    My problem is that wermgr.exe (I am fairly certain that this is the title, but I did not work right now), began leaving me with a black screen and the cursor when I connect. In most cases, I can open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete, however, it sometimes won't start, and when I start to kill unnecessary tasks, they take some time to die. I know that black screens are often a defective start of explorer.exe, which manages office and file, browsers so I use the Task Manager to run it and it dies or continues to do nothing without making the office. Whenever this happens, wermgr.exe was running (Windows error handler). When I kill this task, which often has duplicates, I can finally get explorer.exe to load. I have the same problem with safe mode, except that the display shows the version of windows and the details in each corner until explorer.exe load finally. I've also had freezing issues long whenever Werfault.exe jump upward and the only thing that those fixed has been disable Werfault.exe in the services menu.
    It is clear to me that the windows error reporting programs consume a lot of the capacity of the CPU of my computer and they are probably the source of the biggest problems I'm having. I should stop start, or they are just neutral, awakened by a bigger problem?
    On a smaller note, C++ error is probably due to me not having is not the correct edition of the redistributable C++ installed, or perhaps too many distributions. The last edition, I have installed is 10.0.40219 of the x 86 and x 64 redistributable and runtimes (2010). Are the oldest, I installed some updates ATL and 5 2005 Redistributable (2 x 64 versions). Atieclxx.exe is the program having the pop-ups demand 'unusual termination. " The version of my ATI Radeon drivers are included in Version 2012.1116.1515.27190 of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center.
    Now, finally, I think it's useless, I'll give you my specs:

    Printing is fine and just impossible to scan.

    I tried to solve the problem of scanner/copy of the measures:

    If you just try to make a copy with the printer, it works? You see on the screen of the printer error messages? Copy of Documents. Also, if you lift the lid of the scanner during the copy process, you see a light come ON and the scanner bar moving?

    In the meantime, please, try the procedure described in this guide, a message 'no computer found' for HP Officejet 6810 and HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-all-in-one printerand let me know what happens!

The error message suggests that I unplug and plug back the power plug and the USB cable to the printer and make sure that there are no restrictions of firewall to the printer. I did what was suggested and still no printing. I have resinstaled the printer from the CD software, I got with the computer and also installed the latest driver using the software of the software upgrade wizard.

    That would not have been the best idea... but it is unlikely that the cause of your immediate problem.

    I suspect that what really happens is that the driver has become corrupted.  In many cases, simply reinstall the driver is not fix things; you have to clean the old corrupt driver before installing the new.  Thus, it is more likely that the part "Uninstall" the related response is what is helping rather than playing with services... but go ahead and follow these directions, just in case.  In fact, I suggest that you run under first antimalware scanners before following the tips in the above link.

    If I had not found the link above, that's what I would have suggested (whichrequires that you have Windows XP):

    Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs.

    Use the free version, not the free trials of "pro" versions  Pay attention during installation uncheck any prechecked boxes that would install some additional third-party programs.

    Do not run the scans at the same time.  Each scan will take a while.  Start one and go do a non-it chore.  Once the scan is finished, leave the program to deal with anything it finds.

    Once done, you can keep or uninstall programs, or both.  If you keep SAS, I suggest to change its default setting does NOT automatically when Windows starts.

    Close all running applications (anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    Run the Fixit routine.  Note: The routine Fixit has two modes, light and complete.  It will run in full mode when you check the box "Reset the spooler to print on values."  This will remove all printers, so if you have any other printer installed, I recommend running the Fixit in full mode.  If you have other printers and you do not (necessarily) want to reinstall them, run the Fixit in light mode (box unchecked).  This may work anyway.  You must restart the computer after you run in full mode; you need not restart after the Chase mode.

    My printer was previously fine, suddenly stopped printing yesterday.  It allows to print pages of test etc, but my computer is not able to communicate with the printer.

    I tried to use HP help desk services to find the problem, but they are unable to locate the device, even if it is connected.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall it also does not solve the problem.  I connected with a USB, but still I can not print.  I also tried to go to the menu on the printer wireless and challenging WPS put up while pressing the WPS button on my router, but again without success.

    I printed a wireless network Test report and it says Network name (SSID) Found - in case of failure.  However, the correct network name (SSID) appears correctly in the Configuration Summary further to the bottom of the report.

    Can someone help, I'm completely puzzled and frustrated.

    I see that you are having problems with the printer is recognized by a USB connection. I'd love to help you.

    Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Try a different USB port on the computer. Try another USB cable.

    If you use Windows, try the following steps to see if it will be useful. Do not take into account the title.

    "Device setup has not completed" or the "Unknown device" Message appears in Windows during Installation of USB.

    For two Solution: Software Troubleshootingif the printer will not be updated, then right click and uninstall the printer, you can also have one for mass storage device, uninstall it too. Then disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to see if it will install the driver successfully.

    You will have to perhaps completely uninstall and reinstall the printer software, once the entries are removed from the printer in the Device Manager. Follow the rest of the document to disable startup programs to eliminate interference.

    Test the printer.

    You recently reinstall the operating system? If so, have you installed the drivers in the order?
    How to download and install drivers in the correct order

    First run delete print jobs to remove all print jobs stuck in the queue.

    Unplug the printer.

    Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

    Restart your computer.

    Now you can install the printer using the Dell Printer 924 disc.

    Also try this tweak...

    Go into Device Manager (right click on my computer, left click Properties, material of the left click, left click Device Manager)

    Go to the section USB controller, and then click the plus sign +.

    Go to each USB hub root and right-click on it, on the left, click Properties, on the left, click power management. Uncheck the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    Restart your computer.
