printer Envy 4504: envy - 4504 printer

I just bought a HP Envy 4504. the first document I sent to the printer has been a problem.

the paper continues to print without interruption. more than a 100 pages should be printed. There is a botton cancel on the printer Panel, but pressing it doesn't make any difference. no other print jobs print only the first task that has been sent to the printer.

are there any action on the computer screen that I can go to cancel printing or to see the queue?

I would like to help you today with this copy multiple print jobs which continues to print from your HP ENVY 4504 e-all-in-one printer.  However, in order for me to provide you with a precise support today, I must say if your printer is connected via a USB Câble connection or the network connection to your computer Windows 10?

What is important is because it will help us to identify this problem. If networked, the router can constantly send the signal 'print' your printer to print several times that the job. If USB connected, the print job may be "stuck" in the print spooler on your computer and which is the cause of print without interruption. The print spooler is the printing system integrated into Windows computers. It controls all of the printers for printing, regardless of the brand or model. The print spooler to be corrupted, impression of the problems, as you are having, can occur.

NOTE: To cancel the print jobs to the computer, if a print job in the print queue you will see the printer icon on the task bar of your computer down at run time. Double click on this icon to view the print queue and cancel the job manually. If no icon print, open devices and printers. Right click on your HP Envy. Left click on see what's printing. The print queue is now open.

For now, please power OFF your printer. If networked, can you please disconnect the power cable from your router. If connected via a USB cable, please unplug the cable USB from the printer and the computer.  Once disconnected please follow the steps below to ensure your computer's Print Spooler Service.

  • Step 1: Check print spooler:
  1. Click Start
  2. 'Ask Me anything' enter run.
  3. Click Run to launch the run dialogue box
  4. In the run box, type services.msc and click OK
  5. When the Services window opens scroll down until you see the print spooler
  6. Click Print Spooler once just to highlight
  7. If you Start in the upper left corner that indicates that your print spooler is actually stopped (not good). But we will leave that for now.
  8. If you stop or restart in the upper left corner, this indicates that your print spooler is actually started. Please click on stop to stop the service momentarily.
  9. Reduce this window which will allow us to come back here
  • Step 2: Check the spooler folder:
  1. Reopen your splash screen
  2. Computertype. Click on the computer (or on This PC) when it fills so
  3. In the computer window, select your Drive C
  4. Click on Windows
  5. Click on System32
  6. Click on the reel
  7. Click PRINTERS. You can get permissions to a warning, just continue beyond that.
  8. PRINTERS of the folder must be empty. If there is no file here, they are corrupt print jobs. Right click on anything in that folder and 'delete' files.
  9. Close the PRINTERS folder
  • Step 3: Start Spooler and audit dependencies: 
  1. Open the Services window we previously minimized
  2. Click print spooler to highlight
  3. Click Start in the upper left corner. If you get an error message please take note of it
  4. If the print spooler starts successfully you will see "stop and restart" as your options at the top left
  5. Close the Services box

Once the print spooler has been started, please turn on your printer. Then, plug the router or connect the USB cable. The printer must stay in the ready state. If the printer is in ready state, please send a test print from your computer to your printer.

  • HP Envy 4504: Envy 4504 photo prints too red with print quality = better

    I hope someone can help.

    On my HP Envy 4504 photos are printed OK print normal quality, but when the print quality is set to best photos are printed to the red. In addition, with DPI Maximum printing photos are much too red.

    This takes place two times printed on paper Normal and on Photo paper

    With the GIMP, I tried to make an example of how a photoprint looks like.

    I made the example by changing the color Balance: Red cyan - about + 40:

    (my GIMP is Dutch...)

    I have already completely remove the software HP Envy and did a clean reinstall. No change.

    I have print-head - cleaning cycles (2 times); color of HP-testprint strips looks very good: all are strong in alignment is correct

    Unfortunately: No picture change in best quality still too red.

    The ink levels are okay.

    Any suggestions what is wrong and what can solve this problem?

    I noticed that your HP Envy 4504 prints photo is too red with print quality = best on Windows 10 operating system. I'm happy to help you!

    Where a setting is disabled, with GIMP, have you tried to print photo quality with other programs? If so, what happened?

    You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

    None of your ink cartridges are low or empty?

    In the meantime, please make sure that all the steps in this guide, fixing poor print quality are executed. And let me know what happens!

  • 4504 envy: Envy 4504 Print cell phone

    Use my desire without problem for almost 2 years.  Then 2 weeks back, it will not print from one of our MacBookPros Yosemite 10.10.5 running.   I can 'see' the printer to the page in the printer preferences and impression, but when I try to print, it just hangs and says that it cannot connect to the printer.   He will not also scan or even copy.

    I can print by sending the document to my email at hpeprint.com - and have run all diagnostics and all controls very well. It is well connected to the same network, but just used ' talk to my laptop.

    Curiously, I can turn off the wire, then back on immediately and can print only 1 document.  Then it connects again.

    I tried all the remedies I can find online... would be great to get printing still like use us our offie home and can't print anything!

    What happens when you try to copy the scanner glass? You see error messages on the printer?

    You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

    In the meantime, please try a hard reset by following the instructions contained in this message, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector.

    Try to print again and let me know what happens!

  • HP Envy 4504: Printer prints well recognized by the computer

    My printer does not print despite the right driver installed etc.  My computer recognizes the printer, and it is defined as the default value.  I used print and scan doctor several times without success.  It recognizes the printer but then when it goes to the "communicating with your printer" window, the green line gets three quarters along and then it just stays at that.  Printer is connected via usb.

    The other info I have for you, is my computer crashed a week ago (has been hacked) and therefore had to have everything (including windows) re-installed (done by a professional not me :-)  Etc. print driver has been reinstalled at the time (from online), but has not worked since.

    I would be very grateful for any help that you can provide as I use the printer for my home business.

    Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand since your WIndows 8.1 computer crashed, you are able to print to your HP Envy 4504 nolonger. You have the software and drivers resettled but when you attempt to print it is unable to communicate with the printer.

    I would like you to follow the steps below:

    1. perform a clean boot: How to perform a boot in Windows

    2. now, go ahead and use the System File Checker: use the tool File Checker system to repair missing or corrupted system files

    3 uninstall/reinstall:

    1. disconnect the USB key if you use a direct connection.

    2. remove the software HP Envy 4504 to uninstall from the control panel of your computers an option of the program.

    3. restart the computer.

    4. make sure that all the software 4504 envy has disappeared from the list of programs, but also your HP folder listed under all programs in your Start Menu.

    5. now, go ahead and start to download and install your Windows HP Printer Driver and software for a USB cable connection

    * DO NOT CONNECT USB UNTIL THE SOFTWARE INVITES YOU TO *.

    Printing from my chromebook works very well... in color, but not in black and white. The cartridge is bad? (the black and white cartridges inklevel is full)

    Try to take it and let it sit nozzzles for a few hours, and then reinstall. More details in the link below...

  • HP ENVY 4504: HP ENVY 4504 does not print black ink even with full cartridge

    Used by my office printer is not printing black ink. It does not, it is out of black ink, but anything on a page I print requiring black ink is absent. I checked the cartridge to see if she had missed and the printer was not to tell me, but she didn't. I also tried to put in a new black ink cartridge, but it wouldn't print black to help anyone.

    There is no problem with color printing and the problem started only today. The black cartridge is certainly compatible with this printer as it had been good working with it so far.

    Ink cartridge information after doing all the recommendations of HP:

    Once you check the vents turn the cartridge and check the underside near the opening of the ink.  They can be of four plastic tabs near the opening are resurrected.  Make sure that the raised tabs are removed and made flush with the body of the cell.  This will cause the cartridge do not do sit properly in all of the print head and cause air that are expected.  This will affect especially the black ink cartridge.

    In particular, let us know if you find the above to be true.

    No, 2 black cartridges do not work, the printer must print cartridges three colors. You can configure your printer to print in black only, this will use very few colors. Please use the following steps:

    (b) click on set preferences.
    (c) click on advanced.
    d select "black ink only" for printing in grayscale
    e click Ok /apply .

  • 4504 envy: How to cancel a print job of 58 pages sitting in 4504 envy

    I tried to cancel a 58-page print job, sitting in the printer. Work has been queued completely into the printer.

    The printer has a page fault after he printed page 4. say a page was too long to print. 2 pages had slipped into set. I followed all of the usual forms - no paper stuck not, reset button, etc.  but nothing has worked.

    Currently, I have the printer off.

    I was thinking about the uninstallation of the machine and reloading maybe that could break the cycle.

    This printer is less than a year and was used only rarely now.

    Please read this post then provide some details.  There the error messages on the computer screen or the printer?  The printer goes through the motions of printing, but the pages are blank?

    If the printer is reported as offline http://www.hp.com/go/tools diagnostics can help solve the problem.  Download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.

    I see that you are experiencing some printing problems when you attempt to print from microsoft word 2013.

    I have some suggestions that we can try.

    First, check the Microsoft web page for updates that may be available for the Word program.

    Disable firewall or anti virus protection before printing.

    Run the print HP and Scan Doctor just in case a problem is with the HP software.

    I understand that you are unable to print in color on your HP Envy 4504 printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

    You are able to print a test highlighted report? The printer prints a blank Page or does not black print or ink color for the HP ENVY 4500 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 3540 e-all-in-One Printer Series.

    The problem only occurs when printing from Mac? It seems that there is a problem with the printer driver. Please see these instructions by my colleague Anti-double-U-di.

    Publish:

    10.10 yosemite, foot, make sure you have the latest updates, including Apple updates as well as updates from HP by Apple Software Update (ASU), currently HP printer software update Ver3.0

    Look for the updates (ASU) Apple
    1. click on the Apple in the left menu bar
    2. click on "about this Mac".
    3. click the button of "software updates... »
    4. make sure that the "Updates" icon is selected, click on 'Store' in the top menu
    5. click on 'reload the Page.
    6. install the HP updates (look for the last 'HP Printer Software Update"by the version number)

    Note: If you can't print or scan if he is an all-in-one HP printer, and then follow the steps below.

    Delete the print queue HP printer

    Before continues, the following steps will remove all printers to printers and Scanners, you may need your software and drivers for the printers to re - install if it is not part of the Apple software updates.

    Reset the printing system:
    1. open System Preferences
    2. open Printers and scanners
    3. on the left side where would be referred to as printers, right click and select "reset printing system...". »
    4. click on the "Reset" button when asked to confirm
    5. Enter your password, and then click OK (if prompted)

    Repair disk permissions
    1. in the Finder, click Applications
    2. open the Utilities folder
    3. double-click on the disk utility
    4. on the left side, click on the hard drive which has Yosemite 10.10 installed to highlight
    5. click on the "repair disk permissions" nearly half lower the window (time may vary to finish)
    6. what repairs completed, a message near the bottom window 'Fix full permissions', now you can close the disk utility
    7. click on the Apple in the upper left corner, click "Restart" to restart your Mac

    Manually the drivers of HP printer install v3.0

    2. click on the button 'Download' (remember where your download is if your downloads are not on the dock)
    3. open the "HPPrinterDrviers3.0.dmg".
    4. double-click on the "HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg".
    5. click on the continue"" button.
    6. After reading the license agreement, click the continue"" button.
    7. click on the button "I agree" If you agree
    8. click on the drive that Yosemite 10.10 is installed on and click on continue
    9. click on the 'Install' button (this will install the drivers for HP to your Mac)
    10. Enter your password, and then click the button 'Install Software' (if prompted)
    11. click on the "Close" button when the message "installation succeeded."

    Add a printer to print the queue
    1. open System Preferences
    2. open Printers and scanners
    3. click on the symbol ' + '.
    4. click on "Add a printer or a Scanner..." »
    5. click on "HP Envy printer 4504.
    6. click on the drop down menu to "use:" and choose "HP Envy 4504 Series."
    7. click on the ' Add ' button.

    Try to print in color.

  • ENVY 4500 that partially prints a page

    4500 newly installed FANCY, use wifi. Prints either: only two pages, be two third of a page of what any. HP Print and Scan doctor, test page seems OK with all colors represented, but it is only printed on the top half of the page (not sure what the page should look like). With the help of WIndows 8 and the error message: "printer could not print word / PDF etc ' when printing stops. I tried shutting down and turn both machines. Can someone help me please? I'm not the most techie of people's minds.

    I have a similar problem with my HP Envy 4504.

    I use Windows 7 service pack 1 and a 64 bit system.

    When I print documents that are greater than a page of the printer does not print the entire document.

    Now he stopped after 4/7 pages, a few moment a go after 3/7 pages. Even a 2 page document prints only half.

    I get no error. The printer stops just feel like at some point to a page... I reinstalled the drivers twice and have the same problem on two devices that are connected to the printer (one of them is a computer hp laptop).
