• Printer has gone offline and will not now come online

  I have a printer HP laserjet P1600dn running on a hp with Windows 7 {64-bit} touchsmart520.  The printer is online when I went to bed last night; She is now in offline mode and will not come back on line.

  First thing I tried was to change the USB port.  Without success.  Then I changed the usb cable.  Without success, I pulled the power plug, waited 30 seconds and plugged in.  Nothing.  After each step, I restarted the computer.

  I am at a loss.  Someone at - it any other ideas?

  I'm sorry, but it seems that the printer is fried. You can try the steps outlined in the document below. If this does not work, try to do a hard reset. If those who do not work, you need to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

• HP 6980 Series printer, networking, going offline

  Printer is connected via a USB port. a few changed kit and my computer man said it would be more efficient to use an Ethernet connection on the printer to the hub broadband now.

  Whenever I turn on the PC or laptop, the printer has an offline state.  I must, in Control Panel, remove the device, and then add it before I can print.

  Both PC and laptop running Windows 7.

  Suggestions please as to how to remedy this situation would be appreciated.

• HP ENVY 5530 e allin one: my printer keeps showing offline, tried many things to try to resolve including uninstall.

  Help.  I'm at a total loss what to do next.  My printer is telling me it is disconnected.  I was on different websites and downloaded the troubleshooting to solve the problem.  When I ran the computer troubleshooting somes back saying the printer isn't switiched, although it most certainly is.  Have uninstalledd the software and installed again.   Number of brand and model of the router?

  These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

  • Stay connected to your router
  • Trouble printer status 'offline '.
  • All wireless devices stay better connected
  • Fact faith, your router most secure and hack
  • Can speed up wireless printing

  While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After setting the IP address static, computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports. 

  1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary.   2. Or check in the printer "Auto Off/sleep/Energy Saving Mode" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check your printer properties.
  3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
  4. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a socket wall and not to a UPS, power strip or a lightning arrestor. This will cause the printer to drop offline connection and disconnection (checked yes!).

• 313w printer has left

  I have a 313w printer that has stopped printing.  Window opens indicating 'impression', but nothing happened.  After several attempts, I tried the new facility.  Now, I can't even the printer to work with usb cable (nothing happens, although says "printing"), and shows that the wireless orange light. I do not have the Wi Fi Protected button on router (it does not), so I'm lost how to get this printer is installed and working.  The printer refers to the method of the PIN, but I do not know where to enter that info. Any ideas?  Thank you.

  Problem solved.   Apparently uninstall doesn't remove all.  Has gone through the list and there was an another listed 313. Once who has been uninstalled, everything went well.  TX for you time.

• Printer HP 2605dn offline with Windows 7

  Printer returned to offline mode.  She does regularly every 2-6 months for 5 or 6 years I've owned it.  Tried to remove & reinstall, tried both the printer & off the computer.  Nothing works for now.

  Sometimes, it is an easy offline & closing all & restart will fix it.

  Other times, like now, it's a hard Offline where anything I did before fix it.  Printer refuses to go back online.

  My router has an IP set reserved 0-9, the 10 IP printer, for example 192.168.0.10 tried to manually set the printer to match the assigned port but always in offline mode.  Even when I operate, after 2 months, it is assigned port IP changes to some random # and it goes offline again.

  Any suggestion is appreciated.  Very tired of this problem with HP.

  Thank you very much.  I managed to do the work.  It does not appear the Windows-7 periodically loses the lease on intellectual property and assigns it elsewhere.   In this case the printer had a fixed IP address and that the IP was reserved for the MAC address of the printer in my router DHCP Server.

  However, this didn't stop Windows 7 from the creation of a new device and assigning the IP address.     I removed the new feature of Windows 7 and my old Windows printer and created a new printer in Windows and made sure he used this IP address.

  I should also mention to try to use latest PCL6 HP "universal printer drivers.  These most recent allow double-sided printing which allows to make my printer itself.  The old drivers (PCL5) do not support this.

  You can keep a copy of archive of pilot practical (I have a folder of source programs) in case you need to reinstall.

  The printer has changed its own police force.  I can't find anything to restore.  It is incredibly small and difficult to read.  I tried to restore the default values that did not work.

  OK when you open firefox go to file > Page Setup > ladder.

  Change the size of the scale and see if it makes a difference when you print.

  How long have you leave the charge for the iPad? It will take at least 30 minutes on the charger before an iPad with a completely dead battery react. Be sure to use the charger supplied with the iPad, or its equivalent. Do not recharge an iPad by connecting it to a USB port on the computer. After 30 minutes on the charger to reset the iPad. Press and hold the Home button and the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the appliance restarts. You lose no data by doing this. It's like a restart of the computer.

  If the unit still doesn't start not to make an appointment at an Apple store to have a technician look at your device. Or contact the Apple Support.

  The problem is not yet ressolved. The printer cannot connect to the wireless router.

  Test report says wireless network name (SSID) found "Fail".

• OfficeJet 4620: printer keeps going offline

  OfficeJet 4620 - printer keeps going offline.  If I turn it on and turn it on, it's online for a while, but it disconnects again.  My IPad can't print on it. My Windows laptop, 10 shows as offline.  I can open his web page by entering the IP address in a browser and can ping it, but it also shows offline.  It is very annoying to have to reset the printer whenever I want to print to it wireless.  Is this to say that the wireless antenna is going wrong?  Should I buy a new printer?

  I found what caused my problem when troubleshooting the installation of a new printer. I have 2 range Extenders. They had the same ssid as my router. One of the reports of tests of the new printer had a warning about it. I changed the range extenders in order to have all 3 different SSID. Now when the ipad & printer are that both connected using the ssid for the range extender in the room with the printer, there is no problem of ipad impression. My old printer is fine.
