Printer is offline due to error usb

Hello - my HP all-in-one C309a printer is off line. Although the wireless and bluetooth light is blue (as all the GB) there is a message saying that I need to remove a usb device not recognized by the printer. Although I used a USB several days ago to analyze some elements (which worked fine), I immediately removed the player as soon as my scanner has been completed.

This error message will not go away and my computer continues to say that the printer is offline. I reset my router, rest my printer and even unplugged my printer from the wall for several minutes. I don't know how to remove a device that is not connected to the printer. I can't launch the HP doctor because it cannot communicate with the printer. Help, please! Thank you!

Hello

Please try the below mentioned steps...

  1. While the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Also unplug other cables connected.
  3. Restart the PC.
  4. Wait 60 seconds.
  5. Connect the power cord to the printer. He should be able to, another press to do.

    Hi maggie101952,

Thank you for the information on the computer.

I would like to run a few things with you and with a little luck, we can get to the bottom of this issue.

You have a memory card or a USB key connected to the printer?  If Yes, please remove and restart the printer.  Try printing without anything cards or USB connected.

If is not the case, I'll give you the link for HP Photosmart 7520 series firmware update.  If the error is still popping up, the issue could be with the product it self.  I suggest you then call HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. • Can not re - install Photosmart C4480 and get the error "printer is offline and error 41"

Hello. I had some corrupted files Windows and don't update. As I put everything I like, I think I can't reinstall my HP Photosmart C4480 printer.

    My system:

    Sony Vaio, 64-bit

    Windows 8

    What I see:

When I physically connect the printer via USB, the computer does not recognize that something has been connected. A flash drive inserted into the same port is recognized, so I don't think it's a problem of port.

I tried a different printer cable with the same results, so don't think it's the cable

Tried to install via the Setup program, but it does not recognize the printer.

Tried to install manually several times. It usually looks like it installs, but impossible to print the test at the end of the installation page

I got several error messages include:

That not being able to communicate in both directions. I checked this setting and it is turned on

    Error 41

Printer is offline (the printer is connected and turned on)

After manual installation, the printer will appear in devices and printers and the print dialog box (after it hit Ctrl-P). In the dialog box, Photosmart is selected, but when I hit nothing print response happens - no printer and no printer icon appears in the taskbar

I would greatly appreciate the help and advice to solve this. Thank you!

    Hi Renee,.

This question might be incorrect or incompatible printer drivers installed on the computer. The State of a printer offline may be due not to the power of the printer. You must also ensure that network share can be disabled.

Error 41 problem occurs if you install a non-Plug-and-Play device driver, but Windows cannot find the device. Here are some things you can try to solve this problem.

  • My Lexmark printer stopped working and the error message says "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?).

When my printer stopped working because of error messages about "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?), I tried to change to 2nd USB port without success. I tried a new cable; that did not help.

Then I uninstalled and reinstalled my Lexmark printer and changed the error message. Now, the printer does not work because "the USB device is not recognized."

I tried to update the chips; Use 1 USB port; and using the old cable, all this without success. I checked the connections of the cable to the printer and the PC and turn on the printer and goes off; I'm out of ideas. Any other suggestions?

  • doing just that, means "the printer is offline"?

There must be an easy way and foolproof to get the printer started, but what is? Sometimes I managed, and sometimes I'm not. I try to unplug the power cord and the cord to connect my printer to my computer. I also delete jobs displayed in the status window. Usually, I repeat these steps several times. Then, when my printer feels like to leave, he will eventually start... usually.

While trying to fix my printer, I sometimes see the words, "the printer is offline. I guess that's one of the reasons why my printer does not work, but what it means, and what I can do about it?

I must add that this problem arises usually when a print job is interrupted due to a paper jam.  In addition, you must know that I have a Macintosh running OS 10.6.7 and I have a HP psc 1350 all-in-one printer-scanner-copier -.

    Hey!

Printer offline medium. It is not active now.

There could be a number of reasons...

Printer is not communicating with the computer.

    The printer is in "sleep".

    Lost wireless connection. etc...

Just to be safe. Your printer is ready (power light solid) mode

Then, select the printer icon and click on - sign to remove it. And click on + sign add it again.

It will search for the printer icon, and then will show you a list.

Just select your printer and click on Add.

However, I would like to know what type of connection you use.

    USB, ethernet or wireless.

Center solutions says printer is offline

I have a PSC 1315 printer I've used for several years on a system with Windows XP without any problems.  After buying an HP Pavilion 500 with Windows Pro 8.1, I migrated my printer to the new computer.  I have refused to use the original driver and was directed to download the latest driver and software for that printer from HP Web site.  At first, things seemed ok, until I stumbled upon several questions, which is this one.

The first two weeks, I didn't see this error in the solution Center, but all of a sudden it began to appear.  The first time I saw it, the printer is turned off (standby) and when I turned it on, the error has disappeared, and I was able to use the Solution Center.  Now (from last week), the error never goes away.  I've tried everything I can think of, including physically disconnect and reconnect the printer, run diagnostic printer, etc..  Nothing works.  I'm afraid that there was some automatic update that ruined the connectivity of its Solution.

Now, here is the information that will throw you a loop for: the printer works in all directions.  I am able to scan, character, etc. without any problems.  I can not just use Solution Center to do.

    1. is this a known issue, and what is the solution?
    2. how to disable all automatic updates for this printer and software?

  • HP eprint server offline? Connection error - 1

I installed a new photosmart 5520 Sunday and the man was cool.   Worked like a dream with the help of ePrint and Google cloud server.  I bought it to support a Samsung Chromebook's Google in need of a printer ready cloud.   Yesterday morning the print jobs are starting to have stuck in the print queue and not through.   The hpeprint site showd the printer as "offline" yet he was clearly on the internet as evidenced by the various reports, that I could print.    So... we assume the best action to remove the printer on the site of HP and re - register again.

After deleting the printer, I need to generate a new confirmation code to add the printer back again... followed the instructions to the letter, pressing the ePrint button to generate a new code to enter... nothing other than error messages.

A phone call last night at the HP eprint for assistance was immediately answered by a real person who says HP eprint servers had been up and down all day... and were offline.   Until they were still online, my printer won't talk to them... and no code has been sent.

Almost a day later I'm still not able to connect to the HP eprint servers.    Nothing in the news about the hacks on HP.  Nothing on this HP website or the forum about one or the other major global eprint server failure.   Odd.

Anyone else having a problem here?    Are the HP servers always down?   What can be done to re-establish the connection between the servers and my printer - button by pressing this darn eprint generates only a spinning wheel, followed by an error message-1 connection.

I found the problem... a few days after the condition appeared all of a sudden, it went just as suddenly.   I was on the phone with HP when the printer is back to life, so I learned why.    Seems HP rolled a big block of customers from one server to a new server... and I was in the limbo of roller for the HP Server.

I suggested that he could have a good customer service go to... maybe... Send a print job to everyone telling them ongoing disruption and that it was inevitable, and every effort was being made to minimize downtime.   Don't panic.  Do not reset your settings of the printer.  Don't spend hours searching for the cause of the problem.  Don't box your new printer and taking it back to the store.

But what the hell... they have just rolled with it and never said boo to anyone.   No email.  No work print that suddenly appears.  Not even a service disruption alerts to HP service Web site.     Really dropped this ball HP.    I have the printer and the concept of love, but not to repeat this mistake without talking to your installed user base.

    Waxhaw.
