  I came across a problem with certain printers HP and Windows 8 8.1 operating system. Here are a few common questions that will focus on the steps of troubleshooting in this thread;

  • Printer offline
  • Printer cannot print multiple-page documents

  • Printer stop printing in the middle of a print job

  With the help of JonW and his instructions, I tried to compile a post for this number beginning with a functional work around.

  First of all - there are some windows updates that can help with this problem.

  (1) install this patch from Microsoft to ensure that this problem of private-public-private network do not recur. It belongs to the April 2014 package Update for Windows 8.1 and Server2012 R2 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355).

  (2) install this patch from Microsoft for the WSD service.  http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/3000461

  If this is not enough, then please follow the list of steps below that will give you a workaround solution that can help with this problem.

  The printer of the assign a static IP address

  An IP address is an address of Internet network that the computer can use to communicate with the printer. Enter a static IP address to make sure that the wireless connection remains stable. Follow these steps to assign a static IP address to the printer.

  • Download the printer IP address.
  • • Press the button on the Control Panel printer wireless to view network settings.
    • Access the menu of network on the printer control panel.
    • Print a page of the Network Configuration Page or test wireless report.
  • Once you have the IP address of the printer, open a new web browser window or tab.
  • Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browser and press ENTER.

  Choose ' continue to this website (not recommended) "will not hurt your computer while navigate it the Web built-in to your printer server. If you encounter this error outside EWS of your printer, your computer might be at risk.

  "If the browser cannot open the integrated Web server, after you have clicked on ' continue to this website (not recommended)", refresh the browser window.

  (EWS) built-in Web server for the printer opens and confirms that the printer is on the same network as the computer.

  • In the EWS, click the network tab.
  • In the Wireless section, click on the configuration of network (IP) address or IPv6, depending on your network configuration.
  • Manuel IP-click and then click on suggest a manual IP address. An IP address manually, the subnet mask and default gateway shows.
  • Once filled with the IP address manually, click the DNS server manually.

  Note:

  Keep a record of the manual IP address for reference.

  • On the Page of Network Configuration that you printed earlier, locate the addresses of DNS server, type the DNS address in the preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual manual fields and then click on apply.

  If the DNS addresses are not listed on the Network Configuration Page, or if you have difficulties to access the network or the Internet with the original DNS addresses, use one of the following methods to obtain the DNS addresses.

  • Method: use the public DNS server addresses

  Configuration of the printer using the publicly accessible DNS server addresses. To find available DNS server addresses, search online for "the public DNS servers.

  After finding the public DNS server addresses, type the addresses in the preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual manual fields, and then click on apply.

  • Method 2: obtain the network DNS information via your computer

  Select your operating system and then use the following instructions to obtain DNS server addresses.

  • • Click on the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Run, type cmd, and press ENTER.

  The new printer is now configured, but this printer will use the driver in OS (class) instead of the full function of HP driver.

  To change the printer using the HP driver full function follow the instructions below. I recommend you replace the driver HP driver full function that the user can then use features such as custom paper sizes.

  Return to the control panel and select devices and printers, right-click on the newly created printer and select printer properties

  

  Choose the Advanced tab

  

  Click the driver set and choose the printer driver has no driver class of words after it.

  

  Click on apply and then OK and the driver will be changed to the driver for the HP printer full function.

  The user should try this configuration and see if they still have problems.

  Try to access the printer from devices and printers properties. When you open the printer on the Office Assistant, it opens printing options, which does not change the driver.

  Title updates: Windows XP original on 06122013

  Updates of Windows XP on 06122013 seemed to make me lose contact with printer HP LJ1200 and had to perform the restoration of the system to 06112013 do work again.   Updated the MACBook Air to OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan.  In this process, my printer disappeared.  Apple support had to intervene to get the printer view and print - that was yesterday & took 1.5 hrs.  Today, I tried printing and get the error "offline."  I went through the steps of unplugging the printer and Router 2 x, but always 'offline' message.  Help please!

  I understand that you have some problems with your Mac OSX 10.11 for the Laserjet P1102w printer machine printing. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. On your Mac, click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
  2. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
  3. Click on reset printing system.
  4. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. Select your printer from the list.
  6. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
  7. Click on Add.

• CP 1518ni printer crash since HP software update using OS 10.7.4 (Lion)

  I did the usual update through software update for HP printers.

  The first impression I tried crashed once but then printed.

  Since then, I can't print Pages or other programs. Programs to plant about 20 seconds after hitting the impression. I restarted the printer.

  I use a fully updated Macbook pro, OS 10.7.4.

  Good news! My printer now prints!

  My audio worked fine as of 12/01/16. That night, about 13 updates have been applied.  Since then its has not worked.  System did restore in 12/01/16.  His reworked.  Thought I changed things so updates will not automatically apply, but they did it in all cases.  Sound still does not work. Devices is not and I can't find anything that make the system. Now that I've lost the system restore 12/01/16. How to make its new?

  I had the same problem today on Windows 8
  I have disabled all add-ons, but always FF cling on most pages (facebook, gmail, bbc News)
  I uninstalled Firefox 19.0.1 then installed Firefox 17.0 upgrade turned 19.0.1 all add-ons back and it works once more.

  Set to automatic update of windows has been installed the day before. I first noticed after I tried to download a game for a free hour of blank oberon games site, an error came up saying your drmactivator has stopped working, I went on a forum site and did what they me by going to the computer and make sure that my DEP has been activated it was on. I then uninstalled adobe flash and reinstalled latest version as suggested on the forum, still no joy. Thinking that it was just the game I tried I dropped. My games installed that are full versions and have been working well before the update of windows have now ceased to work according to my message of windows. For example some of the games that are extinct Oberon are close Frenzy2, Mystery PI, great adventure bundle etc help please because I can't seem to find a solution, and all I can think about the new update on Saturday 18 September 09 did something.   My Lenova Ideapad Z580 constantly 'loses' the shared wireless printer.  The only solution I have is to uninstall the driver, and then reinstall the driver to 'find' it on the network again.  Any reboots causes this to happen, but is found also at random times when the laptop has not been turned off.  We even reset the printer and then re-installed on the network in the event that something had changed there.  None of the other laptops in our House (using various platforms) has this problem, so I have to assume that there is an error in Windows 8.
  I've had this laptop in April 2013, but this problem did not begin until July 2013, I think that an update may be the culprit.
  Is this a known problem and is there a fix permanent, that I can use?  Thanks in advance for any help.
