Printer problems (HP Photosmart 5520)
My printer prints more. In the tail, he attempted to remove a document for four days and it has not yet done. It does allow me to print anything else. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I think that has filed only worse. I need my printer because I am in College.
Is it possible that I can delete the document, or at least completely reset my printer for it to start working?

I just plugged a newer PC from one office to another to replace a piece of scrap that was Windows XP and does not start. The worker who received the said new workstation says that he had printer Assistant on his old office for its 5520. I made a shortcut to the printer which can then right-click to analyze, but he says that is not what he used to do. Where and how can I get the printer to a 5520 assistant? Download the drivers again?
Yes it is, please go ahead and follow the steps below in the order:
1. disconnect the USB.
2. remove the HP Software PS 5520 uninstall from the control panel of your computers an option of the program.
3. restart the computer.
4. make sure that all them that software PS 5520 has disappeared from the list of programs, but also your HP folder listed under all programs in your Start Menu.
5. now, go ahead and download the software and drivers for your PS-5520 (DO NOT connect USB until the software prompts you to):
6. go ahead and print a test page.

When I tried to print documents in Word, Adobe PDF and TextEdit, the same result occurs each time. The first page that prints a text on my Mac such as:

Reset the printing system:
-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

I have a new HP Photosmart 5520 printer all-in-one. Black ink ran out so I replaced it with a previously used ink cartridge which is of the same type # 564 but a XL version. This cartridge has been barely used. Now, I just can't get anything to print in black. It will print in color, but not black. I tried to turn off the printer. Suddenly is no longer able to scan or print on HP Photosmart 5520. With the scan function I use scanning to e-mail, but, after long 'Preparation scanning' on the screen of the printer, the error message "temporarily unavailable. "Please try again later". It's all very mysterious, but it seems to have corrected itself. Finally, the 'out of paper' error message appeared yesterday (there were many), I pushed in the paper and things started to print again. I was also able to rescan. Not sure if she was no longer a problem of Google or what but we are in service again.

6 months ago, I bought a printer Photosmart 5524. She had to be returned for repair and a replacement printer has been returned. The replacement printer is a Photosmart 5520.

I like that you get the login screen for the Built-in Web server for the printer. Is this correct? This seems to indicate that someone has put a username and password on the printer, for security reasons. If you don't know what are the connection information, the only way to remove this is to do a factory reset on the device. I can send you this information in a private message. That being said, I would like to start here. Please, try the steps in this guide, the printer prints blank Page or fact not printing black or color ink for HP Photosmart 5520 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 5520 series e-all-in-one printer.

I've just set up my new printer wireless to my PC and my ipad with no problems. I just printed photo of
both using HP photo paper supplied with the printer, but the quality is terrible! The ink is running in all directions and
take ages to dry, the colors are facing eachother, what makes the image completely garbled. I'm not a fool!, I have
used various brands of printers over the years and found that the installation of ink cartridges is similar regardless of the brand.
I checked then double that they are clicked in place firmly. I followed all of the implementation procedures.
I'm doing something wrong, or should I just try a different type of photo paper? Printing simple text on A4 is fine.

When I used to print from my iPad via AirPrint on both sides on my printer HP Photosmart 5520, it used to print, so that you may browse on the long side. For some reason, it changed to printing, so it switches to the short side.
How can I change by flipping on the long side?
My son has discovered a fix for this problem. We have now tried on three iPads and whenever he has set.
The solution is to disable double-sided printing in the options when you are about to print a document and then turn it back on.
After that the only time anything printed duplex will be sharp long printed not short edge.
It is not a rocker, I can't get my iPad to print double-sided on the short side now (not that I want to), for some reason once you turned two-sided printing off and on again, long-back becomes the permanent default.

I recently set up my HP Photosmart 5520, including with web connected HP services. My laptop immediately after the passage of the printer, I am able to print correctly. Yesterday, my printer decided that he would simply print blank pages with a black line in the middle. I did a test print via the configuration menu and it prints fine. My wife can print wireless. And until yesterday I had no problem.
On and off, but today, I have the same problem. Help?

Looks like there is something wrong with the print on your Mac driver. To resolve this problem, we will need refresh your printing system and re - add the printer driver.
Reset the printing system:
To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system" because the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.10. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.
Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.
Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:
- Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
- Go to the Utilities folder
- Open disk utility
- Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
- Select verify disk permissions
- Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions
1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.
2. click on print and scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.
3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.
4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.
5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the driver of the HP Photosmart camera is selected.
6. click Add to add the printer to the list. Do not add the AirPrint driver.
Once your printer is properly added to, please try printing again to verify that the problem is now resolved.

I put a document on the glass of the printer to make a copy. The command is recognized, but cancelled immediately. The first two attempts were given a bit of text/photo about 1 centimeter.
