  I suggest you try to reset to a new start Indexing Options by removing and then rebuild the index and check if it helps.
  Your search index requires virtually no maintenance. However, if the index looking for files that you know problems must be in a location indexed; You may have to re-create the index.

  To rebuild the index:

  a. open indexing and Search Options by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Indexing Options.

  b. click Advanced Options, click the index settings tab and then click on rebuild. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  One of my laptops - HP envy, does not work with the printer. Message says that the printer is offline. However, it is turned on and works with the iphone 6s and another laptop.   This error may be due to one of the following problems:

  I had turn automatic updates off the coast of more than 6 months because of complications with an installed update, after it installed I turned on my laptop and view error started to appear for all! Internet Explorer had stopped working, msn direct ceased to adobe flash player had stopped the list goes!  I don't know yet so far is that I had a few ready to install, I had to do a system restore to use my laptop properly!   1. download the stand-alone package with four updates at a time. You can download the stand-alone version of the link with the number of KB below:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and check if the problem is resolved.

  2. start the clean boot computer and try to install the updates manually. Link below will help you to start the computer in clean boot:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

  Make sure that you reset the computer in normal mode (you can see step 7)

  Found a box that prevents the bios to booting from anything other than the hard drive in the BIOS, under Security.  Stupid because it still allows you to change the order of boot without any error message.

  Once I changed I could boot from the cd and fix corrupted files.

  I suggest you to follow these steps and try to uncheck the option to use the printer in offline mode:

  a. click Start.

  b. click on devices and printers.

  c. double-click the printer icon.

  d. in the new window that opens, click on the printer and deselect Use printer offline .

  If the problem is not resolved, please provide more information to help you best.
