  Have a series of HP Color LaserJet 2840 printer on a local subnet for home with two computers that share.

  We can make regular features print very well.

  We cannot get the SCAN function to work for the scan to e-mail or in a folder.

  Went and used the HP Toolbox to set options analysis, but for some reason, they are not taken.

  The Guide of the user for this problem are usless (as usual with the documents of the user).

  I have spend too much time on this seemingly simple question, as usual.  (months of work on this periodically)

  Additional information:

  2 computers on the subnet local via 100MB ethernet switch and router (basic stuff)

  No problem of communication to the printer for print jobs or check on other orders of status.

  Two client computers are running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit

  I want to set up the printer so I can scan from the printer directly to a folder on the machine either or e-mail to each machine.

  I do the steps correctly, from what I can tell, but the info is not required or sent to the printer. ?

  If I add an e-mail through the box to tools, I can fill in the email field and the name field, but it will not show when I hit Add.

  Besides which should represent the box 'Host '?  The printer or my personal computer?

  If I try to add a file, it displays a browse box but never lets me select a folder to scan to?

  I don't understand.  Shouldn't be this embarrassing.  And if it is, (as usual), the stupid tech docs should do a better job MUUCCHH through it.  In fact, they don't even show or talk about the Host column.  So what is this for.

  Running a pc with windows 7 pro, in LR 6 CC in the print module.  In the lower left corner of the screen, there is only a 'page setup' button and it heading me information of "printer setup".   Must have 2 buttons in the lower left corner of the screen... "the installation and configuration of printing the page program" cannot access information 'page layout'... need some help here.

  Under Windows, there is only one button.

  It's Mac OS which has 2 buttons.

  Thank you, Sean. It has not solved the problem. Instead, I got to know that this will work with the 'HP Deskjet 6980 series' pilot and his summer work after I chose that one through the configuration of the local printer.

  Opening of services by typing services.msc in the search bar and find the list of Network Service. Under properties, set it to automatic.

  I would like to know;

  1. What you are trying to install applications?
  2. You are the administrator of your computer?

  You can set up a family safety account or you may be referred by the primary user. For the children of family security controlled, if game Restrictions are lit, depending on the setting you have (lower than 10, teen, mature etc), your child will be able to download applications that meet the coast.

  Here's what I suggest, if you wish to:

  1. Go to https://familysafety.microsoft.com and login as parent
  2. Check the setting of the game.

  You can do two things

  • Put out of the game restrictions or
  • Change the restriction of adult game

  Once your child has downloaded the application, parent go back to the family site, turn on the Restriction of game or set the game side to one appropriate for your child.

  For more information:

  Also, in the list of game for your childs account, make sure that the app is in the whitelist if your username already has but gets blocked by parental control due to permissions issue.

  I recently bought a photosmart 5520. It's my fourth HP printer. So far, I've been more than happy with the HP printers and that's why I've stuck with them.

  I am extremely disappointed by the print quality of the 5520. When you print a document in black Black is almost gray. It just doesn't seem to be enough ink and when printing photo skin tones are not accurate. It seems to be too much red.

  I got a deskjet 2180, which is only a printer not expensive but the quality of the print is much better than the print quality of the 5520.

  I want to know y at - it a setting that I can do to improve the print quality of my 5520 or is it a matter of "what I see, this is what I get.

• Photosmart 5520: Photo printing problem

  I've just set up my new printer wireless to my PC and my ipad with no problems.   I just printed photo of

  both using HP photo paper supplied with the printer, but the quality is terrible!  The ink is running in all directions and

  take ages to dry, the colors are facing eachother, what makes the image completely garbled.  I'm not a fool!, I have

  used various brands of printers over the years and found that the installation of ink cartridges is similar regardless of the brand.

  I checked then double that they are clicked in place firmly.  I followed all of the implementation procedures.

  I'm doing something wrong, or should I just try a different type of photo paper?   Printing simple text on A4 is fine.

  I have a wireless laptop and can go anywhere.  I can print the wireless network test results and Page of Configuration of HP network.   However, I can't print other documents.  My test results all the PASS and signal show as very good.  Current configuration as expected except DO NOT CONNECT Internet.

  I tried various tools and options on the HP Site and others.  I have reistalled printer driver and printer and wireless details says it is connected.  I don't have the ability to use a cable.

  It was suggested to my static ip address, I thought I'd made however on the prints on (and I have a lot in the last hours) the ip adddresses seems inconsistent.  After 5 hours, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I noticed that you are unable to print with your HP Photosmart 5520, on Windows 7 using a wireless connection. I'm happy to help you with your print!

  Please see the following guides:

  • "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Windows 7.
  • The printer keeps Wi-Fi connection.

  Also, I recommend the HP wireless printing Center, Web site. You want to make sure that the router broadcasts not 5 ghz to 2.4 ghz.

  It is possible that a print job waiting in the queue is getting printed whenever you turn on the printer. To do this, please disconnect the printer from the computer.

  1. If the printer is connected by USB cable, simply unplug the USB cable at the end of the printer.

  2. If the printer is connected wireless, disable wireless by following the steps below:

  (a) tap the wireless on the printer control panel.

  (b) select the setting wireless as the 'Off '.

  Now, check if the printer still prints the test pages. Let me know what you find.
