Printers network returns to 'Use printer offline' system recovery (extended). Windows 7 SP1 all versions

Printers network returns to 'Use printer offline' system recovery (extended). The questions appear to affect all versions of Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).

Printed documents are queued on the local PC, waiting for the printer to come online.
The box can be seen by selecting devices and printers from the Start button. Double-click the printer service (usually the default printer) to open the printer window. Click on the "Printer" menu item in the window of the printer. The 'use printer offline' will be checked.

It requires a privilege to administer to uncheck the 'use printer offline '. The printer begins to print queue elements. The option "Use Offline printer" will remain off until the PC then wakes up from his sleep.
Printer has a static IP address and the last HP printer driver. is connected by WiFi to router. PC is connected to the router or use the WiFi. The question of the effects only PC under Windows 7. It seems to be very similar to that discussed in the article KB 934455 Vista.
Does anyone know of a solution for the PC under Windows 7?

  • No CD operating system created by the function 'Create the recovery media' - Windows/Vista/SP1

I bought a R61 with Vista Business installed for the purpose of this downgrade to Windows/XP. I noted with interest that the system had arrived with VISTA/SP1 is installed. First thing I did was summon the Thinkvantage Rescue to create and support recovery in the case where I decided to go back to Vista at some point in the future. After you have created all of the proceeds of the recovery disks and being the creative professional that I am, I decided to test the newly created disks. Three DVD has been created. When I tried to restore the system from these backups, I learned that I didn't have a CD of the operating system. None of the 3 DVD was recognized as a CD of the operating system. Unfortunately at this point in the process, the hard drive had been wiped out and I didn't have a working computer. My only alternative was to restore using the recovery media to Windows/XP that were in the area and call Lenovo and request recovery Vista media. They arrived very quickly, so I deleted the XP image and restore the image of Vista from Lenovo's Vista recovery disks. I was very disappointed to discover that there was no SP1 Vista recovery disks. To make matters worse, when I tried to call the 'create recovery media' of this image of Vista, I even created a box of 3 DVD recovery DVDs that once again, did not contain an operating system CD.

I find myself with the situation that I can't get the exact picture that was on my computer, when it left the factory. I don't know that besides as SP1, it should have been revised pilots and others who came with this machine originally, and which I am not aware. These could create strange incompatibilities I had to install Vista/Sp1 from the Microsoft site on top of the current generation of Vista.

Is it possible to get a Vista Business/Sp1 for the R61 recovery support?

Moreover, my computer is Windows XP now and recovery media created from this environment of work like a charm. I know. I tried them.

It took a few months to get a handle on this, but here is the final solution.

First of all, the person who suggested that if the first media was on DVD, to copy it to a CD to work had no idea what they were talking about. Either works just as well, even if Lenovo suggests that the first must be a CD.

As usual, the 'problem' was caused by poor documentation. When you perform a set of recovery using Rescue and Recovery Media, you do not create an "operating system CD", and this is normal. When you get a set of recovery CD / DVD from Lenovo, you will always get one which is marked "operating system CD.

Different sets through processes of different recovery and rescue and recovery needs to know what kind of game you have, it allows to perform the correct process.  It does this by asking the question "Do you have an OS CD?" Based on the answer she executes a process or another and expects different content on the CD / DVD that are presented to him. You cannot mix DVD upward between the two processes. If you say Reccue and recovery that you have a CD of the operating system (ie. provided by Lenovo) and present it with media created by you using the process of "Creating rescue media", the recovery fails.

Finally, I went back and restored my machine using the DVD that I created initially using Rescue and Recovery. I answered 'NO' to the question "Do you have an OS CD?" and ended with a perfectly functional R61 VISTA/SP1. He didn't stay for long, however. Then I reinstalled XP using the provided Lenovo recovery CD, I answered YES to the question and ended up with a fully functional XP R61. Now, everything's fine.

  • I'm temporarily using a diesel powered computer, running Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

I temporarily uses a computer filled with diesel fuel, until I can afford to replace it with an updated model. It is using Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.
The problem is that it's totally out of memory and as far as I know, I deleted everything I can, short of service packs and security features, such as malware and anti virus.
I do a disk Clean up and Defrag on a regular basis, but it shows now that I have zero remaining memory.
Anyone know how I can free up more memory?
    What happens if I delete ServicePack 1 & 2?
What happens if I use the restore disc came with the computer? It will remove everything and I start with a clean slate?
Unfortunately I can't replace this computer for a few months more, what should I do?
    Thank you
    Monica

You run lack of disk space, not memory, if that's your hard drive, you're referring to :-)

If you have the service pack installation files on your PC, you can probably pick up near a GB removing them (most likely you do not have).
You can remove security updates uninstall files and pick up some space here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-9862223-68.html
If there are programs that you use rarely or never, you can uninstall them.

If you use the recovery disk, it most probably restore you to the day; No program, no service pack, no update of safety, nada, just WinXP right out of the box. I wouldn't recommend, unless you have nothing better to do with your time than to reinstall all your stuff. And if this isn't in SP3, then you will not be able to download updates of security.

If you have a little cash on hand, you can always get a bigger hard drive and clone this player to the largest (most new hard drives come with software to do). Or if you have geek friends who save ALL their old stuff (like I do), maybe one of them would have a replacement part that they would be willing to give you. Wouldn't hurt to ask :-)

  • Missing startup programs, printers uninstalled and run used print spooler

    Hi guys,.

The title really says it all.   I am running XP.
I tried to use my scanner but it will not work properly.
I tried to use my printer laser hp 8000 and Canon S800 deskjet.   They are more installed and when I try to install I get an error that says that the print spooler is not running.
All programs are missing in commissioning.   If I click on programs, then I can find them.
Any ideas?   I ran, but I'm not all that good in the first place.
    TIA
    Greg

"Missing programs" indicate likely malware infestation.  What do you use for an antivirus application and is his current subscription?  Have you let the subscription expires?

Start with the download, install, update and run an analysis complete with each of these tools free amtimalware.  Do not run the scans at the same time.  Each is likely to take some time, so have something else to do.

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

    Now for the symptoms.

Hidden entries in the start menu > all programs

Beginning > menu all programs is a combination of two folders (directories) on your hard drive:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users Menu
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu

If the subdirectories in one or both of the above is given to the "hidden" attribute, you will not see the corresponding entry when you click Start > all programs.  To check and fix this, right-click on the Start button and select "Open" or "Open All Users" (you should do as well until you're through).  In the window of Windows Explorer that opens, click Tools > Folder Options > view.  Click on the button "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)."  OK your way out.

Double-click the programs folder.  Any folder that is hidden will appear "disappear".  Right click on each hidden folder, and then select Properties.  At the bottom of the general tab, uncheck the 'hidden '.  Click OK.  Select "apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files. Click OK.  Do this for all the hidden folders.  When you are finished, go back to tools > Folder Options > view and the changes that you have made previously.

Repeat the above by right clicking on start and select open or open all users, no matter what you is not done everything first.

    A. Clean on print jobs pending

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)

  • my computer crashed and restored using the system recovery disk. I saved all the files using a .fbw format. I can't read. What should I do?

My computer crashed while updating. It's a double 4 year old HP desktop processor. I could get into the repair screen, but nothing would be useful. I backed up data (115 GB) using the tools available on a drive hard usb. They are under the folder MINWIN and meet 31 different files. All I get is the demand to put in the disc. I copied the last file on DVD, but it will not read it. All other recovery programs say there is no backup file.

I have backup, with an extension of FBW 32 files
    Help

    Hello

    1. are you able to boot to the desktop now?

2 have you tried to reinstall the operating system?
    3. what program did you use to create a backup?
    4. do you get an error code or error message?

According toOberwald, it seems that fbw files are generated by HP, not Vista backup tool. I suggest you to read the following article to restore files from Microsoft.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-and-restore-frequently-asked-questions

If you are not able to boot to the desktop, then I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Start in safe mode and then try to run the restoration of the system to a point before you install the update and check if the problem persists.
Step 1: Start in SafeMode in Windows 7:

    Step 2: System Restore:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/products/features/system-restore

    Method 2:

If you used a third-party program, and then try to restore using the same program and check that it works.

Ive replaced maybe 4 or5 readers in my time and I've never seen elsewhere... so, I read somewhere to disconnect printers and GPU and nothing that I did this retrial and same issue... so I went diggin' autour and found an article stating that more old CD of HP recovery do not allow some drivers be installed on recovery as what the new style HD session require... and skip this premise I ended up finding a few articles more where people have said the same thing...

So im at a loss for why the recovery CD don't work... someone knows if there are more recent style recovery CD that work with the new drives? Ive read some forums of HP where others had the question and have had mixed responses from HP support a tech saying they had to buy all new recovery CD, while the other tech said a customer they should improve their OS... I guess that I wouldn't mind upgrading to Win7 from my vista home Prem 64 I hear win 7 is better... but i only run 4 gig of ram so win7 would go on my computer?

Also if there is a new hard drive in style... What's the beef with them? What makes them so different for older... Unfortunately with this being a holiday weekend im GROUND on get ahold of Seagate... so im stuck waiting til dec 1 Monday to get their hands on them... but I was hoping someone could find it and give me some ideas...

    Thank you

    Hello

Run the hardware BIOS diagnostic and make sure that your PC is OK. Check with Seagate and be sure that the hard disk that you received is not a drive hard format advanced, because these types of discs will not work with former HP recovery programs.

If your PC does not have BIOS version 5.32 or superior and a 7 GB or more then remove some DIMM memory in order to reduce the total less than 7 GB.  You can install the latest BIOS updates after the recovery of your PC.
