printers Windows 7

I have a new windows seven3250 series small laptop printer and would like to know if there is a driver I could load into my office windows 8 to load the disc and is it there, thanks for any help

Hi @changa,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you are looking for a Windows 8 driver for your HP Deskjet 3250 printer. I am happy to find this driver for you!

I was unable to find a 3250 printer model, but I found a HP Deskjet 3520. I guess it's the printer you have? If this isn't the case, please respond by product/model number of your printer. To find product/model number of your printer follow the instructions in this link. Find your model number of the HP product.

If your printer is HP Deskjet 3520, you can download the drivers and full software functionality of this site, the drivers and software HP Deskjet full functionality. Or you can use the recommended option, the printer HP install wizard for Windows.

Hope this is what you are looking for and have a great day!

  • HP 6980 - Win 8 installs several printer icons in the Printers window

My HP 6980 has worked for years with Vista.  Now that I have a new computer with Windows 8, I have multiple copies of HP 6980 icon in Printers window installation, usually labeled 'Copy 1'.  Sometimes none of the icons of the printer is "Ready", and I have to plug and unplug the USB cable until an icon appears as repeatedly ready.  Most of the time, one of the icons is ready, but I have to look for it. Anyone know what is happening with this?

My problem was a 'bad' USB printer cable

After waiting for Windows 8.1, thinking that he could solve my printer problem, I found that it was not resolved.  I decided to try once more to remove my printer installation and start over.

I noticed that it took a long time to 'install' the printer, and when I went to try the USB connection at the end of the computer, I was pushing on the cable: when I did it, the printer installed immediately.  Of course the USB connection, while printing documents normally, couldn't handle the fast loading data associated with the installation of the printer.  I guess he was doing several connects that gave rise to multiple instances of the printer being installed.  My old Vista software seemed to be able to handle this, but not Win 7 or 8 Win.

After installing a new printer cable USB, instance a printer's installation (copy 2), and it is always "ready".

  • Photosmart hp7515: completely uninstall the drivers of printers and printers windows 10

I have upgraded to windows 10 on my laptop. I uninstalled the software for my hp7515 and I installed the HP "PS7510_1315 = 1The function" software upgrade.

I can print ok, but cannot parse reliably. When I click on HP SCAN the first time that I can obtain a successful analysis. After that when I click on HP SCAN a second time, I get a dialog box saying that the scanner communication cannot be established blah blah blah. Once I have wait maybe 15 minutes or of disconnection and connection, then back on I can complete successfully another unique scan; then the process begins again. Also, every now and then I get a box saying that SCAN to COMPUTER IS NOT ENABLED any LONGER.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software a number of times and now he thinks there are three network printers installed. I want to go back to square one and start again as if I never had an HP printer on my system.

When I try to run a scan on the printer, it finally fails indicating that he has no connection.

The printer works perfectly with my desktop running Windows 7 Professional and another laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. Before the upgrade to windows 10 Home on this laptop the printer worked perfectly too.

Please help me to completely uninstall my software and my printer from my system so I can start again.

    Bob

This weekend I finally had a chance to reload the software of the printer on my laptop. I am happy to say that so far, everything seems to be fine. I was able to scan several times in a row from my laptop running Windows 10 House, and then with my desktop computer running Windows 7 Professional. Don't know if it has made all the difference, but during the installation of the printer and driver on window machine 10, I had both machines Windows 7 mode 'sleep'.

Whatever the reason, I thank you all for your help.

  • Why are there two icons for my P1102w in devices and printers, Windows 7 Pro?

I've recently updated the firmware and drivers on a LaserJet P1102w and now have two icons in devices and printers on Windows 7 Pro. An icon is correct and functional; the other is basically an icon that does not work and it reads series of printers HP LaserJet P1100. Functional icon reads the printer HP LaserJet 1102w (which is correct). If a single UN-installs the unusable icon, Windows just charge drivers to re - start. Is it possible to get rid of this icon?

    The problem has been resolved.

HP Smart Install apparently was the problem. It is that I have updated the firmware and drivers to the latest (version October 2012) that the problem started. I used the HP CD and run the utility to disable Smart Install. I managed to remove the second icon, and he never returned.

When I bought the printer, Smart Install worked fine, but not after the firmware upgrade.

  • HP LaserJet P1102w: Windows 8.1 - run two different USB connected P1102w printers with simple shortcut on the desktop?

I am trying to set up a single laptop Windows 8.1 for someone who uses it according to the seasons in two locations (FL and MY). I installed a HP LaserJet P1102w printer in each location. I wish I had a printer that is connected USB (one at a time will be connected) able to access in an only menu icon Office or file print command.

When you add the second printer, Windows8.1 recocognized, the driver is already installed, he apparently recognizes the different addresses MAC and/or numbers of series of different printers and present second printer on the page devices and printers in Control Panel or allow a second printer on the desktop icon.  The only way to tell apart printers is that one is listed as a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet P1102w and the other is listed as a HP LaserJet P1102w. It is rather confusing to the elderly person who will be using the laptop.

Is it possible to have the mobile exploit any printer is connected both by means of a simple print command or icon? Maybe by connecting via a WSD Port Monitor?

Thanks for any help or advice!

    Dave Waters

    Hey @dmwaters138,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you do not want to have two HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer operation via USB Wired on 1 single machine with a single order of printing or the icon. I would like to help you with the configuration of this option today. Because there are two distinct Laserjet on Windows 8.1 computer printers, to do two icons impression for various devices. The best way to tell the difference between the two devices is to rename printers. Thus, when the client goes in file and print in the print dialog window, simply choose the printer name that corresponds with the device they want to print to. You can rename printers all you want. Install printers on the WSD Port wireless network would give the same result of having two copies of the printer is installed on the computer. One thing I see, is that the name of the HP Laserjet Printer is unusual. It seems that your printers may be using the built in Windows drivers, rather than the HP Full Feature driver package for the device. This may cause printing conflicts in the future. Can I please you follow the steps below to set up and install both LaserJet HP correctly.

    Step 1: Remove the drivers:

It is crucial that your HP LaserJet are using the correct HP driver package. So I'll have you remove two copies of your HP Laserjet of the computer. Please make sure that the USB cables are connected.

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of the computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of the keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type devices and printers. Click on devices and printers
    3. In devices and Printers window please right click on the Hewlett-Packard Laserjet and select delete device or delete. Once this copy is a party, please right click on the HP Laserjet P1102w and select 'remove device' for this one as well. After have removed two copies of the Laserjet please close devices and printers.
    4. Then, on the Start screen type programs and features. Click on programs and features to launch the window
    5. Scroll the list of programs and find the HP Laserjet driver package. If you see the HP Laserjet printers select Uninstall. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, please close programs and features and continue to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of the computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of the keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box
    3. In the run box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin. Please proceed to the next step.

    Step 3: Install devices:

    1. Please leave unplugged USB cables

    2. Please click here to download the package full feature software and driver for the HP Laserjet Printer

    3. when the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to install the first Laserjet. Make sure you select the 'install the printer software ' tab connect the USB cable only when the installation window prompts to.

    4. Once installation is complete for the first printer, please open the Start screen and type devices and printers.

    5. once the devices and printers opens, you will see the first copy you installed HP Laserjet. Please right click on the HP Laserjet Printer , and then select printer properties

    6. under printer properties , you will see the name of the printer on the general tab at the top. Please rename the printer to something that the customer acknowledges that this first printer. Then click on apply and then OK to save the changes.

    7. close devices and printers

8 open the Start screen again. This time, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.

    9. in the run box type %temp% , and then click OK. The Temp folder is now open

    10. in the Temp folder to locate the 7z... file. Click this folder to open it. This is the HP Installer package for HP Laserjet printers. Scroll to the bottom of this file and double left click on the P1100_P1560_P1600.exe driver package. The installation program will now open.

    11. in the title of the installation window, select "Add another printer. Don't connect not the USB at the moment. Click Next.

12 connect the USB cable for the second printer once the installation window invites you to. After the second installation, please open the Start screen.

    13. in the start screen, type devices and printers. Click on devices and printers to open the window.

    14. in the printers and devices window, you will now see a second copy of your HP Laserjet. Right-click on the new copy and left click on properties of the printer. When the Properties window opens please rename the second copy of your printer. Click on apply then OK to save the changes.

    15. close devices and printers

When the customer print, in the print dialog window they will just now to choose the name of the printer that fits the HP Laserjet Printer they wish to print to.

I know that sounds like a lot of steps, but I wanted to give you as much detail as possible to ensure that this process goes well for you.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided to resolve your problem. Good luck!

  • HP Deskjet 3520: Windows 10 update, failed to refresh an ink

    Hi @DiGill,

I saw your post about software problems you encounter since the upgrade to Windows 10 and I would like to see if I can help.

First, you must consider the information contained in these resources.

If you printer software was installed before your upgrade, I try to uninstall the software completely and then reinstall it by using the most recent driver available on the HP Web site. Here's how to clean all the drivers of your computer.

I recommend referencing the steps described in this document to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever;  Uninstalling the printer software - use as a rough guide, but the steps for Windows 8 should be pretty close to Windows 10.

You can also delete files using disk cleanup - take care to put check marks in selection boxes when it is available. (Once again Windows 8)

Software drivers can hide other places would be in your device manager.

    To open Device Manager:
    1) enter the Device Manager in the search field.
    2) click on Device Manager.
    (3) you can click on View, in the upper part of the windows, click Show hidden devices.
    (4) to develop the types of devices and check for any pilot associated with your printer.
    (5) to remove a device from Device Manager, click on the name of the device in the list and then click Uninstall.

For more information, see for Windows Device Manager information 8/10.

Download the newest software package here; Drivers and software features full printer e-all-in-one HP Deskjet 3520.

Or download the direct link here.

Then look for the updates of Windows; Drivers and software with Windows Update (Windows Update 10, 8)

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

    Thank you

  • HP P2035N driver for Windows 7 x 64

I have a home network with several machines running Windows 7 RTM (2 runs x 64 and 1 running x 86 (32 bit)), Windows Vista and Windows XP. I connected a P2035n HP machine running Windows 7 32 bit. I made sure that the printer is shared.

On computers running Windows 7 64 bit, I was able to use the control panel to add to my list of printers and printing. It was a few days ago. Today, I tried printing on the p2035n, but he did not appear in my list of printers. I thought that this could be due to other systems using the 'sleep', but other printers do not disappear when their host goes to sleep.

In any case, I ran the utility "Add a printer" on the control panel after the awakening of the host computer. I chose "add a network printer ' and the" HP LaserJet P2035n on DELLPREM-PC is on the list of available printers. I pick and choose 'Next' and a message says that it checks windows update, but don't then reports "No driver found". I select 'OK' and then search for the INF file in the directory ' C:\HP_ljP2035_USB_Express_Install. This directory was created when I ran the driver exe as administrator in Vista compatibility mode. I selected the INF file and picked then OK. Windows has responded with "Windows is unable to locate a suitable printer driver. Contact your administrator for help to locate and install a correct driver. The file of the driver downloaded from the HP website was 'ljP2035-xps-pnp-win64 - in .exe'. This file also creates a subdirectory named 'C:\HP_ljP2035_USB_Express_Install\English\x64 '. There is a file named "HP2030SM.exe" in this folder which I also tried as an administrator in Vista compatibility mode. There is no INF file in the x 64 directory.

So I can use is no longer the p2035 via the network on a 64-bit Windows 7 RTM computer.

I don't know what has changed in the last few days. As I said it has installed fine and I was able to print to it a few days ago. Nothing has changed on these systems.

Did anyone had success with this?

Here is the latest information I have about the fixing of the problem of multiple copies:

I learned that apparently in mode RAW, the spooler sends endless copies to the printer.

Here's the solution that worked for me:

    1. Open devices and Printers window
    2. Right-click on the icon "HP Laserjet P2035n"
    3. Select "Printer properties" in the menu
    4. enable the ports tab
    5. Select the port assigned to your HP P2035n and then click on the button "Configure Port"
    6. Change the port mode LPR with count bytes active LPR (queue name can be an arbitrary value).
    7. Click OK (twice for 2 dialog boxes) to accept these changes

That's all! Now it should not print endless copies.

Finally, I bit the bullet and upgraded my computer Windows 7 HP for Windows 10. None of the suggestions listed in the HP forums to be able to use another driver with Windows 10 has worked for me. Some got to the printer, but any suggestions that would get to the printer the printer print pages additional and acting as a print job was sent to the printer. Then I tried something different and it worked!

Here are the steps I took to get my old HP Photosmart 7660 printer yet faithful to work properly with Windows 10.

Since the page devices and printers in Control Panel...

    1) click on add a printer

    (2) click on the printer that I want isn't listed
