Hello

You did not mention the version of the operating system that is running in the computer with the problem. We know the version of operating system on this computer.

Windows Photo Viewer application allows you to view multi-page TIFF files, but it does not allow to print a number of pages in a multi-page TIFF file. In order to achieve this functionality, you can have a look at the workaround solutions provided in the answerin the following threads:

http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/unable-to-print-only-one-page-in-a-multiple-page/737b4afc-0D0E-4cb8-8374-f6de218720b2

(Note: in the link above, a third-party program is proposed as a workaround.) Please keep in mind that using a non-Microsoft program is at risk of the user and for all the problems arising from the use of these programs, the user must contact the manufacturer of the respective program)

I'm not one of these workarounds should help you. If you still need help on the question or with Windows, get back with more details and we will be happy to be of assistance.

    Hi, Unclemarcus2002,

You would be wiser to post on the Forum TechNet where there is COMPUTER experts.

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/newThread

Maybe using the ASSOC and FTYPE command in a script will do what you want? I think that these orders would also apply the association throughout the world, rather than on a per-user basis.

    ASSOC: http:

    FTPYE: http:

Here is an example, that you can try.

Let's say you have a text file called "foo.bar" and you want the extension .bar always open with Notepad. There is an association for text files, so get him by typing "Ftype | more' at the command prompt (it will make a major announcement). Finally, you'll see the line "txtfile". On mine, it's "txtfile=%systemroot%\system32\notepad.exe %1" without the quotes.

First create your association: assoc .bar = FooBarText

Now to assign your request to your file type association: ftype FooBarText=%systemroot%\system32\notepad.exe %1

You should now be able to double-click the foo.bar file and it will automatically open in Notepad.

If you already have a Microsoft Office Document Imaging association, I think that it should be relatively simple type of substitution. Use ftype /? for a little more help.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

    Method 1.

Check that you are doing the default Windows Photo Viewer.

Try the steps below; It could help us solve the problem.

    1. open default programs by clicking the Start button.

    2. click on Control Panel, and then click default programs.

    3. set your default programs. This option allows to choose the programs that Windows uses by default.

    4. Select Windows Photo Viewer in the list and click Set this program as default.

    5. try to access photo and check if it opens with the Windows Photo Viewer.

Also access the link to know how to set and change your default programs: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default

    Method 2.

I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. The SFC/SCANNOW command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

I've updated MS .NET to 4.5 as suggested in another post.

This also affects the ability of the Explorer to display thumbnails when the photo viewer is the default program for PNG.

Your system ceased to display PNG files after Microsoft Update KB2670838 was delivered to your computer through Windows updates in late February 2013.

Software developers cannot possibly predict all future updates that Microsoft will make to its operating system or applications. Do us, however, solve the problems when they occur and publish updates as necessary.

A more reasonable notice might suggest looking for an update of the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack instead of pointing the finger and recommending other users to uninstall our product that if it turns out, was not directly responsible for the issue.

You also do not mention that uninstall the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack - while setting the PNG issue you know - also disabled Explorer thumbnails and previews of the Windows for Adobe PSD, EPS Photo Viewer, I and the other 40 formats support us.

The compatibility problem that resulted from the installation of KB2670838 was identified and corrected since, as well as another problem of compatibility that is revealed only after the release of Microsoft Office 2013.
