Printing - Officejet 4200 series

I have a Windows 7 operating system, and as the original CD supplied with the printer couldn't work with the operating system, I got Windows download the correct driver/software over the Internet.  Now, however, the printer is not printing duplex correctly.  When printing duplex, we supposed to to print before backward, then after reintegration of paper, in the back to the front.  If she did, the instructions for two-sided printing from the menu of teaching he gives, you can press OK to tell him you turned the pages autour and it allows to print the next side, would work in reality and realize printing double-sided with the printed pages so that page 2 has no page 8 print at the back there.  I looked at the settings, and there are only two options: front, rear and back to the front.  I can't find where to make them replacement for two-sided printing, BUT I KNOW that IT CAN, as he has done for the past two years on another computer.  Is it a driver issue or a setting I need to change?  And if it is a driver problem, if HP will accept your comments because I couldn't find anywhere to send such a message.  Thanks to anyone who responds!

I'm afraid that it is a result of the printer not directly helping Windows 7.  I'm sorry.

The used driver is a driver very very basic and many features are no longer present.  The method used before was manual duplex printing, but this was done by the software.  Unfortunately, the software option is no longer available.

The method, I want to talk about is different because the user is physically duplexing their print job.  To do this make two different printing entirely.  It's not selecting print a time and choosing print double-sided.  This will depend on the software.  I for example, select print odd only in Word 2010.  After that print impressions from work, I turn the paper and load the paper in the printer.  I then click on print again, but by selecting print even this time.  This displays duplex without no duplex option available.  It's just using the options available in the programs that you print from print.  The only reason that this method will not work is if the program printing to not have the strange impression or print same options available.

It is going to be no other way to achieve what you want with this printer and Windows 7.  If you want the printing in Windows 7, I recommend upgrading to a printer that supports double-sided and Windows 7 printing.

I send this message to someone else.  Apparently, my colleague was badly yesterday, do not know what the message was, but she decided to put new ink cartridges, she put in color and in black and white.  Now the machine says "Cartridge error - see the product documentation for more details", and there is a flashing light (slight attention).  Don't know how to clear this.

Looks like there may be problems of electrical connection with the cartridges.  Your colleague tried to remove the cartridges and clean the electrical contacts?

There is a document with concrete steps on how to do this cleaning cartridge and how to resolve an error in cartridge, located here.

  • HP OfficeJet 200 series Mobile: 3 Surface Pro WIndows 10 - can't re eastablish wi - fi direct connection

    Hello

We managed to connect our Surface Pro 3 Windows 10 running on a mobile printers HP OfficeJet 200 series using a Wi - Fi Direct connection not wireless. The problem is that whenever we turn the printer off or go to sleep Surface pro cannot re esatablish of connection with the printer again after on. In the device and printers OfficeJet 200 is still there but greyed out and has a status to be offline even if the printer has been for a while.

The only way to connect it must make the entire process of reconnection to the Wi - Fi direct connection, for example by typing in the code and wait to see the device is connected. It should not this printer to establish a connection with the surface pro automatically after power on, yet the pro Surface shows that the printer is offline and I know that I had direct Wi - Fi together to establish the connection automatically. Is there a solution for this.

The problem only occurs when the printer stops and he must turn it off to save battery because what get out us them for field work.

We discovered that the Wi - Fi Direct is not fully supported in Windows 10. The only way you can reconnect to Wi - Fi direct is if you connect to the printer that you connect to an access point Wi - Fi. If you do this your Wi - Fi direct printer connection will be reset. The downside is that your Surface Pro 3 will lose the internet connection.

For us, that our solution is not to use Wi - Fi direct and use the Wi - Fi function. We connected the mobile series HP OfficeJet 200 to our iPhone hot spot and we also connected the Surface Pro iPhone hotspot. Whenever we connect our tablet to the hotspot, we can use the printer because the printer is always connected to the HotSpot.

  • OfficeJet 7310: Reported Device Manager driver missing for printer Officejet 7310

I used the full setting install software downloaded from the HP site to set up a printer Officejet 7310 on a Lenovo laptop, T540p with OS 64 - bit Windows 8.1.  Installation and printer seem to work fine since I can print and I can also scan from the HP Solution Center utility.  However, Device Manager reports two errors/anomalies as follows.

Under the heading 'Multifunction cards' the Officejet 7300 series properties shows the status of the device such as:
This device is disabled. (Code 22)
Click Enable device to enable this device.

To the title of the theOfficejet 7300 series entry 'Other devices' properties shows the status of the device as:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no compatible driver for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update driver.

I find this a little confusing, because I believe that the installation of the software is supposed to include the pilot, as well as the printer seems to function (which could be due to default Microsoft drivers).

Any thoughts on how things are in this State and how to recover would be deeply appreciated as I prefer not to "ignore" error messages.

    Thank you

    Glenn

Well, I finally got a moment for all dismantle and reinstall according to the suggested procedure.  The offending Device Manager entry disappears not directly as a result of using the tools Microsoft and CCleaner, but after these steps in the process, I was able to remove the entry from the device.  I suspect that the registry was somehow blocked upward and demelee enough tools stuff for me to delete the entry.

The relocation went well, but unfortunately, I misread the part about the reference of USB and initially installed with a USB connection.  I had to go back and add the network connection, which was not a problem.  I wonder if I can remove the USB from the printer through devices and printers instance while keeping the Solutions Center HP happy on the network printer instance.

Thanks again for the detailed procedure.

    Kind regards
    Glenn

  • The printer Officejet Pro Premium N911n 8600 performs the selection automatic tray?

I received a response that there is no method that automatically selects a tray when a drawer is empty. Manual States the user otherwise... • HP Officejet J3600 Series for Windows 7 device driver

I can't get my printer to work!  I installed different versions of the software, and every time I said that there is not a driver that exists for the HP Officejet J3600 series.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I uninstalled the software several times, and I tried to install with Microsoft plug-and-play decisions.  I went from the other way and I asked HP what is desired and installed from their point of view.
I've just updated my Windows Vista computer to Windows 7.  There is a significant update of Windows Update that tries to install, but it fails every time.  This update is HP - printers - HP Officejet J3600 series 63.9 MB and it was published on 02/07/2011, but it gives me "Code 800F0246 Windows Update encountered an unknown error".  I found that the print spooler was not, which allegedly allowed other printers at work, but not my HP Officejet J3680.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bryan

    Palcouk,

Thank you for your help in this matter!
Yes, I did contact the PC manufacturer and the hardware manufacturers of printer support site for the software, both are HP.  I also tried to install the basic printer driver as the complete software, but neither attack could solve the problem.  These efforts included a complete removal of the software from my system, reboot and all.  I tried plugging in is not the printer until you are instructed to do and I also tried to connect the printer, using the plug-n-play in order to have the windows to find the correct drivers, but no attempt would not work.  These are good ideas!
The solution ends up being a deletion of the printer driver for another printer that has already been installed when I was with Vista.  This driver is not compatible with Windows 7 and was originally the 'print spooler' to stop and cause other installation failure.
Technical support at the University said that they eventually remove the other printers on the computer system;  then restart the print spooler by clicking the Start button, the search for 'Services', the program opens, scrolling to "Print spooler", selecting and clicking on "start the service"; and then install the software of the printer as usual.  The printer works fine now!  Yay!
PS You are absolutely right about the existence of a difference between important and recommended updates.  When I got my printer connected to the computer and I tried to update by using windows update, I think he said it was an optional update, but when the printer was not connected, the update did not show.  I think you're right, it was only a recommended update.  Thank you for this fix!
P.P.S.  I'm sorry, I can see how you might have thought that he wasn't no matter what printer driver.  There was, I think, 5 drivers for the printer that were to be installed.  Four installed without any problem (I think they were to scan, fax, USB printers and one another, but that of the HP Officejet J3600 series did not and he said that he was not a pilot that exists for installation).  After the correction of the University, it is installed without any hitch.
I hope this helps those of you who may have similar problems!
    Sincerely and gratefully.
    Bryan Millet
