  Photo will not print from the photo tray. When I try to print the photo tray is not recognized.   Since you are able to get the picture to print, which would indicate that the question is in the software, not the hardware. You should be able to print from programs other than the Windows Photo Viewer. If you experience problems when you try to print from other programs, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the software.

• Printing Photos using Lexmark x 5490 and Roxio 2011 fails

  When I try to print a photo from Roxio 2011 to Lexmark x 5490 the print job goes to spooler is sitting there and will block all other print jobs that follow.   Everything except the photo print job can be removed, but the only way I found to remove the original print job is to restart the computer (a round tedious way).   I saw Roxio - zero results!   I went to Lexmark which were excellent in their efforts to solve my problem, but the result - zero.

  I finally installed Roxio 2011 on a very old laptop and tried to print a photo and Hey Presto, I had a feeling.

  This eliminates Roxio and the printer to have been at fault and in my simple brain points the prog of Windows Vista. have a failure.

  How can I go to find the flaw in Windows and retrieve the situation?   I was in a multitude of forums still seen anything exactly like my problem, although there was something similar that MS Cust support Jatin Gandhi has managed to repair.

  Please try these steps... it might solve your problem...

  1. go to mac apple icon-go to the software update - pls download and install the update.

  2 restart the pc - and then go to the new apple icon - go to System Preferences and continue to print and scan

  3 Higlight your printer, then click on the button "-" to remove the printer-if your connected USB printer please unplug USB cable - then restart your pc

  4. after the restart, return to icon - system preferences - apple print and scan-for usb connection: plug the USB - if your printer does not automatically appeared on list of the printer olease, click plus the sign and Higlight your printer then click Add button - after that - to prove the fucnctionality

  for a wireless connection - simply click on the sign more, then, HELLO - Higlight your click and select printer Add button - then prove the functionality if you can print and scan.

  I understand that you use a HP ENVY 7640 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows XP computer and you were trying to print photos from the main tray on plain paper, but the software tells you to load paper into the photo tray, which you did, but it still does not work. I would like to help with that.

  It looks like a problem of printer settings as perhaps you do not have the main tray selected as the input source, but try to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to see if everything is OK with the drivers and the software of the printer.

  If the HP print and Scan Doctor detects no problem, it is perhaps a matter of settings. Here is a document of support that can help ensure the setting of the impression are set the way you need them - Print Photos. On the Paper Type/quality tab, that you want to make sure that the main tray is selected as the Paper Source, or Photo tray if you want to print on photo paper.

  To be honest I don't think that is the related issue of Toshiba and you should check with the manufacturer of the printer. They should help you with these questions.

  OK, if the printer goes through the motions of printing but does not print black it would indicate a problem with the print head.  Try to run up to three cycles of cleaning printhead from the Toolbox.

  While a photo of small amount black (and all other colors), ink will be used to serrvicing it will not print on paper for normal text.

  Print picture of what program?  Some programs to keep their own default values for the printer.  It seems that the default printer for the printing of the photo program has been set to Fax.  Try to open the program, select the Officejet Pro 8600 as the printer rather than the Officejet Pro 8600 fax.

  Thank you for your quick response and for sending a very useful article. I was surprised to read that, although the photo tray can handle 4 x 6 and x 7, e-printing 5 photo paper is taken in charge only the 4 x 6. It's no wonder that came out white 5 x 7 with an error message. I missed this piece of info to set up Air Print, or it was not mentioned in the specifications. Thank you for your help - I am now able to print photos, although confused and disappointed by the inability to print 5 x 7 of my phone.
