  Have you also tried to scan from your Mac? Similar problems with it?

  I wonder if it could be related to the router, you have the Officejet and Mac connected for not totally supported Hello (mDNS/Multicast).

  What you can try is first to add the printer via IP. Open on your Mac system preferences and then go to print & fax. Click the Plus sign icon to add a new queue of the printer. Then choose IP - protocoll choose HP Jetdirect taken and then insert the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the printer. Now try printing with this new created printer queue.

  I have a wrong setting to the top of my 5520 new after my 5510 went kaput!

  I downloaded the drivers and have reset both the printers on the MAC and printer.

  I removed and redownloaded few times.

  When I try to add the printer, the MAC doesn't seem to see my son in the other room printer and not mine!

  Initially, I was able to print when first purchased last month but not with airprint and turn all the time the printer. I was trying to solve this particular problem, and now I can't print anything except gibberish.

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  For starters, it sounds as though that there could be a small mixture upwards in the Mac software of the printer. So a rule I always followed is to ensure that all software are completely removed, and the computer cleaned the printer software.

  The first step will be to uninstall the printer software. I've included the document "uninstalling the printer software. If you still see the Photosmart 5510 still on the list, please ensure that it is also well uninstalled.

  Once the uninstall is complete, the next step is to check and fix permissions of Mac disc. I've included the document '12.x disk utility: repair disk permissions'. Verify and repair disk permissions has finished. Please completely off the Mac for a minute and the Mac is restarted.

  The next step is to install the software. I've included the link to "HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers - Mac OS X 10.6, OS X 10.7, OS X 10.8. As soon as the software has finished downloading, open the software and follow the instructions on the screen for the installation.

  Please make sure that if you are able to install the software correctly, you click on the Apple icon and search for the software updates.

  The installation software sees your printer? You are able to install the software correctly? When you try to print now, is it always felt strange text?

• Scanning/printing with envy 4500 problem

  We had our combo printer for about 6 months... we had a problem with the printing of our laptop computer after you install the software. When you try to print, the dialog box shows the printer is offline, but it's not. We also have the software installed on our desktop. My question is, we are limited to a single computer for this printer and not both? If so, this is not cool. I have run diagnostics and just, it will not help. I uninstalled the software from the laptop and reinstalled. It worked today, but now I can not scan from my office. What is the problem?

  I see that your HP Envy 4500 printer is indicating that it is in offline mode. According to another post, you run that Windows 7 is that correct? I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!

  This printer has USB connection or wireless connectivity options. If you wireless you can print with several computers, if computer USB and then one at a time.

  Please consult this guide, "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Windows 7.

  First restart your Mac, then click on the Apple icon and select software update, do not forget to install any available HP or Apple updates.

• Vista Photo Viewer printing with HP 8100 problem

  I have windows vista Home premium and use a printer HP 8100.  Until recently, everything was fine, but now the photoviewer program and direct program photoviewer seem to have no possibility to change the default settings of the printer.  If I put the default value of the printer for printing General color, or spectator is printed in grayscale or black and white despite my change of the configuration on the preferences box.  If I change the default black and white printer, it only allows me to change color.  Any ideas on how to get this working again?

• HP F4480 does not print with Mac (OS 10.9 / Mavericks)

  I applied the instructions to configure the driver on my Mac and it appears so when I try to print something, but nothing prints when I click on print and nothing appears in the queue.

• HP Photosmart 5520 e-print: printing with my project problem

  I had a document that I scanned and I wanted to print it. The original size is 5 X 7 and I want to print at 8 X 10.  He printede very well, but when I printed it he left a border on my the sixe 5 X 7 original work. How can I get rid of this border so I can print borderless on this entire page.  I have change my 8 X 10 printer options, but still the same problem.

  Using my Espon R2000 with Photoshop CS5 and Windows 7 (32 bit), I select the printer again each time I have print copy, zero profile type, orientation and printer paper.  Sometimes, especially when I do only my 2nd or 3rd copy, I can just click on the printer properties to make the selections, but usually when I do this, I get the error message "because the printer does not exist."  I have installed the latest updates for Photoshop (version 12.0.4).  Any suggestions?

  I have a Deskjet 6840, and I recently installed the system 10.6.8 on my iMac.  Since installation, the dialog box that allows me to indicate what pages of a document that I want to print is no longer see printer - which makes it necessary to print the entire document, even if I want only a page of it.  (Formerly, when I clicked 'print' a dialog box appears that allowed me to make a number of choices regarding the pages, the number of copies, collation, etc..)  Now, my only choice is to print or not to print).

  The print dialog box must contain the required options.

  Make sure that the print details are displayed by clicking on the blue triangle next to the name of the printer.

  If you do not see the options yet, please specify which application you are printing from.

• HP Photosmart C4580 does not print with Mac Book 10.5.8

  I tried all the "solutions" made the HP Support.   When I click on the HP Photosmart C 4500 series icon, it says printer is connected but 'lazy '.  Honestly, I disconnected and reconnected everything.  I added no and added the printer.
