printing with the Mavericks

I just installed Mavericks on my iMac. I have a HP Laserjet 1022 printer. When I try to print, I get the message "arrested - filter has failed." How can I solve the problem.

I simply deleted the printer and the printer said once again, and it seems to have solved the problem.

    Hi markszcz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

Your printer is certainly one of the older models as it was introduced around the year 2000. The latest HP driver published for this printer is for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. However, I have included a document on the installation and use of the printer for the Mavericks.

  • Connection Officejet 6100 to Wifi with the Mavericks

I have Mac OS 10.9.2 (Mavericks) and have installed all available updates.  I just bought a HP Officejet 6100.  The configuration software supplied with the printer does not work on the Mavericks.  I can use the printer via USB, but have no idea how to do to connect the printer to my wifi network.  All the instructions I found point using the diskette supplied with the printer (not compatible with the Mavericks) or assume that I already connected the printer to my network wifi (which is the problem that I am trying to solve).

I had HP products in the past and if it is connected to the network, but it supports WPS and has a touchscreen user interface.  This printer does not seem to be supported.  The wifi light just keeps blinking.

I don't like on ePrint, etc..  I want just the printer connected to my wifi so I can print from any number of computers on this network.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

It wasn't very nice, that we were just trying to help.  Don't tell you specifically that your router has WPS.

On your printer, press and hold the button wireless for 3 seconds.  Within 2 minutes, press the the router WPS button.

Wait about 2 minutes. If the printer connect successfully, the wireless light will stop blinking but stays on.

From there, you can connect your printer on your Mac:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • HP Director does not not with the Mavericks (10.9)

I just installed Mavericks on my iMac.  Printing with my LaserJet M1319f MFP is ok but scanning with HP Director does not work.  I repaired permissions and reset the printer.  It still does not.  Any ideas?

    Hello

HP Director is not compatible with the Mavericks, I fear that scanning is no longer supported on the latest version of OS X from 10.6:

  • better integration with the Mavericks. Still a problem with the display of the menu bar spaces when moved

Much better integration with the OSX mavericks on the latest version. Without a doubt ahead of Parallels in terms of dual display/full screen. The menu bar has been resolved, but there is a ghost menu bar that appears when you move one space (fullscreen vm) from one monitor to the other. It resembles a translucent bar on top and without words. But clicking on it shows menus as if it is supposed to be links there.

Yes, it is a known problem with the Mavericks Developer Preview; We work closely with Apple to find a solution. So far, we have seen only with the restoration of the window or when you move the window between monitors - if you leave full screen and enter again, it should work fine. If you notice any others, please let us know.

  • Compatibility to contribute with the Mavericks

I use Contribute CS3 to edit my site, but now that I've updated my iMac with OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Contribute no longer works. Can I upgrade to a version that is compatible with the MAvericks?

I use 6.5 with OS X 10.8 with some difficulty. Recently, I have recommended a customer to purchase Contribute to maintain a Web site, that we have recently rebuilt for him. It is impossible to install Contribute on its system OS X 10.9 and learned Adobe support that it was "not compatible". I have three questions:

    (1) adobe do intend to solve this problem with a free upgrade?

    (2) if so, when? (not really expect an answer this)

    (3) can anyone recommend another product?

We do business based on the available information and decisions of reasonable expectations. It is time for Adobe to step up and answer 1. If the answer is no, he needs to return the product and get a refund.

  • HP 6700 premiums AiO not printed with the size of the special page (Mac OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks)

    Hello

I'm Italian, sorry for my bad English translation!

I have a HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium (e-print AiO) working out Mac OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks and connected to my MacBook Pro by ETH RJ45 wireless router.

I've written the next did not with Mac OS x 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

I often use a special paper with the sticker from the postage label. The paper size is (l) 153mm (h) x 297mm. I set the special size in the layout with a new parameter.

Now, when I print the page by Illustrator or other SWs, the printer show me on the LCD the following alert: "the printer cannot print because the page size is different by size of page checked sensors!"

But if I set the printer layout in A5 format, the printer get the impression quite rightly!

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Salvatore (tothus)

    Hi tothus aka late.

I understand your photos that you use Airprint to install the software and drivers and you need to use the HP software.

Add the printer to the system preferences, print and Scan

    1. Click on the Apple icon > System Preferences > print and scan.
    2. Click on the small symbol.
    3. Select Add another printer or Scanner

    4. Select the printer you are adding and next to the 'use' to choose the printer driver.  You will find Airprint is selected by default, click Airprint to open the drop-down list and choose your driver.

You should now have the HP software installed.

I sincerely hope this helped. Please let me know how it goes for you.

    Kind regards

  • HP1515: MAC: unable to print with the black print cartridge only

I would like to print the document with colors black and white. There are two options of color paper Type/quality. I tried to use the black cartridge grayscale mode only. However, only the white paper printed.

I checked the supply level of ink that are in good condition (they are in any case the new cartridge).

I also tried the high quality grayscale Mode. Things have been printed, but the result was unsatisfactory because of the color of melted from the police. The color of the police were too light being visible.

What I can do to make sure only black and white for printing. No gray color is fine.

    Hey @yy1992,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see you have a problem with print quality with the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515. I would like to help.

The printer makes a decent quality copy from the front panel?

I recommend you try two Solution in this article from HP. It is oriented towards users of Mavericks, but it should be pretty close to what you see on your Mac. Note that you can run the utility of cleaning printheads up to three times if you do not see a clear improvement immediately.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

    Hello

Have you tried updating your software for the Mavericks?

If you run Apple Software Update provides with something new.

    Please try the following fix:

Under 'Add printers and Scanners', the device should appear with 'Fax' at the end of the model name.

    I hope this might help.
