• Cannot send Web Pages

  All of a sudden I can no more long e-mail web pages or links in Safari. I used to go to hand, by e-mail and send automatically. Now I get "Bookmark, Messages, Notes, reminders, etc.".  I got the E-mail icon in my toolbar, but it does not work. Yes, I can copy the web page and go to my e-mail program, but I just want to in Safari. Anyone know what happened? Is it a problem to upgrade?

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  You can also try another mouse in case there is a problem with your current mouse and check the double-click setting in the mouse driver software.

  I use to have an add-on that would take the addresses displayed as text in the Web pages to display as the link URL. When I would click on the link of the URL, it would open a new e-mail message. What is the name of this add-on or how to get this feature working again in my browser?

  I don't remember using one, but I've heard of the Add-ons that any URL in the "linkify" page is clickable. Maybe they would also "linkify" an email address?

  To work around the problem, you can use the bookmarklet. This is a script that save you as a bookmark so you can click on the bookmark when you want to run. Here's how:

  (1) select and copy the following script (it's actually a long series):

  javascript:var eml=window.getSelection(); window.location.href="mailto:"+eml; void 0;

  (2) a convenient location on your bookmarks bar or Bookmarks Menu with the right mouse button and choose new bookmark.

  (3) paste the script in the location field. In the name field, you can then type mailto or name of your choice.

  (4) click on the Add button

  Here is an example for the test. Select the address of e-mail using the mouse:

  Then click on the bookmark. Success?

  In addition, this script does not check that you have selected is a valid email address, or remove excess spaces at both ends, so it could definitely be improved...

• TB refuses my password - pswd is good because I can access e-mail on the web page of Yahoo from Verizon

  I use Yahoo from Verizon. Everything has worked when suddenly Thunderbird does not accept my password to give me the following error message: "sending the password failed. "Mail server incoming.yahoo.verizon.net replied: (#AUTH012) Incorrect username or password".

  However, the password is good because I can log on and get my email from the web page of Yahoo from Verizon.

  The problem is solved. Verizon-Yahoo never was informed to change the user ID in the settings of my account xxxxxx in [email protected], that is, simply add the @verizon.net to your user name on the server settings page.

  About the prior Toad Hall "Windows default" comment. That was really the key to the problem - windows by default does not work unless ALL the boxes on Thunderbird are checked. I had used TB along right but wanted to send a few photos and the default TB has not been recognized, though even I had used for a few months. Where discover the box the letters on TB has been verified not a made only of the disappearance of the problem. Tried the default Windows repeatedly route to nothing does not.

• When I click on my mail to display in the box of Messenger all that get is a page that says Internet Explore cannot disply web page

  1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
  2. What web browser are you using to print Web pages?

  If you use Internet explorer, then change the margin settings to the title of the page setup in the file menu and check if that helps.

• Outlook express does not open links on web pages e-mail

  Is no longer, I can click on a link of e-mail on any web page and that my outlook express open (6) upwards to compose new e-mail messages. Does not open upward.  Copy and paste is a poor solution band-aid if e-mail link name is different e-mail real address (often).
  I think that an update of firefox (firefox8) may have disabled this... only guess. Hyperlinks to other web page still work. Just impossible to open link in email that opens my outlook express 6 to create new message and puts in e-mail address in the 'To' line up.
